"the sonos move is my favorite in terms of ... sound. ... I really enjoy the sound of those two speakers because it is very clear and solid sounding with pounding bass without sounding cheap."

"But when they work, they’re awesome. I bring them by the pool and the system sounds amazing"

"They are going to be better (in terms of sound quality) than most portable Bluetooth speakers unless you need/want something smaller ... sound great"

"And the way it can hold on to my crappy over-crowded 2.4GHz wifi signal at ASTOUNDING distances from my house is downright mystical. ... My kids can be in the neighbours yard, outside, 200 feet from my router & still bark song requests at Alexa and IT WORKS!!"

"plays with Sonos or as Bluetooth"

"the Move/Move2 still has Bluetooth connectivity"

"And the portability is amazing. ... I bought it for grilling and hanging outside and being able to come inside with the same music rocking. It does that without complaint. ... The portability has been a game changer as I can place it in random rooms of my house either because I want to, or I’m trying to achieve seamless sound in multiple places."

"portable"

"I keep my single M1 on blutooth and take it around pairing to my phone, my computer my bedroom Tv and camping"

"Our Move has had the shit kicked out of it. It’s dented & scratched & has paint flaking off of it. It’s been left out overnight in the rain multiple times. Gets chlorinated pool water all over its control surfaces, weekly."

"Good build quality"

"Battery charge last 8-10 hours."

"But it still sounds AMAZING. And the battery life is still delightfully robust despite years of faithful service."

"Anytime I group it with my other speakers (Ones, Five, Sub) I consistently get playback issues."

I have 4. Only issue I have is whenever the Sonos system gets glitchy, these seem to be the speakers most affected. Losing volume control, etc. But when they work, they’re awesome. I bring them by the pool and the system sounds amazing

Not enough to tell you not to buy one, but they can be annoying sometimes.

I just bought one and love it. Great sound for what it is. And the portability is amazing. I bought it for grilling and hanging outside and being able to come inside with the same music rocking. It does that without complaint. The portability has been a game changer as I can place it in random rooms of my house either because I want to, or I’m trying to achieve seamless sound in multiple places. I was doing a project that was adjacent to my kitchen where I have to Sonos Ones. I put the move on the adjacent space. Both playing the same music, is it high fidelity, no. But it allowed me to jam out, not use ear buds, and not have to start stop music as I moved between spaces. I want another so I can have true stereo in the backyard. But one is already enough to annoy the neighbors! Maybe in the next house!

I would KILL for this! The camp speaker is comically bad. If they did a collaboration with Sonos and had a Sonos Move quality speaker that fit in the camp speaker spot and charged automatically… there’s almost no amount of money I wouldn’t pay to acquire that. I love my Sonos Move so much. Pretty much every time I turn it on I am impressed by the quality of the sound and deep bass that they were able to get out of that little thing.

I’ve had it for a month. I originally dismissed it as I have the roam, but it really is good. Good build quality, no issues with setup or daily use and is a handy portable speaker that doesn’t compromise on spec.

How does the Bose max compare to the Flex gen 1 and gen 2? I have a gen 1 and am looking to upgrade, use case is mostly outside in the backyard or camping, sometimes indoors when away from home. For home use I already use a Sonos Move gen 1 which has been great for me so far

I have two Move 2s set up as a stereo pair, and I find them to be excellent. Absolutely no complaints. Also have a couple of original Move set up the same way and the Move 2s are a step up.

I have one. Is it convenient? Yes. But does it throw the entire rest of my system off? Yes. Anytime I group it with my other speakers (Ones, Five, Sub) I consistently get playback issues.
