I don't think the speakers you have in mind are powerful enough for your application. I would at least choose a speaker from the boombox class, such as the W-King X20, the Tribit StormBox Blast 1 or 2, or, if you can still get it, an EarFun UBOOM X, which offers the best value for money. The Soundcore Boom 2 Plus/Pro is quite light, but I deliberately put it at the bottom of my list.
Wking x20 all day everyday
I own the x20 also and can tell ya right now .. in my opinion anyways... that it absolutely wipes the floor with the soundcore boom 2 pro.... I haven't owned the plus version but I bought the boom 2 pro at Walmart few weeks ago for 197.99 and just not at all impressive to my ears. But those style a speakers are on a different playing field than this boom 2
I know i love the x20 ... i also just returned a zealot s89 cuz it had multiple defects so can't comment on that speaker but the wking with the app and super fast charging it's a beast and it does not distort or lose its bass at high volume .... can't rec that speaker enough in my opinion
Here's the thing . You could get the og tribit blast for anywhere from 140 to 170 and smoke this and everything else .... or spend tad more or wait for a killer sale and get the wking x20 which smokes literally everything including the hb3 ... oh did he say x20 better than bb3 ?? F yes I did and the thing charges with type c up to 60 watts so ya can charge it on the go.. . Crazy how the x20 is still kickin ass over almost everything and its been out for lil over a year
I have just got one, at the moment I'm not that impressed with the bass or overall sound quality, what EQ settings are you using, I've heard so many good things about the X20 hence the purchase.
Thank you, I have updated the firmware and tried the standard EQ's and made some custom too. I've got a earfun uboom x, this has much more bass, I've purchased the custom EQ's online, I know it's more hassle, but it sounds really good. I expected so much more from the X20.....I will persist, on paper, the X20 should be better, unfortunately it's not there yet.
I bought a Wking X20 for about $250 half of JBL Boombox 3 and sounds just as good to any except perhaps a true audiophile - which my sound engineer buddy is and he said it sounds great! So now Iβm looking at replacing my 2 JBL Charge 5βs with two Wking X10βs. Saw a Youtube sound comparison and IMHO x10 blows the Charge 5 away. There is no way in hell I am paying JBL premium price for the Charge 6 my 5βs are not even a year old - gifting them to my son
I have a BMW z3 I use a wking x20 in it. Got it from them on temu for like 180. Sounds amazing for a Bluetooth speaker
after some extensive research went with W-KING X20, which I got on Temu from the official brand store (after coupons it was like $160, currently on amazon for about $220 with a 40% off coupon). what eventually convinced me after going back and forth on all suggestions was price and this video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNZ6SPZ7tI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXNZ6SPZ7tI) and it was on the list of suggested speakers for loudness, plus has tws so could eventually get another one :)
I got one and returned it. I did not like the mids on it and the bass was too sloppy. The w-king x20 sounds way better to me. Has more mids than the JBL's and enough bass that sounds clean as heck! It still surprises me as I listen to more and more songs I know well on it.
No. Yours has a sub my man :) It's the better config for sound quality. This thing is just over driven mids. It might go a little lower but with way more distortion.
it does get beat by my w-king x20 tho. It's just a more powerful version of that bb3. It's an incredible thing with huge midrange, not just bass. Sounds great for classic rock
No. A w-king x20 will beat this in sound quality. This thing sounds like muddy subwoofer to me. Over driven drivers. This is expensive for a badge and sounds worse.
I have a w-king x20 and itβs loud. Louder than my boombox 3. It sounds good too.
I own a JBL boombox 3 WIFI. It sounds fantastic! I also own a W-king x20, which sounds great for what you pay, but nothing like my boombox 3 WiFi.
Iβll give you one speaker for the boombox size for bass. W-king x20 obliterates the ones on the list. I could go on but stopping with one.
Boombox 3 WiFi edition, if you have the money. The Harmon Kardon go + play 3 is great also. If you need something a little cheaper, but still delivers, the W-king x20. The boombox, and the x20 have a good kick to their bass. The Harmon isnβt lacking just not as much. The boombox, and the x20 get louder than the Harmon, and have way more battery life. All three have clean vocals. All three are very portable.
399 is way to much for the xdobo. Iβm looking at alibaba, and itβs 259. The xdobo looks a lot like my w-king x20, and I only paid like 230 for that. Not sure how much the x20 is where youβre at, but Iβm really happy with mine. If you donβt mind spending the money get the JBL.
I do like my x20.
Get the w-king x20 is louder than the jbl bb3 and has a bigger battery
W King X-20. I just got one on Amazon for $200 and it's so good for the money. It's a large heavy speaker, but it sounds like a large heavy speaker in a good way. Deep bass clear mids and highs. It's perfect for my needs.
I just updated to the latest firmware and it sounds really good. I alternate between the Party and Rock EQ and put the bass boost on. I haven't had it for too long so I haven't tinkered with more EQs but for the price and form factor there's not many competitors that will give you more bass. For more bass you'd likely need a party box style Bluetooth speaker. Size matters when it comes to moving air.
W King X-20 has mic/guitar input and lots of bass. It's larger though but again you don't really get good bass with smaller speakers.
I would go with a boom box or larger. The W King X-20 is pretty good for karaoke as it has a wired mic hookup and long battery. The only draw back is there's no separate mic volume. You could look into one of the smaller JBL Encore or Party boxes too.
I'm really happy with all my purchases this year. I needed a small desk speaker for my office and bought a Tribit X Sound Go and it's been great in such a small space. I also use it as my travel speaker since it takes up hardly any space in a carry on suitcase. I was able to find a 2nd one for $20 so now they pair in stereo. I also purchased a W King X-20 and this thing is amazing for the price. I needed a larger party speaker and I couldn't be happier with the volume this produces. Nice deep bass and zero distortion. The battery life has impressed me keeping charged for more than 6 hours of playing at 80% or higher volume. I just got a Storm Box Lava for $60 yesterday. I wasn't really looking to add to my collection but for that price I couldn't pass it up. I'm surprised at how much bass this thing is capable of and it sounds really clean. This will probably be my main paddleboard speaker going forward.
This is a fantastic unbiased review. I really wish you would have tried the W King X-20. I just purchased one and it's phenomenal for the price. There is no escaping the weight, but the included shoulder strap helps a ton. I have 2 Tribit X Sound Gos and was able to find a Tribit Lava for $60 that's coming this week. I was considering a Storm Box Blast 2 to keep things under one umbrella and selling the X-20, but after reading your review I'm feeling better about my decision with the W King.
