"That Arzopa monitor you have in your thumbnail is one of the only portable monitors which is suitable for passthrough charging and explicitly states it as such - confirmed myself with a wattage reading USB C cable."

"Some of these monitors have power pass through. So you connect your steam deck charger to the monitor, and then connect monitor to steam deck with 2nd usbc cable. Steam deck charges and monitor runs just fine. ... I have the Arzopa z1rc, very pleased with it."

"First the usb stopped working to carry video. Only mini hdmi worked."

"However, with the Switch 2, I can't get it to output video with just USB-C cable. ... I have ARZOPA portable monitor. There's lots of YouTube shorts showing OG Switch/OLED being used with the monitor. Thought it would be the same with Switch 2 but noticed it only works with dock when used with monitor. No USB-C cable only. ... It's not a monitor issue considering you're having issues, I tried on 2 portable monitor and an actual LG UltraFine computer monitor that is USB-C and neither work. It's the Switch 2 and the way it's transmitting video. It seems to require HDMI output. ... The only thing that doesn't seem to work is USB-C to monitor like the OG Switch/OLED. So if you want to connect Switch 2 to a monitor, it requires a dock :("

"You can't power the ARZOPA from the dock itself. Just imagine the portable monitor still being your normal TV. it will still require its own power source. ... Even if you connect USB-C power adapter to monitor to power the monitor and other USB-C port on monitor to dock, its not enough to power as the monitor can't output the minimum 60W that the Switch 2 requires."

"I have one, and I like it better than the Arzopa one, which I used to have. Just be careful, they tend to break easily; they're cheap electronics. ... Maybe not that much, but one died in two weeks, after filing a complaint I have another one, so far it's been alive for 2 months, we'll see"

"Same, they are extremely fragile."

"the arzopa I had fell over while I was using it and the screen got busted."

"Truly awful washed out colours"

"Yeah I tried to hang with the HDR but couldn’t do it."

"The HDR is mediocre."

"Brightness, not so good. While hindi naman reflective ung display, I can't consider it to be usable pag nasa may window ka banda naka set. Kakainin ng sunlight ung liwanag nya."

Also Arzopa like OP. I've got the Z1RC but there are a range of other models varying in size, resolution and refresh rate. https://global.arzopa.com/products/arzopa-z1rc-2k-portable-monitor-brilliant-qhd-500nits-8bit-display

I´m using an arzopa z1rc with my base model m4 mini. It just needs to connect the usb c cable to one of the TB4 ports in the back of the mini to work. I have no issues at all.

Anyway few things to ask lang Saan mo gagamitin? Oo like pairing sa gaming rig pero like what exactly? Supported ba ng pc mo yung USB A to C? If sa GPU mo isa lang ang HDMI mo kailangan mo ng converter. Anong device pang gagamit mo?

I have had a few. Had a couple Asus models, when my last ones screen cracked during travel I bought the ARZOPA 16" 2.5K Portable Monitor, 2560x1600. It’s cheaper and better quality than the Asus. Just wish it came with a protective cover, but am using the old Asus one.

Update. I’m always anal about best bang for buck and eventually got the Arzopa Z1RC. It’s 16inch 2.5k 60hz. Available on Aliexpress for roughly €100 but I wanted it sooner so bought it through the Arzopa website with their starter discount code to total €142. Monitor arrived today and I am really impressed with the build quality. Picture is extremely clear and it’s working as expected.

wwhy not? thunderbolt? Whether using Arzopa Z1RC via usbc or through the CalDigit TS4 (mac or windows), on mac or iPad as host, I get relatively great visuals. Z1RC is 60Hz with 2.5k resolution on a 16 inch. Why? Between the Mac mini m4 and Arzopa's tweaked firmware, there's HDR, SDR, contrast, various colorspace options. If I were working with a team, i might want some calibration between members. As it is, there's a little bit of calibration achievable on the Arzopa via its OSD menu. I don't mind thatit isn't all ready set go. Also, with Mac mini m4, by using a pair or 3of displays, not just the Z1RC, i am able to do extended and mirrored on external, then add an older iPad's stylus with continuity to navigate Mac app at distance.

Two 60Hz portable Arzopa Z1RC (not the Z1FC 144Hz) with displayport which Arzopa engineered to support a wide variety of computing devices. That and the price is why I upgraded from their other displays. - PRICE ranges per display $104 -$129 between 2024 and 2025 September 4, even though original was higher. Their compatibility list is listed per each product listing. I've seen their reddit replies advising us to ask before buying if our computer or other device isn't on website. These displays aren't designed to survive graphics card overdrive beyond the Arzopa Hz (display refresh rate). Each Z1RC has 16.0 inch diagonal, 2.5K resolution, 500 nits. (Physically the 16" diagonal is between being a 15" and 17" display.). My setup focus does not use the HDMI port on display or the Mac Mini, too much confusion. Also note, I am on IPadOS 18.6.2 and MacOS 15.6., not OS 26. Also, I am not using Stage Manager nor HDR. Basics: - Using only Thunderbolt ports, one as main display, the other extended. - Physically, I have them stack on the narrower bezel of longest sides. - Physically to have the narrowest bezel meet, the upper display is upside down* to fake a larger. In System Settings for Displays on the Mac Mini M4: - Although they are capable of 2.5Khz, I use lower settings for my nearsightedness. - Because the upper display is physically upside down, I change "Rotation" to 180 degrees, so its image flips its image's top and bottom. - Then in "Arrangement", by a very helpful OS hint, I saw that when my mouse hovered over each Arzopa icon, simultaneously the display's icon was revealed as #1 or #2. Then when i left mouse click on an icon, its border and that of the physical display turns to red. - Again, because of my eyes, I adjust text size in system or per apps that support that. - Now, I don't yet understand how the OS designates which thunderbolt port will default to role of being #1, first in or by display's specifications. I was just so relieved when I noticed that it clued me with that red border alert. So, I just moved the physical monitors, cables and system's choices until the upper one was identified as #1, and I could see my mouse move up or down across their screens. It's not ideal but the bezels are so thin that I'm willing to accept this. Who's the boss? Although some settings can be done via Arzopa's OSD buttons, I saw that resolution, brightness, and a few other settings were dominated by and saved in the Mac Mini system settings for displays Bonus is that I can use same account iPad and share mouse and keyboard, or even add iPad as another extended display. I learned also that a Mac extended or mirrored to my iPad is a window on my iPad, and just like other apps on my iPad, i can access my other iPad apps. I do prefer to stay within Apple's app store on the iPad and with developer's whose products remain consistent at least with security upkeep. There's much usefulness in what the macOS can do without adding paid or subscription utility apps. With most of my software on iPad and iPhone, I don't see much to prefer using on the Mac. Maybe for macOS more robust Pages or Books or if ever I grow beyond iPad Procreate, Affinity apps, Nomadsculpt, using touch to play the Pianos on GarageBand, or the versatility of using touch, mouse and keyboard.

Based dyan sa pinagpipilian mo, I'd pick the Z1RC. 16" may be on the bigger side pero more useful naman for multitasking yung 1600p resolution compared to 1080p.
