"I have a child and cat so there's always stuff on the floor, it's object avoidance is flawless so far."
"For some reason your tool ranks it near the top for basically every category even though it has significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."
"Obstacle avoidance is also brilliant. It's only become stuck once since I received it during Black Friday, and I blame that on the Christmas tree."

"It works great with long hair and long haired corgi fur in my home. This is absolutely tangle free in my use and the correct cover can stop hair from going to the sides."
"Both completed their runs every attempt and took the total job time from 8+ hours (vac and mop) to under 3 hours."
"Twin rollers are a bit nicer if you’ve got pets that shed a ton ... Twin rollers are genuinely helpful for pets. They grab more hair and are less prone to tangles compared to the single roller, so that’s the biggest dog-owner benefit."

"the l40 ultra is just an undeniably. Great deal. ... For under $500? No brainer, its fantastic. ... the l40 is a crazy banana pants price. ... You're getting a premium vacuum at a budget price. So nothing's going to beat it. ... you're getting a premium, $1500 robot at 1/3 of the price. It's such a good deal it's hard to argue for anything else at that price point. ... One is a premium on deep discount and the other is at best mid-tier. Like comparing a steak to a hamburger. ... when you compare it to other $500 robots, it blows them out of the water. ... too good a deal to pass up, even though I'm a roborock loyalist. ... the l40 ultra is a screaming deal and it would be smart to take advantage of it. ... at that price? It's hard to pass up. You're getting a premium robot for a budget price. I think the L40 is a better value. ... This will be better."
"Best cost efficient choice: dreame L40 Ultra and the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra are 599 USD on Amazon for their Easter sale. Both models are essentially the same save for the L40 having the ability to remove its mops. ... Even better!"
"The L40 Ultra will be the most cost effective de facto flagship at 400ish which blows other robots at the same price out of the water."

"Mopping is stunning, I mean I’m staring at our floor speechless. ... My floor is cleaner than it’s ever been.."
"Dreame is currently the best at deploying the side brush and extended mop with the best edge mopping."
"For corner cleaning, Dreame is the most aggressive in terms of its algorithm."

"always leaving water on the bottom of the base station. ... Gross water that I'm sure would start smelling over time."
"now the dock doesn't dispense water when cleaning mops or washpad, so there's no longer any mop cleaning."
"When trying to wash the dock station using the app - it refused to pour any water ... fixed with a syringe like described [here]"

"The tricut brush which you can purchase and install does a excellent job preventing hair wrap but I have found it is significantly less effective on hard floors. ... It seems to do fine in most cases but I did notice the robot fails to pick up medium sized debris like cat treats. ... Yesterday I did some drywall patching and had some drywall chunks and pieces for the robot to pickup and the tricut brush just pushed the debris around and accumulated it in the brush guard failing to push it into the dustbin. ... It would appear to pick it up but when the robot turned around all the debris would be left at the spot where the robot turned."
"For the L40 ultra, I also had the issue where it had very poor hard floor performance even with the tricut brush. ... Turned out that the roller wasn’t touching the floor so debris would not be picked up and was defective."
"Vacuum performance is somehow worse than my old vacuum (with both tri-cut and standard brushes) ... it just randomly leaves debris on the floor so sometimes it seems like a room wasn't cleaned at all."

"Customer service has been near impossible to talk to"
"- Its product support is atrocious."
"My first Dreame L40 was a dud, but Dreame replaced it in one week after they saw my review on Amazon. Hopefully it keeps running!"
Where? Camelcamelcamel has the L40 ultra as the lowest ever being \~499 but otherwise over 1k
r/RobotVacuums • Insane prime day deals for robot vacuums ->I picked it up today at 477, I installed Keepa on firefox and checked, the last time itw as sub 500 was for a few days in May, but generally seems to hover at a much higher price. Either way theyre probably clearing stock for another model release
r/RobotVacuums • Insane prime day deals for robot vacuums ->I can't compare with other models on your list but I just got a L40 ultra non-AE version and the obstacle avoidance works great. I was coming from an L10 prime and obstacle avoidance is like day and night. Maintenance is easier too in the L40 versus the L10 (self dust discharge, mops dry with hot air, tricut blade preventing hair tangling). If you want to know anything about the L40 just ask
r/RobotVacuums • Best buy for an house with cats and no carpets among these? ->Io ho preso un L40 ULTRA però NON AE che ho visto ha qualche caratteristica in meno
r/RobotVacuums • Which one would you buy? ->Dreame l40 ultra or Mova p10 pro ultra are solid and can often be found on sale for around $500. They are basically the same with the main difference being that the l40 can drop its mop pads at its base station. Don’t know what your budget is but at that value it is incredibly hard to beat. Keep an eye out on Amazon they should at the very least be back on sale on prime day.
r/RobotVacuums • Affordable options for robot vacuums ->The l40 ultra is probably the best value right now when on sale at the $500 price point. And honestly If you concern yourself with every negative review you will never buy a robot vacuum. None are perfect and you’ll find varying opinions on even the ones people consider the best. And you nailed it with your comment that if people have issues, they are more likely to go online and complain about it than they are to praise it when their device works flawlessly.
r/RobotVacuums • L40 ultra dreame ->Well said. I’ve tried a few of the pricier ones and just bought a Dreame l40 ultra as my “budget” option to compare. While I think the pricier ones are a bit better in performance (in some ways, not all) it just feels silly spending $800+ on a machine whose features will be dated in just a couple years. I mean just take the Dreame x40 ultra for example. Last year they sold new at $1900. Now you can get one for around $500. And You cannot beat the value of the l40 ultra or Mova p10 pro ultra. I think it’s the perfect robot for most peoples needs.
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->I tried both the T80 Omni and eufy e28. You can check my last post for a comparison. I also have been using the Dreame l40 ultra. I have a dog that sheds an insane amount and all of these vacuums have no problem picking up his fur. So mopping is really where you’re gonna see the most differences. Considering the points you made about the types of messes in your place, you may find a roller mop would be a bit more beneficial for you. It’s better at cleaning up stains and spills. Now if you generally have clean floors, I don’t think you’d see a noticeable difference between a roller and a spinning mop, especially if you run it nightly. That is how my house is and the dirty water in my T80 is just as dirty in my l40 ultra. You could also check out the mova z50 or v50. I think the z50 seems to be one of the best mopping performers rn but unfortunately not available in my country. However I do have a v50 coming this week as I want to give that one a try too. I hear really good things.
r/RobotVacuums • Which is the best vacuum+mop robot as of July 2025 (budget of around $1300/£1000)? ->I’m really interested in this one. I actually have the v50 showing up Monday but I’m already thinking of keeping it boxed and sending it back because I have been using a Dreame l40 ultra that I’ve been pretty impressed with and while I’m sure the v50 is better, will I think it’s $500 better when it’s just me and my dog in a 1 bed apartment with mostly hard floors? Probably not. I also had the e28 myself and share some of your complaints so I sent it back. I know a lot of people are sold on the idea of roller mops over spinning mops but after being able to test both, I definitely agree that a good spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. And tbh, unless you have a lot of spills or overly stained/dirty floors, you’re really not going to see much of a difference in performance between a roller and spin mop. I’ve had the eufy e28, ecovacs t80 Omni and they both returned the same amount of dirty water as the l40 ultra did.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I tried both of these as well. I wrote a comparison in my most recent post and agree with your points. I ended up buying the Dreame l40 ultra as a “budget” option and I think I’m going to keep that one. Sure the T80 Omni does some things better but imo not $400 better. And at the rate the tech is moving, these things will be outdated in just a couple years. So I figured I’ll stick with one that does a good job instead of dropping 2x-3x on one that gives me marginal performance improvements. Then I can buy another mid range robot in a couple years when the tech is better and end up spending on 2 what I would have on 1 premium robot.
r/RobotVacuums • The review for Eufy x10 Omni I wish I had ->Both. My dog sheds an insane amount and it does a good job at picking it up, especially on hard floor. It’s not perfect on the couple rugs I have but enough where instead of vacuuming Manually daily, I only have to do it once every 1-2 weeks. I just bought the tri-cut brush for it too which supposedly helps with hair and pet fur. The mova p10 pro ultra is still [on sale for $499](https://www.amazon.com/MOVA-P10-Pro-Ultra-360%C2%B0Obstacle/dp/B0DGR1VDTB) too which is basically the same as the l40 ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • The review for Eufy x10 Omni I wish I had ->Slightly over budget but check out the Dreame l40 ultra or Mova p10 pro ultra. These are essentially the same (sister companies) and you will not come anywhere close to beating the performance for the price. You can get the [l40 ultra on eBay refurbished for $449](https://ebay.us/m/UROL86) right now, or the [mova p10 pro ultra](https://www.amazon.com/MOVA-P10-Pro-Ultra-360%C2%B0Obstacle/dp/B0DGR1VDTB/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=174216578632&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.NzCqKu3nlFFduePFwJznvA5wGHFgebsrMb8FS35FSbaAUmGXuS6Vg62wl60HDi0NsfL0sKU-daX-PmHZhmyCwF-V_KiTFkifQit2gbXYduq_B8rTniWPsOrLCWF6s1as32CqRkvY6O4Mt6RDFrb1dYWtDLseRLNlCsXjWt7Alc8ImSH_68Z_4NVqobo0YugC6y70fpv6CAUrDbqQL-fL_A.sEE2o97Dh-r320pNogxmJHwg9TEW_phCHW3zd6dHgs8&dib_tag=se&hvadid=729579260533&hvdev=m&hvexpln=68&hvlocphy=9061184&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=10306761465268670229--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=10306761465268670229&hvtargid=kwd-2382339236817&hydadcr=27756_14519795&keywords=mova+p10+pro+ultra&mcid=10a88f25aed8360a84279a2103f713f1&qid=1753128734&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1) is $499 new on Amazon. Only real difference between the 2 is the l40 ultra can drop its mop pads at the station. I can personally speak to how well they work with pet hair. I have a chow chow mix that sheds an INSANE amount. Ever since owning one of these and running it nightly, my floors are furless. Highly recommend! Also you don’t realize you need mopping til you actually get one that can. I went in not caring either but so glad I got one that does.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum for german shepherds ->I don’t think there are any mop rollers out rn that are worth buying over some of the better spinning mops. IF you’re adamant on sticking to rollers, I would wait for some of the newer options to release if you can. But also, I think roller mops are seriously overhyped. Don’t get me wrong, they are better at some things like cleaning up spills or excessive stains. But if you run it nightly and don’t have overly dirty floors, you’re not gonna notice much difference vs a spinning mop machine. As for alternative recs that aren’t rollers, people seem to like the Mova v50 and Roborock Saros 10r. I’ve personally been using the Dreame l40 ultra and I’m happy with it after trying the ecovacs T80 Omni and eufy e28 and not liking them all that much.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Mop Roller robot ? ->FWIW I always thought it was gimmicky until I bought a good one. Now I wondered why I didn’t buy it a long time ago. Especially with modern features like self emptying dust bins and water. Are you in the US? Idk if this is in your budget range but you should check out the mova p10 pro ultra or dreame l40 ultra. They are probably the best value out there for under $500.
r/RobotVacuums • Is a robot vac/ mop worth it? ->I’ve also been testing these 2 side by side. I also agree that the T80 Omni does a better job. However, I still don’t think it’s good enough for me to want to keep it. And I especially don’t trust ecovacs as a brand. While it works good now, it’s been said over and over that reliability is not ecovacs strong suit. I do believe roller mops are better performers but there are more options right on the horizon so I think it’s worth waiting if you don’t have an immediate need to buy one and are adamant on getting one with a roller mop. My next test is to determine if a great spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. So I bought the mova v50 and dreame x40 and will make a post on my experience after spending some time with it.
r/RobotVacuums • Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 ->The x40 that I bought was refurbished and had wonky navigation so I sent it back, but bought a new l40 ultra and I really like it. The navigation is pretty good and object avoidance has been pretty solid too. Is it perfect? No. And the T80 is probably still a bit better at mopping. But it was good enough for me to realize that it wasn’t worth paying the extra money for the T80 or e28. So both of them got sent back and I kept the l40 ultra. As for the Mova v50, I have it sitting in its box still in my house as I decided I’m going to send it back for the fact that I don’t feel it’s worth me spending twice the price as the l40 ultra for what is likely marginal performance gains. Don’t get me wrong I am sure it is better, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the robot vac tech is just moving so quickly that spending money on a premium robot whose features will be dated in just a couple years wasn’t a good idea. So I’m happy with the performance of the l40 ultra and will be keeping that one.
r/RobotVacuums • Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 ->I was between these 2 and based on reviews it seems the z60 is the better performer (and has less issues) so that’s the one I went with. Only had it for a couple days but it’s a noticeable upgrade from the l40 ultra I was using.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame aqua 10 or mova z60? ->Absolutely. I have a chow chow mix that sheds an insane amount. I kinda had just accepted the fact that there would always be tumbleweeds of dog fur everywhere and have lived with it for years. Always thought robot vacs were a gimmick until I tried one.they absolutely work. It picks up 99% of my dogs fur and I run it daily. I was kicking myself for not investing sooner. Check out the mova p10 pro ultra or the dreame l40 ultra. These are the most recommended in that price range. Very hard to beat that value for the features and performance it comes with at that price.
r/RobotVacuums • Pet hair: Will a robot vacuum help? ->I own the Dreame l40 ultra which is basically the same as the Mova p10 pro. It’s ok with pet fur on carpet but it definitely leaves a good amount behind. I just bought the Mova z60 for that very reason (in addition to its improved mopping) and it does a much better job. Also The v50 is a noticeable upgrade from the p10 pro. If you have the money or just want the best, I would stretch it.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a robot vacuum .Roborock Curv, curx or MOVA v50 ->I had bought a dreame l40 ultra which people rave about here. I think it’s good for the price but it won’t replace manual mopping. I hadn’t manually mopped my place in the 2 months I had it as I was running the robot mop daily. Tbh I was kinda shocked how dirty my floors were still. I have the same kind of vinyl plank flooring myself. Also the vacuuming isn’t so great for dog fur on carpets if that applies to you. My dog sheds like crazy too and the robot does do an excellent job on hard floors but it lacks on carpets or rugs. I think it’s good for the price, but if you are focusing strictly on mopping, get a roller or track mop. Narwal flow, dreame aqua 10 pro, Mova z60, Eufy s1 pro are all good options. Eufy s2 pro could be out soon too.
r/RobotVacuums • Are sub 1k mop bots worth the buy? ->Consider the l40 ultra. I love mine!
r/Dreame_Tech • Which of these 4 robot vacuums is the best? ->Considering your house is mostly hard floors, the s1 pro is a good choice however it struggles if you have carpet. If you have a mix of carpet and hard floors, I recommend the Dreame X40/L40 as it has significantly better carpet performance and edge cleaning due to the extending side brush. While the S1 pro has very impressive mopping, running a spinning mop style robot on a schedule will keep your floors as clean but one large benefit of the roller mops design in the S1 pro is that it is less likely to trap debris and scratch your floors.
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->Yeah the Dreame Tricut brush fits right into the p10, it's the same hardware as the Dreame L40.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair Now ->Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. For the same money I would get a Dreame l10S or L20 instead. I posted my full review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AVD9Ph2eHK
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy household? ->Mova and Dreame are sister companies. The p10 pro ultra is just a rebadged L40. The docks are the exact same part number infact. If you are wondering how it will perform, look at the reviews for the L40. The only feature it's missing is leaving the mop pads at the dock.
r/RobotVacuums • Can anyone give feedback on the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra mop/ vacuum? Thanks! ->They are identical. Both are going to have the same flaws. I would just get the L40. Dreame is known for not having the best quality control but like most electronics the failure rate follows a bathtub curve. Chances are it will fail within the first few hours of operation or it will work reliably for years before failing. Both of my X40 certified refurbs have been flawless and I've put over 300 operating hours between the two. I would get the L40 if you are getting it for less than the p10 pro ultra and run it every day to make sure if you have a dud, that you can return it within the Amazon return period. Dreame has the best obstacle avoidance in the market, you don't have to prep your house every time you run it. I run both of my x40s on a daily schedule and they rarely if ever get stuck.
r/RobotVacuums • Can anyone give feedback on the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra mop/ vacuum? Thanks! ->Mova P10 pro ultra or Dreame X40/L40. Mova is Dreame's sister company and the P10 pro ultra is the Dreame L40 but being sold at a fraction of the price. All three are solid performers with the best object avoidance on the market along with equivalent cleaning performance to the top Roborocks. As of right now Dreame is far ahead of Roborock in object avoidance so generally with the flagship Dreame/Mova products you don't need to prep your house before you run the robot which makes it easier to trust the robot to run on a daily schedule with it getting stuck. If you can wait a few months, I would do that as Dreame and Roborock just announced a bunch of new models at CES. The new models look pretty impressive but reviewers haven't made full videos on them yet.
r/homeautomation • Robotic vacuum recommendation ->Dreame x40/L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. Dreame/Mova have the best object avoidance on the market currently along with having top notch cleaning performance. I run my X40s daily on a schedule and they never get stuck on cords or cat toys. The QRevo slim I also ordered to compare my X40 again would basically always eat a cord, sock or cat toy when running so I couldn't trust it to run on a schedule and returned it. Roborock in general has top notch cleaning performance but horrible object avoidance and I would not recommend roborock for that reason Eufy has pretty good object avoidance, especially in the S1 pro but the common issue with Eufy's products is that they underperform when it comes to vacuum performance. They fail to pick up debris on hard floors and carpets. And perform worse than Dreame/roborock.
r/RobotVacuums • Best option for my cluttered house? ->Neither. 1) roborock has horrible obstacle avoidance, especially on carpet so they will eat cords, towels and socks so it's hard to run any of their vacuums on a schedule 2) the roborock s8 maxV ultra is a 2 year old design as this point and their sonic mopping system is outdated. It seems like they didn't want to cannibalize their QRevo line up and stacked on a silly side mop onto it. 3) the QRevo edge is good but if you are set on roborock, check out the QRevo slim as it has the best object avoidance out of all Roborocks but that isn't really a high bar to overcome as their robots have object avoidance that is comparable to a $400 robot. Personally since you have so much carpet, I would recommend the Dreame X40, L40 and the Mova P10 pro ultra (sub brand of Dreame). All have excellent hardfloor and carpet performance while also having class leading object avoidance. I currently have qrevo slim that I'm testing and a Dreame x40 ultra. The x40 just a far better cleaning system due to the object avoidance since I can run it daily.
r/RobotVacuums • Help Me Choose Between Roborock S8 Max V Ultra and new Roborock Qrevo Edge ->The L40 and Mova p10 pro ultra are effectively identical. Same part numbers on the docks. Only difference being that the L40 can leave it's mop pads at the dock. The Dreame x50 is the best out of the ones you listed but it's probably out of your budget. The Roborock s8 pro ultra does not have a camera based obstacle avoidance system and is frankly old tech at this point, would not recommend it. The X40 ultra is possibly the best value out of the bunch it you can get it for $500-$700. Basically identical to the l40 and Mova P10 pro ultra but has longer battery life and slight difference obstacle avoidance sensors but still the l40 and X40 perform better than anything else for the money with regards to object avoidance. Since you have only hardfloors, I still think a roller mop style robot is probably best for you since spinning mop system tend to smear debris around while rollers like the Eufy s1 and E25/e28 always keep the mop clean. If you can get a Eufy e25 within your budget, I would get that, if not I would look at the Dreame l40 or Mova P10 pro ultra, which ever is cheaper.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame, Roborock, Mova, or Eufy? ->Dreame X40/L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. The P10 usually goes on sale for $679 and it's like 90% the same as the x40 which goes on sale for around $800-900. The p10 has a slightly smaller battery and is missing the ability to leave the mop pads at the dock. The X40/L40 and P10 are probably the best overall robot vacuums on the market right now with the best object avoidance, equivalent carpet and hard floor performance to Roborock and equivalent app features. These robots also have extending side brushes which do a great job getting into corners and areas where the robot can't normally reach. The tricut brush which you can purchase and install does a excellent job preventing hair wrap but I have found it is significantly less effective on hard floors. The included roller brush does a good job on carpet and hard floors. The excellent obstacle avoidance enables you to schedule your robot to run daily without having to prep your house, it just avoids cords, socks and other common obstacles significantly better than Roborock's most expensive offerings. No one makes a perfect robot vacuum right now, all have some compromises, for example the x40 side brush currently cannot spin on carpet (they are fixing it in a software update) and it's Cliff sensors are very sensitive so Dreame vacuums have more trouble with dark/black carpets or mats. Roborock makes vacuums with excellent cleaning performance but atrocious obstacle avoidance so they rarely can finish a cleaning run unless you prep your house. Eufy brings a lot of features to the table for the money but seriously struggles with vacuum pickup performance. If you wait for the middle of this year, there will be alot of impressive offerings like the Dreame x50, and Roborock Saros series and maybe even Eufy will fix their issues with the x10 and bring out a new flagship killer that actually has good vacuum performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Not loving Roborock Qrevo Pro OR Eufy X10 Pro Omni… ->How much is the Mova p10 pro ultra in your area? Mova is Dreame's sister brand and the p10 pro ultra is identical to the Dreame L40 other than not being able to leave the mop pads at the dock. The L40 is as good as the X40 minus one obstacle avoidance sensor and slightly smaller battery but it performs equally as well but at a lower cost.
r/Dreame_Tech • Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 vs X40 which one is a better buy right now? ->They are identical other than the Mova loses the ability to leave the mop pads at the dock. The spare parts and consumables are interchangeable between the two.
r/Dreame_Tech • what are the differences between L40 ultra and Mva P10 pro ultra? ->Get a Dreame or Mova for best obstacle avoidance. I've owned a Eufy x10, Dreame x40 and Roborock QRevo slim. Out of all of them I rate the Dreame x40 far ahead of the other two with the QRevo slim coming in 2nd and Eufy x10 last I currently have two x40s and their obstacle avoidance is nearly flawless. The robots rarely get stuck or eat cables which lets me run them both daily without having to prep my house or intervene. Roborock in general, really struggles with obstacle avoidance, especially on carpet. The QRevo slim I had for a few weeks before returning it would constantly eat cords and cat toys. Do not go with roborock if you value obstacle avoidance. For your case, I would recommend the Dreame L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. Mova is Dreame's sister company and the p10 pro ultra is identical to the Dreame L40 other than not being able to leave the mop pads at the base station. And both are very similar to the X40 other than having a slightly smaller battery and slightly different obstacle avoidance sensors while still being as good as obstacle avoidance. The advantage of the L40 and p10 pro ultra is that you are getting X40 level performance but usually around the $500-700 price point.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vaccum object avoidance ->Dreame L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. The L40 should available on sale for around $400-500. The Mova P10 pro ultra is also around the same price and is identical to the L40 as it is made by Dreame's sister company. Get the L40 over the P10 pro ultra if they are the same price as the L40 gets software updates sooner. The L40 is one of the top performing robots for the money and has excellent hair tangle resistance since you can run the tricut brush. I have 2x Dreame x40s and they have the same brush system as the l40 and I have one running the tricut and one without it. Both have been excellent with resisting hair wrap with the tricut having zero hair tangled on it and the regular brush having a small amount on the ends. The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor. If money is not a constraint and you have lots of carpet, try out the Saros 10r and Dreame X50. Both have some of the best carpet performance while also having good hair wrap resistance. The Saros 10r has slightly better cleaning performance than the x50 but the downside is that its obstacle avoidance is significantly worse than Dreame.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robovac for handling hair with overall strong cleaning performance ->I would push you towards either Roborock or dreame as they both have the best robots in the game and some of the best apps. I would also suggest you to consider using the mopping feature as a lot of new vacuums now are able to smart detect carpet and other things to keep your floors safe. IF you’re not using the mopping feature then it’s super easy to keep you probably under $1500 for three of them without even thinking about it. The other thing I’m going to suggest is keeping all three of them in one ecosystem so you can set up smart schedules through your app and let it handle almost everything. What I would do personally (if I had to buy 3) X1 [Dreame L40 Ultra AE](https://a.co/d/13v1INz) ($999 each): put this in your highest traffic area and you will be blown away by how clean your floors get. [Review](https://youtu.be/0tDHbOp-WjY?si=igaZKjPZlbNyogeJ). x2 [Dreame L40 Ultra](https://a.co/d/gHy9S4I) ($599 each). You could also just get three of these and be very happy. The L40 Ultra a phenomenal robot tha will do anything you could possibly think of asking it while also being able to handle tougher situations. [Review](https://youtu.be/51YlbWSDGDs?si=IoUXFZaR8w-rV58i). This is a steal at $599. Personally, I would just buy two of the L40 ultra AEs and put the Rooma in that unfinished space you were talking about. I would also consider two [Roborock S8 ultra maxes](https://a.co/d/5n5nCQq). I have the S7 ultra and I would die for it.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum fleet recommendations ->There is new L40 ultra ver 2 without mop problem (like on mine) and more suction. It is also cheaper. There is new L50 ultra also available.
r/Dreame_Tech • L40s ultra VS L30 ultra s (help me decide) ->Paid €1280 in January for the L40. After just 500 sqm of cleaning, I’ve been waiting for over a month now for it to be returned, and I still don’t know if they’ll fix the mop attachment issue. Now it’s selling for €500. I won’t be buying anything from Dreame again for a while. Honestly, I’m much closer to just hiring a full-time maid from the Philippines — and that would cost me around €700–800 per month. My wife still objects, though.
r/RobotVacuums • If money wasn’t an issue, what’s the best robot vacuum right now? ->I had picked up the Dreame R20 for my daughter and liked it so much I bought an L40 because of the crazy deal (**almost 70% off!**). I can't wait for it to arrive! [https://a.co/d/64bt5Kl](https://a.co/d/64bt5Kl)
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->I had picked up the Dreame R20 for my daughter and liked it so much I bought an L40 because of the crazy deal (**almost 70% off!**).I see A LOT of good things about it here on reddit. r/RobotVacuums • MOVA P50 Pro Ultra vs Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni vs Roborkck QRevo Edge S5A vs Dreame L40 Ultra ->L40 is way better than the x40....... Get the L40, I have L10, L20, L40 and x40.... L40 kick the ass out of all of them.
r/Dreame_Tech • Trying to pick the right Dreame for Prime Day? Here’s how to sort it all out. ->L10 can clean 20m2 in 19 mins in real world use, L20 with more technical cleaning pushed that up to 29 mins, The L40 with the best cleaning and mop extras etc is 36 mins. The x40..... Same setup as the other 3.....47minutes and it doesn't to as good a job as the L10v2..... I'm just giving honest reviewing! I was very surprised the L40 smashed the x40!
r/Dreame_Tech • Trying to pick the right Dreame for Prime Day? Here’s how to sort it all out. ->I just went back to my old L10 Ultra (the non S version).. it's a workhorse, 287 hours of run time and 103,000sqft cleaned so far and still going strong. The v50 absolutely destroyed the L10 as far a vacuuming performance given it has more power and those dual brushes, but the L10 (in my opinion is better in every other way). I should also point out that I have bought and returned the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni, and the Dreame L40, none of which justified the price of upgrading from the L10.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->I have the L40 with 2 heavy shedding dogs and I love it My buddy has the Mova P10 with three dogs and he loves it. They're essentially the same robot except the L40 automatically detaches the mop pads for vacuum only runs and it also spins the side brush on carpet. I don't know how quiet the P10 is, the L40 is more quiet than my old L10. Just depends on what vacuum power setting you want to run it at. I used to have the L10, suction wasn't great but I love the navigation. It just ran in straight lines and was very efficient.
r/RobotVacuums • First time want to buy a robot vacuum and I am very confused with all the options! ->Agreed, the OG L40 Ultra is the best robot out there in my opinion. These new ones are so smart they're dumb. You get 99% of the performances of the "top of the line" models for 1/3 of the price (when the L40 is on sale), plus the L40 has a phenomenal battery, and you rarely see bad reviews.
r/RobotVacuums • Is Dreame really the best? ->My 2 cents. Buy the Dreame L40 Ultra (the OG) $449 on Walmart and they have the longest, cheapest, best extended warranties. L40 Ultra is simply a workhorse It's 99% of the flagships for 50% of the cost and zero issues. All the flagships have issues and I'm confident they're all on the cusp of figuring those issues out and putting out something really impressive.. watch out for CES 2026 Then when your new robot goes in for maintenance/repair, which is highly likely, you bust out the L40 from storage to fill the gap.
r/RobotVacuums • Which one to buy with unlimited budget? ->L40 is great. I hate to sound like a Dreame fanboy, and I'm definitely not. The X50 drains battery and is so smart that it's dumb.. actually that applies to the L50, L40S Ultra, Aqua 10, etc. pretty much anything Mova/Dreame with the dual brush.
r/RobotVacuums • Which one to buy with unlimited budget? ->P10 is good. Doesn't leave mop pads behind for vacuum only runs (which I do a lot). Walmart warranty is a big factor for me too and they don't sell Mova.
r/RobotVacuums • Which one to buy with unlimited budget? ->L40 Ultra SE is a good robot, great battery, but it doesn't have an extending side brush and doesn't leave mop pads behind for vacuum only runs. I considered it when I upgraded but the L40 is still unbeatable in my opinion.
r/RobotVacuums • Which one to buy with unlimited budget? ->I think most people in this subreddit would agree that the key things in a robot vacuum are solid hard-floor cleaning, reliable pet-hair pickup, and predictable navigation. In my experience, the Roborock CurvX and Dreame L40 Ultra handle edges, thresholds, and obstacles well and don’t need much babysitting. For multi-floor or pet homes, they’re just much less frustrating day-to-day than most other models. for someone with more specific needs, [this comparison table](https://technoranks.com/compare-products/?compareids=2392,1907) might help.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum are you getting? ->I lean slightly toward the Dreame L40 Ultra CE. The mop‑extension + side-brush really give it an edge (“corner cleaning” is often a pain point), and the strong suction is a big plus for real-world messes (especially in a busy home). The bigger dock is a trade-off, but probably worth it for how hands-off it can be. If you have some specific needs, [this comparison table ](https://technoranks.com/compare-products/?compareids=2389,1961)might help.
