Dreame - Z10 Pro

I personally wouldn't get anything that wasn't on the list of robots supported by [Valetudo](https://valetudo.cloud/pages/general/supported-robots.html), the open source software replacement that makes it run entirely locally (although I believe that some models like iRobot might natively have no cloud integration). I'm not that stoked on something with cameras and mapping abilities sending and storing all that data on cloud servers. I've had a Dreame Z10 pro for several years. It's easy to open up and work on (although nothing major beside the consumables like brushes etc has failed yet). I wouldn't call it _actually_ BIFL, but judging on the curve of modern consumer electronics, I'm pretty happy with it. The valetudo mod on that model specifically wasn't the easiest from among the list, but also wasn't that hard, and if you have any electronics tinkering experience at all, I'd call it trivial, but there are models that are even simpler I believe (the site has instructions)

I want the new dreamy cuz I liked the battery life of my x40 my Z is okay but I can't vacuum and mop whole house.. and right now my Roomba has decided to come out on its own and vacuum for me?! LOL

Ütemezetten heti kétszer porszívóz, a dokkolóba ürít. Azt 3-4 havonta kell ürítenünk, Otthon se vagyunk, amikor csinálja. Hétvégén rárakom a vizes tartályt, azzal feltöröl maga után. Sima vízzel, nincs mosószer. Így is patyolat minden. Ha 1-2 havonta 1x fel kell mosnunk mosószerrel, sokat mondok. Szépen kikerül mindent, nyilván nem hagyunk a földön semmi felesleges dolgot. A mobil alkalmazás számon tart mindent. Látod, hogy mikor, hol, hány négyzetméteren, milyen útvonalon takarított. Ha megakad, szól. Minden cserélhető alkatrészéről statisztikát csinál, szól, ha lassan cserés lesz. vagy takarítani kell a szűrőt. Én imádom. És nem egy nagy kiadás. 110 nm-en kószál. Külön szobákra, akár kijelölt területekre is tudod küldeni.

Yes, LIDAR (which this appears to have) versions are much better than without in my experience. I doubt the mopping function is going to be worth using if it doesn't have a clean/dirty reservoir and self cleaning (doesn't look like it does). Depending on how privacy conscious you are, you may want to avoid ever actually connecting it to network. Usually they can still be used in a more rudimentary manner by just hitting the button and sending it. Our Dreame Z10 Pro mapped out the 1st floor nicely and worked pretty effectively even before we connected it to anything. Incidentally, ours is rooted and running Valetudo now, but that's a deep rabbit hole and doubt this bot would be supported.

Some of them also have actual full-color cameras (which they've been known to obfuscate by calling them "optical sensors") as well, pointed at an upward angle. I can't remember if I've heard of them having a mic or not, though it seems with all the voice command stuff, a lot of people don't care about that very much any more for some reason. I was thrilled to get Valetudo operating on our Dreame vacuum itself to emulate the Chinese server and allow me to connect only using local wi-fi; leaving the internet and China out entirely.

We have a self-emptying Dreamebot vacuum and we love it! It goes on good sales for prime day or Black Friday, as it is a pricier one, but it doesn’t get stuck like our previous ones did! They make a mopping one, too.

My old dreame (liidar only) went through poop before so trust me, I get it. The mess... You can't expect it to be 100% perfect obviously. But it avoids cables and strings too, so it rarely gets tangled as well.

From what I've seen from my parents dreamme, I'll stick with my roborock. You cannot even set the name of a room to whatever you want, only choose from a predefined list. And you cannot vacuum your carpets first with dry mops before it vacuums and mops the rest.

My roborock has an option to automatically vacuum carpets that you put on the map first. No fiddling with any sequences. My parents dreamme doesn't have that last time I checked

We have a Dreame that self empties and will mop. It’s in the pricey side, but we’ve also had n auto emptying Shark that I really liked and a Roborock that did very well but you have to empty. FWIW we have two large dogs (Alaskan Malamute and Great Pyrenees) and 8 cats.

Mam ‘to drugie dreame’, czyli Xiaomi, model jakiś tam pro. Działa, jeździ se codziennie w tygodniu i coś tam daje. Gówniaka nie mam, ale dwa koty robią swoje, więc jest co sprzątać. Z hintów: - nie spodziewaj się, że po pierwszym razie będzie czysto, zwłaszcza jak masz syf, daj mu kilka dni pojeździć; - kup z workiem w stacji, bo codziennie opróżniać ten pojemniczek na brud to masakra jakaś, a tak ustawiłem w apce schedule i muszę się przejąć raz na dwa miesiące, żeby wymienić worek; - taki odkurzacz nie oznacza ‘już nigdy sprzątania!’, u mnie co dwa tygodnie jest sprzątaczka i sprząta normalnie. W funkcję mycia nie wierzę, to jest za lekkie, żeby miało sensowny nacisk, przy którym ta szmata zbiera, a nie rozmazuje. Ale nie dam się za ten pogląd pociąć - niektórzy uważają, że to spoko i niech sobie uważają na zdrowie. Spróbować nie zaszkodzi, najwyżej odepniesz szmatkę i będziesz tylko odkurzał.
