"I really really really cannot stress how nice it is to have an auto-empty base. ... You’ve gotta empty the bin every day vs every 60 days."

"Starts when I leave home and when I return it docks and empties. ... I barely see it."

"the real game changers are the Omni-stations. ... You definitely want to buy one with a station, that can empty the dust bin, clean and dry the mopping pads. ... Having to only empty and refill the robot once a week, instead of daily was the hugest step in comfort for me personally."

"I paid so little for the T20 that I'm fine if it gets 99% of the older robot."

"Ecovacs has the worst after sales of any company in any place of the world I have ever experienced. ... The company won’t take responsibility and goi around in circles. ... They wasted more than 6 months after talk to multiple people and site visits and it was escalated till the head of the after sales who I will name clearly: Tanmay Gangani, who is an absolute unprofessional and blatant liar with no sense of responsibility and ethics."

To be fair, my first gen Xiaomi robot vacuum that I replaced last week vacuums way better than the ecovacs T20 omni that took its place.

I mean, it can be both of the things. That Xiaomi vacuumed perfectly, it literally almost never missed a spot, so I can't really imagine how there can be any improvement over perfection ahah In my case I upgraded mostly because I wanted to add mopping, better map management and less noise, and I paid so little for the T20 that I'm fine if it gets 99% of the older robot.

r/BuyItForLifeIndiaBest robot vacuum in India with good mopping performance?

I'm using the ecovacs deebot T20 - vacuum is great. Mop does the job, but not as well as my parents would ideally like. It also leaves spin marks on the ground. Happy with it in general, but the software is buggy as all hell. The app keeps resetting the map, with some weird workarounds required to restore it each time. I really liked the hardware, the app makes it so frustrating though. I'm eyeing the new roborock offerings, they look practically designed for India, they're just too expensive for me.

Ecovacs T20 mop and vac 3 years, over 200 hours on it.

I’ll say something good about them! I’ve had 3, T20, X5 and the X9 which is the best so far. I’ve moved them to my other home as I upgrade and still running great. Now the X5 I had to return, the vacuum box door didn’t close tight, I asked for just the dust bin but they said send it all back so I did, no problems here.

My old T20 was my first one and still going strong. Now have the X9 and love it because of all our wood floors.

I started with the T20, still going at our cabin upstairs, X5 got moved to our cabin main floor, gave my X9 to my daughter since they have a dog, X11 at my main home. Everyone is running perfectly. Of course the X11 does the best cleaning.

r/ecovacsHey Ecovacs users, would new T50 Pro omni be your next pick?

I have the older T20 and does a nice job on both floors, no issues lifting the mops when on carpet then drops them back down on wood floors. It does boost suction on carpet too. I also have the X5 Omni pro which is awesome too

I returned my shark matrix 2 in 1, I returned my ecovacs t20. Both out of the box would not return to the station. The shark cleaned ok and had a terrible map. The t20 cleaned great and had a good map, but the app froze every single time. The eufy x10 Omni cleans great and works.

r/RobotVacuumsNeed suggestion on whether water station and spinning mop is worth it?

Upgraded from the robot that drags the mop around to an ecovac with a water station and spinning mop pads. It’s definitely an upgrade, although still won’t clean any stuck on stains. You need their cleaning solution. My tank stays clean however my friend bought the same model, she doesn’t use the solution and tank gets super stinky.

Depends on the model you buy, I’ve got the one you just drop a capful in the tank. I don’t use it every time I fill up but I think it has something in it that stops bacteria. The model I had before was also ecovac, the software wasn’t great. I think the main complaint was the map disappearing but they’ve fixed that, you can save maps and restore now. Software on the new one is excellent. It also maps your entire house in a few minutes now compared to the old one that would take an hour. I’m pretty happy with it, most of the complaints I’ve seen are for stupid things, like not docking ( they don’t have the base clicked in properly, or have put it in a spot that doesn’t allow enough width etc)

I've had great success with my Ecovacs T20 Omni. Ecovacs in general is at the top of the Vacuum Wars list again as well.

r/RobotVacuumsFor the love of God, is there objectively a good robovac choice?

Do you have pets? I told my parents what I would say to anyone without pets - if you’re in a relatively clean apartment - the obstacle avoidance isn’t a huge issue. It mainly comes into play when you have dog toys, kids charging cables, shoes and laces around - that it’s worth the extra money. I would have been content with the Omni T20 if I didnt have the kids and dogs. But it would tangle like crazy on cords and long hair. You can find a good enough map/vac for under $600. Just buy a couple year old flagship. Feel free to comment for more questions. I’ve owned like 10 robot vacs in the last 10 years and happy to discuss.

r/RobotVacuumsWhy is mapping so crappy on every model?

What model Roborock do you have? The thing with the robot mops is the best navigation and mapping are only on the high end flagships. The difference in a $500 and a $1,100 robot is vast. I will say the improvement between the Omni T20 and the Roborock Curv was an astronomical upgrade for hair tangle issues and running over cords and dog excrement (we rescue and foster, so I have more occassional messes).

I’ve admittedly never had a Roborock in the price range. I’ve had $1,000 Omni run dog waste all over the house multiple times. This Curv did it once and only once. Glad to hear the lower priced Roborock work so well!!

r/RobotVacuumsWhich model is best at obstacle avoidance and not tangling hair?

Watch Slickdeals and you will find some really good deals there. I got a Roborock Q Revo for $350 and a Ecovacs T20 for $199 and am extremely happy with both. They empty and auto mop/refill and their obstacle avoidance is excellent.

r/RobotVacuumsWhat would justify you spending top dollar on a robot?

I bought both a Roborock Q Revo and a Ecovacs T20 this year for $350 & $200 respectively and they work perfect. Even if I have to replace in 2 years I got them for a magnificent price both with self empty and mop cleaning/refilling. Besides that's on you for spending 1.5k+ on something and not adding an extra warranty.
