"the real game changers are the Omni-stations. ... You definitely want to buy one with a station, that can empty the dust bin, clean and dry the mopping pads. ... Having to only empty and refill the robot once a week, instead of daily was the hugest step in comfort for me personally."

"Starts when I leave home and when I return it docks and empties. ... I barely see it."

"I've got the Ecovacs Omni with the docking station and it's great. ... Docking station is a must in my opinion. Especially if you have a larger home. It's the difference between the whole house being vacuumed, and just the remainder of the capacity in the robot, which varies depending on when you emptied it last."

"the new one T50 has both side brush and mop, so definitely better at cleaning edges and corners."

"Spinning-pad mopping robots have an advantage over roller robots in one major area: they are typically better at edge and corner cleaning. ... as far as I've seen, the implementations do not (yet) get as close as good spinning-pad robots, especially in corners."

"Has full map and Lidar so barely gets caught."

"Ecovacs has the worst after sales of any company in any place of the world I have ever experienced. ... The company won’t take responsibility and goi around in circles. ... They wasted more than 6 months after talk to multiple people and site visits and it was escalated till the head of the after sales who I will name clearly: Tanmay Gangani, who is an absolute unprofessional and blatant liar with no sense of responsibility and ethics."

"Got it replaced and the cost was 8K. ... the replacement cost was again 8K. ... Their service is expensive. Even to just visit and check the issue they charge 1K."

"oh my GOSH their customer service was horrible. ... will avoid Ecovacs moving forward just because of their horrible customer service."

"the lower mounted lidar means it gets under a bit more furniture, but crucially, picks up a lot more obstacles!"

"it got stuck several times"

"It wanders around for 5 minutes or so but eventually gives up and says that it can’t find the station. ... I put it back on the floor that the station lives on, pick that map as the active one, and hit return to station and it returns no problem from there."

"The sensors stopped working after 2 years. ... A year later, the sensors again stopped working ... A friend of mine who bought the Deebot 1 year after me had the same issues with the sensors."

"I've had it a year and a half and have had to replace the brushes on it twice."

"The battery lasts way longer than the ecovacs omni"

"It was $1000 CAD and a software nightmare. ... the software made me want to throw my phone everytime I used it because I had to remap almost every time I changed floors even though it can apparently save 3 maps."

"The first thing to note is that the X9's mapping, in general, isn't as accurate as other robot vacuums, especially those with top-mounted LiDAR. It doesn't automatically divide rooms correctly, and it doesn't initially tell you where major obstacles are to help you draw virtual barriers. So, you really need to know what you're doing to set up the initial map. ... But the far bigger problem for me was that the first mapping run it did was inaccurate. It was skewed to one side and caused tons of navigation failures. It couldn't find the dock and, generally, it was an incomplete dumpster fire in terms of navigating around the house."

"When testing the T80, which has a very similar system to the X9, we encountered errors where it would just stop for no reason or get stuck in places it absolutely shouldn't. I couldn't find a reason for this other than buggy navigation."

Ugh I got the Deebot T50 omni and I do not like it. It does not mop as well as my Dream L10 or Roborock S7, and the roller keeps getting wrapped vacuuming which also didn't happen with those robots. Unfortunately I am boycotting amazon and bought off the Ecovacs site which requires I pay return shipping :-( And yes, I did a ton of research beforehand. I had to keep it under a certain amount so couldn't get the highest end, but thought this would at least be an improvement.

Just replaced my S7 Max V with the Ecovacs t50 Omni and I’m loving it so much more than the Roborock

My first vacuum was an ecovacs, I forgot the model though. It was working fine and I unfortunately replaced it with the Roborock s7maxv for the auto mop washing features, and have had tons of issues with it right around the 1 year mark. Now I’m back with the ecovacs t50 and couldn’t be happier

It started with the ecovacs t50 Omni and after the side brush stopped spinning returned it to ecovacs who I thought would simply repair it, but instead gifted me a ecovacs x9 pro

Roborock Qrevo 5AE is nice, be carefull with Roborock though, they have hundreds of variants, all with tiny differences. I've got an Ecovacs DeebotT50 omni, it's pretty similar to Roborock 5AE in features, but the lower mounted lidar means it gets under a bit more furniture, but crucially, picks up a lot more obstacles!

I've had it for a week now, I use it every day, and it hasn't gotten stuck yet. I previously tried an Ecovacs Omni T50, and it got stuck several times.

r/Dreame_TechWhich of these 4 robot vacuums is the best?

Great question — all four are solid options, but if **precise, straight-line navigation** and **smart edge cleaning** are your top priorities, here’s a quick breakdown based on real-world usage and reviews: # Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 – Best All-Around * **Straight-line pathing is excellent** thanks to improved AI + LiDAR + front obstacle camera. * **Edge mopping is actually intelligent** (mops extend and trace baseboards). * Very few complaints about zigzagging once mapping is complete. * 7,000Pa suction + mop lifting, self-cleaning dock, and fully automated. Here’s a product link with more details: 👉 [Dreame L10s Ultra Gen2](https://www.dreametech.com/products/l10s-ultra-gen-2-robot-vacuum?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=Reasonable-Cheek-214&utm_campaign=Recs) # Ecovacs T30C / T50 Omni * Great suction and dual mop arms (the T50 improves on the T30). * Pathing is solid, but **edge handling tends to be weaker** than Dreame or Roborock. * App experience isn’t as refined — sometimes gets confused with complex layouts. * T30C lacks some dock automation that the T50 has. # Roborock Q Revo Plus * Clean layout and UI, but **no AI obstacle detection** like the Dreame or Ecovacs models. * Does fine in open spaces, but might **zigzag around furniture** more. * Mops don’t retract — they only lift slightly. # ✅ Verdict: If you want top-tier navigation and the most “set it and forget it” automation, **go for the L10s Ultra Gen 2**. It nails precise movement and doesn’t get lost or spin in circles like older bots — and it’s often **more affordable** than Ecovacs' high-end models with better long-term reliability. Let me know if you want to compare carpet handling, obstacle detection, or app features!

Yes, I had a really unknown budget robot with no expectations till now but I want something beter. This one would fit under my low cabinets AND can most likely reach my thick carpet of +/-2.4 cm and clean it thoroughly. The only thing I don't like is the cleaning station. Because I have several floors, this doesn't add much value for me, and I'm a bit wary of water and electricity, especially since it gets hot inside AND I don't know if it's all that hygienic deep inside. Plus cost of the bags inside…Also there's the fairly high price, of course, but maybe with Black Friday... Because I read a lot of negative reviews about this brand and even about the robot itself, I wanted to check it out for myself. But compared to my current budget robot, it will definitely be an improvement.

Yes same here, I never had a cleaning station and don’t know much about it, I am pretty worried about the heating and electricity and water but i guess it must be okay cause I never really heard anything about this being a problem for this or another brand

I have the t50 plus and it’s awesome. The price was definitely worth it. Yes it’s expensive, but I have 2 GSD and it cleans up after them. It mops well,( need to teach the dogs not to walk on wet floors haha). I like that I can ask it to follow me and clean here or tell it to go clean the bedroom/ near the pet bowl/ or wherever else needs to be cleaned. I like that I don’t have to change it to mop as it’s built in. It also has a camera on it I can see toys under the table now without getting in the floor.

I don’t have either of these models but, I just bought the T50 Omni and it’s well picking up dog hair from 2x German shepherds and empties their hair from the vacuum into the dustbin. I would go with the T80, I’m guessing it’s the next model up from mine. The t50 has a built in assistant and if I’m busy I can just ask it to clean around the pet bowls ( my dogs drip water all over the floor when they drink), I don’t need to pick up my phone and open the app to get it to clean one area haha. It also has a camera so I can see what the dogs are doing when I’m not home.

At this 500 euro price range I think the best robot you can get is the [Ecovacs T50 Omni](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DSPVTBYH) (not an affiliate link)
