"I run it once a day, and mop a couple times a week. ... In fact, my wet/dry floor vacuum just died so its pulling even more work right now as it's the only real mop I now have, other than a Swiffer."
"My GOD am I glad I did. I had no idea how much I had been missing! ... We have 2 dogs and a cat, and live more rural. That means dirty paws folks, and a lot of them. The mopping and vacuuming has been no short of amazeballs. Not amazing. Amazeballs."
"The current champ of perfectly sparkling clean floors. ... Have 5 dogs tracking in dirt all day? Run this mop and go eat off the floor. That's how clean it is. ... Step aside spinny & vibration mops, this constantly clean roller mop is the champ. ... The mopping ability is light-years ahead of the Curv. ... The continously cleaning of fresh water is where is truly unique. ... You will be delighted and shocked on how amazing this E28 is. Its truly incomparable to any roborock. Get ready to start eating off your floors 😁😉"

"I have also had 0 hair wrap. Both my old Roomba and Shark id have to clean the rollers weekly."
"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. After 24 hours, I see 0 hair stuck. Not one. ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."
"I haven’t had any issues with tangles on the rollers ... Honestly, I think it’s doing really well considering I have long hair and shed a lot. ... The split roller on the E28 really works."

"I absolutely do not regret buying the robot vacuum. ... My room is a lot cleaner and dust-free now, and I can tell just by wiping my floor with a wet toilet paper and seeing barely anything picked up. ... I've been getting allergens a ton less, most of which not even in my room. ... All this for the commitment of a weekly emptying is miles more convenient than vacuuming traditionally, as opposed to making a few taps on my phone. ... looking back it was definitely worth the investment."
"I also have two giant long haired (nonshedding excessively) cats. I shed hair a LOT. Worse than the cats. It works so well."
"I found that it was even able to get up caked on Kitty vomit if I simply sprayed those areas with cleaning vinegar beforehand. ... I was pleasantly surprised."

"I hardly have issues with the dustbin getting stuck. ... In fact, I haven’t really needed to clean the dustbin inside the robot much; I mostly just change the dust bag at the dock."
"the real game changers are the Omni-stations. ... You definitely want to buy one with a station, that can empty the dust bin, clean and dry the mopping pads. ... Having to only empty and refill the robot once a week, instead of daily was the hugest step in comfort for me personally."
"it is REALLY nice having it be mostly* automated ... The vacuum dustbin auto empty and mop washing is so nice. ... It ’s set it and forget it"

"It took about an hour to set up and front and rear camera."
"the mobile app works well (and the wifi mode is super fast)"

"it is over-cautious with edges and corners, to the point that we occasionally have to sweep and mop manually under them."
"I just returned my S1 ... my thought was the extendo-arm for the sweeper and mop were not needed, they really work."
"But the X40 as a massive edge in corner cleaning"

"one mopping pad wouldn't raise, so it dragged it on the floor while traveling or cleaning carpet."

"it did mop the carpet"

"Doesn’t work for me. I have a husky so a bit of dog hair and it struggles. ... It goes around it as if it’s an obstruction. ... It then gets trapped in the roller. ... There’s no cutting mechanism so it blocks up quickly and the vacuum isn’t powerful enough to suck it into its storage area. ... I’m not talking about a big clunk of hair either."
"Oh yeah, the 30 day bin does not apply to shepherd and husky owners in any way shape or form!!"
"The claim of 30-days before emptying is BS, as that’s based on a non pet hair household. ... I auto run it 3 times a week and empty maybe 1-2 times a week."

"It gives up quickly and does not map well. ... For example, first time out, it was unable to leave the kitchen. ... So it mapped the kitchen and a space outside the kitchen that it could see was called a room. But it was only able to see 30% of the actual room. ... It did not update the map as the dreame would each run. ... Sent out for a remap. Got the center room and failed to get the hallway that did not have a threshold to cross, got 20% of another room it could't get in and didn't place a wall where there was a wall."
"The ecovacs has pretty bad obstacle avoidance too but this is mainly due to a lack of an LED fill light and poor firmware."
"Roborock and MOVA / dreame generally have better navigation and mapping than ecovacs."
We’ve had ecovacs t30 combo for six months, no issues so far
Streaks? My tiles are extremely hard to keep clean, most detergents leave streaks, glad to say this one doesn’t, we haven’t changed the mops yet either and I use the mop and vac function almost everyday, when I first bought it it used to leave drops of water behind, that hasn’t happened in a while though
I got the ecovacs t30 combo in may and honestly it’s the most important member of the household to me, it has what’s most impressive to me: spinning mops, hot water cleaning and auto empty, the app is easy to use and so is the voice command, I’d recommend it to anyone
We started with one iRobot, it worked great! Later decided on a brava (iRobot mop) and it worked amazingly! I was in my doctorate program and didn’t have time to clean the floors. We have two small dogs and five children. The floors are one thing I don’t have to worry about anymore. We recently moved and purchased two combo vacuum and mop, one is iRobot and the other is ecovacs. I like the ecovac more, it seems smarter, however they both do a great job. We have three stories so there are robot vacuum on each floor, they run every day, this keeps the stairs pretty clean and I vacuum the stairs once a week. Our original robot is eight years old and runs fine with daily use.
# [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). In this case, its the Q10 X5+, which is the least expensive RR model with auto empty. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1VV8DEM3PE45Q?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_ZETGMH20VCWTGQZB8K55)|399.99|199.99|50%| |[3i G10+ (Extra 5% off code: G10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/FVNUE2WZGPL6?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_2)|449.99|229.99|49%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20](https://amzn.to/4oi284o)|449.99|297.49|34%| |[Roborock Q10 X5+](https://amzn.to/4pDZjfb)|499.99|299.99|40%| # [Under $500](https://amzn.to/4o4MPMA) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* The [Eureka J15 Ultra](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eurekas-j15-pro-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review) is better than it should be. I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L40 Ultra is a great deal at half off, and I thought it did a great job getting into spaces, but wasn't great at mapping originally when[ I tested it](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-l40-ultra-robot-vacuum-review). But it was a damn good vacuum, and a pretttty ok mop. if you find that take disappointing, at this price point, you're still asking a lot of a robot, so set expectations appropriately. I mention the Ecovacs T30S for the same reason as the Eufy 3-in-1. Altho I found it a bit of a pain to put away attachments each time you wanted to use the handheld, I can see the advantage of having a combo unit instead of separate stick and robot. And, [in my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-t30s-combo-review), I did think both did a relatively good job, and the sale on this unit is hard to ignore. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* Get the X10 Pro Omni. it was the first Eufy in a while [I didn't hate](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-x10-pro-omni-review), it was actually pretty decent. Its a lot more decent at this price point. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* I liked the Qrevo line, altho I prefer the S8/Saros line for their mops. While the tech feels a little outdated to me, the S5V has a few little upgrades to the suction and the roller design that make it worthwhile at this price. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Eureka J15 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1E209CQWY09EI?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_6)|699.99|489.99|30%| |[Dreame L40 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1I876TQNP7R2I?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_4)|849.99|419.99|50%| |[Ecovacs T30S COMBO](https://amzn.to/4pxNCqa)|1199.99|449.99|63%| |[Roborock Qrevo S5V](https://amzn.to/48CuYYw)|899.99|499.99|44%| |[eufy X10 Pro Omni, black](https://amzn.to/4pTFKAp)|899.99|499.99|44%| # [Under $750](https://amzn.to/4nypaUV) At this price point, you are going to get some previous flagship, high end models that its reasonable to have high expectations of. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* the 3i P10 Ultra. For a machine that does everything this does, as well as it does? This is the actual steal at this price point. It feels like a new brand, but its not, remember 3i has been making everyone else's robots for years. I'm so impressed w this model line, and I'm not the only one. Google around. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* As a flagship, I thought the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni [could do better](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-review) with large debris, but overall, was still impressed. What sticks out to me is how good looking it was. But with the price dropped to $700, I'm comfortable recommending it. The extending roller mop was my first to try, and I thought it did a good job as it reached to the wall and under toekicks. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* I guess the S1 Pro? People in this sub love this model, [I did not](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-omni-s1-pro-robot-vacuum-review), but it wasn't the worst. ::shrug:: *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* This time last year, I thought the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra was the [best unit on the market](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-review). A year changes a lot, because there have been so many advancements, but do not mistake that this is still a spectacular vacuum. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[3i P10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: P10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/266IAZ1CMQ9SB?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_1)|1099.9|650|59%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro, Black](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1KPAGDZB7O3NR?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_B8MRYW3W9PVQCC6T59VF)|1499.99|699.99|53%| |[Ecovacs X9 PRO OMNI](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/2I911B3GQ74BQ?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_4)|1299.99|699.99|46%| |[roborock S8 MaxV Ultra](https://amzn.to/43QFGrG)|1899.99|749.99|58%| # [Under $900](https://amzn.to/4oad9oS) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* I talk about it so much that people here think I'm a paid shill (I'm not) but my dream machine is the [3i S10 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G). It has the largest sweeps I've seen, and eats the biggest debris I've seen in a robot, all without getting clogged. It's the best roller mop I've tried (I tried the narwal and the dreame). And.... it has onboard sanitizing and makes its own water so you never have to change out the dirty water or refill it. [Here was my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/3i-s10-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review). Now, that's the good stuff. It also weighs like 50 lbs. It looks like an exhibit at a kids science museum. Some people on here have said it smells mildewy (I haven't experienced that but it makes sense, it IS a dehumidifier, that's how it makes water). You can search for people's impressions and other reviews besides mine, but that's my #1 recco. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L50 Ultra has a noticeable discount, and has many of the charms [I admired in the X50](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-x50-ultra-robot-vacuum-review), like some threshold climbing, some major suction, and hot water cleaning. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* In this price bracket are both the Roborock Slim, the Qrevo and the CurvX. Here's why I ultimately say, go with the CurvX. With the retracting LIDAR, you're still getting a pretty slim robot (though, of course, not AS slim as the Slim), and for $50 more the Curv/Slim, get the CurvX, which has more suction, hot water washing, etc |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame L50 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_3)|1399.99|849.99|39%| |[Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48d8bm9)|1499.99|849.99|43%| |[3i S10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: S10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G)|1299.9|899.99|31%| # [Over $900](https://amzn.to/48OKBMY) This is where all the heavy hitters fell. My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. So what I DO recommend: The two models below are both excellent vacuums, mops and all around robots. They are highly comparable and while you could make yourself crazy comparing, stop. You'll be delighted with EITHER. I promise. These are great sale prices. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame X50 ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_1)|1699.99|999.99|41%| |[Roborock Saros 10R](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/3QN77VNVN022D?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_3GVYP91HJC73QH3A2XK1)|1599.99|999.99|34%| If you're looking for ALL the models on sale for Black Friday, they're [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p2d4qy). Hands down the best I've used. I've had an iHome, Roomba, Shark, and now Ecovacs robot vacuum. In Ecovacs I've had the T30S Combo Complete, T50, X9, and now the X11 Omni Cyclone. I can tell you Pros and Cons in my experience but since this is mainly about the X11, I can tell you that there are way more pros than cons. The only Con that I experienced is the robot would not recognize my black mats and and black rugs. However, this was eliminated as a con with a workaround that I've discovered to force the robot to recognize it. Simply removed the rugs and mats and remapped my home. Once the mapping was complete, I put the rugs and mats back down and now the robot doesn't skip them. Out if my experience, I can tell you the things that stand out to make the X11 my best choice. The mapping is the easiest out of all of them. I'm not sure why but it's very easy to quickly map and customize the map with the X11 even compared to the T series that I had. The dedicated solution dispensers is one of the best features. It has a dispenser for the regular solution and heavy duty solution. You simply put it in once and it will automatically dispense. I've had the X11 now for about a month and I use it every single day and sometimes multiple times per day and I have yet to have to put more solution into the dispensers. Unlike the T30S and T50, I had to put solution into the big clean water tank every single time I had to refill. The battery life of the X11 is great! I can set it to do a deep clean in every room and it still has enough power to do it all over again. The quietness if this unit is one that I absolutely love. I can actually run this unit at night even everyone is in bed and it will not disturb or wake anyone up. This was not possible with the T30S or T50. AI mode is top notch with learning your cleaning habits and setting the exact water flow amount for each floor type. It will also go over it again if it recognizes a spill or dirt on the roller mop. The bagless design. This is the key reason to get it because I had to replace bags like over other month and sometimes monthly. You can kiss those bags goodbye and have that extra money in your pocket. If you have pets or women in the house with shedding hair from brushing it or combing it, I can promise you, hair is absolutely no match for it. I've purposely put hair from brushes down on the floor just to see how this unit does and it hasn't failed me but once. The brush roller always looks good. You can actually set what room gets the heavy duty cleaning solution. I have this set for my main walkway, kitchen, and bathroom. I purchased it as a combo deal with getting both the X11 and Winbot W2 Pro Omni because I a able to get them both for a deal that I couldn't resist since it was already on sale, I had rewards points, I was able to get an upgrade credit, and there was an extra 5% off so it was a no brainer for me. It's well worth the money and you'll probably never think about manually vacuuming or mopping your floors again after the purchase.
So far, there are no issues with mopping. I've done things to optimize the mopping so I can have a full comparison to how the T30S and T50 performed. Things that I've done for mopping is set the heavy duty solution to be used in my heavy traffic areas. You want to also make sure you use deep clean or the AI hosted clean from time to time to get the best mopping out of the unit. With the roller mop, if you're using Quick or Standard, I've noticed that it rolls the pad on the surface but there's no pressure to it. Deep Clean and AI hosted mode, you definitely feel the pressure if you put your finger right under it while it's passing. Another thing to optimize the mopping is if see any stains that may be dried up on it floor is pretreat your floor with a ph neutral cleaner. For all of the floors I use an Enzyme cleaner by BioKleen called Bac-Out. It's an odor and stain neutralizer. I have a dedicated 16 ounce spray bottle that I'll just put 4 ounces of Bac-Out in with 12 ounces of water. I do a quick walk through to see if there are any areas that may appear to be stubborn. This came in handy when one day my floors were sticky and till this day I still do not know why they were so sticky but got could hear shoes swooshing and feet sticking. I did a quick mist of that over all of the flooring and put the robot to use. My floors were like new again. If you have tile and it has a hazing look to it, you can use Black Diamond Marble and Tile cleaner to restore the look of your tile. I have this in a 16 ounce bottle as well. 6 ounces of Black Diamond combined with 10 ounces of water. This is only meant for tile floors. I can guarantee if you keep these settings in mind and pretreat your floors whenever it's needed, you'll look at your robot totally different and as bad as I hate to admit it, it has made me lazy because if I try mopping or vacuuming behind it, there's literally nothing being picked up because the robot does a great job.
This is a solid question. You don't have to clean the dirty water tank every single time. However, in my honest opinion I would always empty it after and rinse it out if you do a deep clean and you're using a lot of water flow. How I utilize mine, I tend to have to do this to it everyday or every other day. As far as actually cleaning the tank with soap and water. I set up to do this once a month. You can align it with when you're set up empty or canister just to have a reminder. I make sure I monitor how the dirty water tank looks after every rinse. To control possible smells of it sits in the tank longer than a day when you have to empty it, you can put a cap full of any form of mouth wash in it to help with the smell. I do this every time I have to empty the tank which is why rinsing it is sufficient. You will not smell it even if it sat in the tank for an entire week if you can last that long without having to empty it because it's fully sealed. But the smell may hit you once you open the lid to pour it out.
I currently have the Ecovacs X11 Omni Cyclone which is there latest model. I've had a total of 4 models with them from the T30S Combo Complete, T50 Max Pro Omni, X9, and now the X11. All of these models have mopping pads or rollers. From my experience, the rollers are much better depending on your floors. My home is 3600 sq feet and the X11 covers it nicely with the ability to boost the charge up to about an extra 5% - 6% each thing l time it docks to clean the mopping pads to get an extra boost. The battery life so vary depending on how you set up the robot to clean. If I set up to vacuum only with it set to do a quick clean on standard suction, I would have about 70 - 75% battery after it's done. This would be a single pass. I've never tried it with Vacuum only for two passes. Regarding the quick charging in between times it returns to the station, it will not do a quick charge of you're only vacuuming. The quick charge is only activated if you're using the vacuum and mop mode or mop mode only. The quick charge is initiated when the vacuum returns to clean the mop pads. The lowest I've saw may battery get was to 25% with having it set to do a deep clean and water flow for the mopping roller at 50 which is the max. This was one pass with the vacuum suction set to the Strong and it's also set to ramp up on carpets to the maximum suction whenever it goes over rugs or carpet. I've tried a deep clean with 2 passes and vacuum set to Strong and water flow on 50. It will finish the first pass but the 2nd pass will only finish halfway and it would have to dock to charge for about an hour to finish as it will still get it's quick charge in between. This gives you an idea of what to expect if you decide to go with the X11. The best option for the deep clean is to use the AI hosted agent after the vacuum learns your cleaning habits, floor types, and routines. The AI hosted setting with set it to automatically adjust the water flow based on your floor types versus it being set to high or two low. I haven't tried it yet but I'm pretty confident that I could probably get two passes in deep clean using this setting. I've only done it for one pass only. Since you have such a large home with some serious square footage, I think this would be a great fit for you to cover all of it. Pros: Bagless design Two dedicated solution dispensers for the mopping (One for he regular standard solution and one for the heavy duty solution) Quick mapping (It took the robot about 7 minutes to fully map my entire home at 3600 sq ft) Quick Charging in between sessions when mopping is used Quiet (This comes in handy for me since I set it to run at night as well) Go along the floor to enhance cleaning and reduces possible unwanted noises Easy mapping Flexibility on customizing the room cleaning AI Cleaning based on your floors and cleaning habits Ecovacs rewards for simply using the device to use towards accessories. (I'm set $76 in rewards within 30 days) Quick calibration if you ever have to pick it up. (Out of all of the robot vacuums that I've used, the X11 is the only one that didn't go through a phase of no longer recognizing the mapping and having to remap when picking it up) Great obstacles avoidance Can be used in dark or well lit room Great at going over high thresholds Awesome stain detection especially if using AI mode Cons: Not super fast if you set the settings to go along the floor Not the best with dark colors like black or anything close to it (The robot cliff sensor may be triggered with the robot hesitating to go over large patches of Black but there's a workaround for this) So my con list is only two but technically it's one because the dark color issue has a workaround that's actually a solution. If you have black floor mats or rugs or anything close to it, pick all of them up and let it do the mapping first and then place them back down. The robot will be forced to recognize them because it recognizes it was able to go over that spot previously and you can set it up as a rug or floor mats. If you have picking them up isn't an option because they're too large or is carpet, there's another workaround but understand that mapping may take a bit longer. The workaround for rugs or carpets that are dark that triggers the cliff sensor is to simply map your home at night. Turn off all of the lights in the home and let it rely on is sensors, light, and camera to figure it out. Once this is done you can verify the map and test it out to make sure it recognizes the dark color mats or rugs. Hopefully this information helps to give you an idea of what to expect out of this unit.
I can you some real world feedback. I've had the X11 now for about 2 months and I faithfully use it everyday and sometimes 2 - 3 times per day. It's by far the best robot vacuum and mop combo that I've had. I've had the T30S Combo Complete, T50 Max Omni, X9 Omni, and now the X11. The mixed reviews that you see may honestly be valid reviews but it may also be user error as well. I wasn't impressed with the X11 until I started really digging into the settings. This is what can make it seem like it's not good at all. If you really want to see the benefits of the X11, users don't get familiar with all of the settings and set them accordingly. Mapping with this robot is quick and easy but there are a few things to consider that you may see mixed reviews on. When mapping with the X11, I recommend having obstacles picked up. If you have dark color rugs or mats pick them up as well. You want it to be well lit in your home. In these conditions mapping should be quick and the layout should be just right. If you do not have a well lit home, the next option is to do it completely in the dark with keeping what I've mentioned in mind by removing all obstacles and picking up dark color rugs or mats. Once the mapping is complete, put everything back where it goes. Now the key to this robot is the settings. With the mapping complete, set the floor type, boundaries, no mop zones, divide rooms, combine rooms, and anything else needed to complete the mapping. Put solution in the regular cleaning solution dispenser and heavy duty cleaning solution in that dispenser. If you go into the advanced settings of the station, you can set dedicated areas to use the heavy duty solution. I can't stress this enough but the magic is all in the settings. The robot settings, advanced settings, and station settings. Take your time exploring them. When everything is set and dialed in, this robot is amazing. When cleaning with this robot, you have several options. Quick Clean, Standard Clean, Deep Clean, Scenario Clean, and Agent Hosting clean. These cleanings are not the same at all. Quick clean will do a quick clean. I think of this setting as a broom and a rag. Standard clean will do just that. It does a few extra passes over quick clean. I think if this as a broom, dust pan and rag. Deep clean which is a much better setting that the quick and standard clean with basically 2 passes even if you set it to do one pass. I look at this as a broom, duster, microfiber rag, and a mop. This setting actually sets the mop to put down pressure to clean better which the Quick and Standard option doesn't put pressure down. Scenario clean is basically a combination of all of the cleaning settings mentioned above but you can tailor it to your needs by setting up the rooms you want done first, settings up the vacuum suction to be specific to each room, setting up the water flow for the mopping to be specific to each room. The benefits of this is you can tailor it to your needs and this is good to do on the go. I have about 8 different scenarios set. AI Agent Hosting in a nutshell is all of the cleanings combined in one. The benefits of this is it will give you the best clean and give recommendations on your cleaning habits and adjust itself accordingly. In my opinion, AI mode should not be used until you put at least 10 hours on the robot. This is because it goes by the cleaning logs, settings, habits, and all of the above. This setting is the best because it uses all of the sensors including the camera to detect stains even better. If you use this before cleaning habits are learned, it can take a very long time to clean. However, after your habits are learned, it will clean like a Scenario cleaning. AI mode detects stains better than any mode and it will go over it multiple times if needed versus what you actually set. If your water flow is too high, you'll know because this robot will show signs of liquid spills that the robot was cleaning up. Pro: Bagless Quiet (I use it late at night) Dedicated solution tanks Onboard light to clean in the dark Onboard camera Roller mop Great suction power Quick mapping (Keeping in mind what I mentioned) Easily goes over thresholds Great obstacle avoidance You get rewards just checking in and doing daily task that can go towards any Ecovacs purchase Cons: You may have to prep to map to ensure best mapping Slower than some robots (But it cleans better) Black rugs, mats, and carpet can be a challenge but the workarounds mentioned can be used to resolve this. Overall experience, I'm very satisfied with my investment.
You're very welcome. It will do pressured mopping in scenario clean as long as you have Deep Clean set for the scenario for those rooms. You can also set a Targeted zone cleaning and set it for Deep clean and the mop will do pressurized mopping. Scenario clean is indeed a custom mode which allows for you to customize exactly how you want to robot to clean each specific room. I have different scenarios that are set and even a scenario created by the AI mode. For the 2 - 3 rooms that will often require pressurized mopping, you can set the scenario for those rooms to do a deep clean and the others can be standard or even quick clean. One thing that I always do and highly recommend is to do a quick walk through of those 2 - 3 rooms to see if you see stains to know if you should pretreat or not. This became a habit for me since my T30S unit. It's not always necessary but it will optimize your clean. You can make your own pretreat spray which I've done in 16 ounce spray bottles that's PH neutral and safe for the robot. You can get the following: Biokleen Bac-Out Stain and Order remover This is an Enzyme cleaner that will loosen up stains that may be sticky or stuck on the floor without having to always use deep clean on your robot. This can be used on any floor type. 4 - 6 ounces of Bac-Out topped off with the rest water in a 16 ounce spray bottle will do you wonders. Naturally It's Clean Floor Cleaner Concentrate A $10 bottle of this goes a very long way and will probably last you for 2-3 years. This is another good Enzyme cleaner that's good for all flooring. 1 ounce of Naturally topped off with water in a 16 ounce spray bottle. Black Diamond Marble and Tile Cleaner Concentrate This cleaner is the go to cleaner for tile only. If you have a haze or dull looking tile, this will get rid of the haze and polish it up a bit. Remember, this is only for tile only and no other flooring. 4 - 6 ounces of Black Diamond topped off with water in a 16 ounce spray bottle. This will optimize your cleaning especially in the kitchen and high traffic areas. I recommend this for those 2 - 3 rooms if you feel you want to boost the cleaning efforts of the robot even more.
The X9 or X11 hands down takes the crown. I now have the X11 and it's a beast especially when you get it dialed in and use AI Hosting. It has dirt detection to detect dirt and stains and it will go over that area or spot again to ensure it's clean. The X11 has to solution dispenser. One for regular solution and the other for heavy duty solution. You can set defaults for which rooms will use the heavy duty solution. I have this setting set for my entryway and kitchen. I've used the following models, T30S Combo Complete, T50, X9, and now the X11. If I compare all of them there X series that I have used has the best features and functionality. I have porcelain tile floors in my entry way, kitchen, downstairs bathroom and dining room. The rest of the rooms are hardwood. I've noticed that the vacuum is super quiet compared to the T series and is much stronger on the suction power. I would sometimes have sticky residue on my floors but this no longer is the case. I used to make people take off their shoes before fully entering my home but this isn't an issue since my robot is used daily. It's great if you have women around who's hair sheds even brushing or combing and it's also great if you have pets. The added benefit officially the X11 Omni Cyclone is no more bags. With how much I use my robot to vacuum rugs which is daily and sometimes more, this actually comes in handy for me. I guess you can say I'm a clean freak but after floors are walked on, I immediately set up to clean it afterwards screen I know the traffic has ended. Another good thing to note is the X11's auto empty mode has a quiet setting so this comes in handy when I set it to do a quick clean at night to not disturb anyone when it empties.
I run my whole smart home primarily on smartthings, about 150 devices, so it can definitely work as a great platform. One of the problems though, is that any premium device type that Samsung makes (Washer, dryer, vacuum, tv) they always make the third party integrations either not function or be pretty much useless if it does. They want you to buy the Samsung stuff at a $$ premium. For a vacuum I use an ecovacs vacuum mop combo. It doesn't work with smartthings, but because my robot vacuum doesn't really need to interact with anything else, it's never been an issue. Highly recommend ecovacs, roborock, or eufy as brands.
T50 is on sale now, we have t30s combo and it does a good job
Yeah, more expensive ones might be better, but that doesn’t mean we all need to spend so much. I got my ecovacs t30s for around 500 bucks, and I use it to vacuum my rugs and mop the hardwood floors. I just do a few things after using it, like refilling the water tank, changing the dust bag every month or two.
I got an ecovacs t30 and it definitely did a good job on keeping my floor clean, no hair tangle issue so far. Imo auto emptying and auto mop washing is a must, and it's quite enough for daily cleaning routine. But if you have low furniture clearance, then ecovacs t50 pro might be a better alternative.
It’s mostly hardwood in my place, but about 60% of the floor is covered with rugs. I’m using a deebot t30s to handle the cleaning, and I hardly have issues with the dustbin getting stuck. In fact, I haven’t really needed to clean the dustbin inside the robot much; I mostly just change the dust bag at the dock.
Longtime Neato, Roomba, and Braava owner here. Tried smarter bots and found the Ecovacs Deebot T30S disappointing but am very happy with two Dreame X50 Ultra bots, one white and one black. My Roomba 980 and Neato XV Signature Pro are still good for turning loose in areas the new ones can't get to by themselves. Tried a new Roomba Combo to future-proof those areas but it was basically a downgrade. We wore out the little Braava 380t, but I haven't looked for parts because the Dreame bots do a much better job with much less effort from me.
In USA they seem to cover warranties without argument. I don't think much of the features or the quality, but Ecovacs did replace my Deebot T30S when the dock started leaking. The replacement is for sale now because I've moved on to Dreame, but I may try an Ecovacs window bot as they seem to have unique expertise in that area.
Read the reviews. The Dreame X50 has won awards and most of their lineup is highly regarded. I haven't tried the top-of-the-line Ecovacs but I had a midrange T30S and the Dreame X50 Ultra is so vastly superior I bought a second one to replace the Ecovacs.
I had a T30S which is a mid-range model so this is not a 1-to-1 comparison with the top-of-the-line Dreame X50 Ultra. I suspect T50 is also mid-range and that something like the Ecovacs X90 would be a better comparison. Having said that, I'll just say that the T30S drop sensors, optical encoders, climbing, navigation, mapping and app features are inferior to the X50 Ultra's. When the T30S dock sprung a leak, Ecovacs would not engage with me about a replacement part and just replaced the whole package — a leak and a swap being situation normal with any of these Chinese brands — so since I was going to lose the map anyway I decided to replace the replacement with a second Dreame X50 Ultra. Have not regretted it one bit.
I’d get the MOVA P10 pro ultra as MOVA/dreame’s obstacle avoidance is one of the best. It’s also a de facto flagship robot at the same price range as the other two which are mid range robots and will blow them out of the water. The roborock QX Revo only has structured light which isn’t very good for obstacle avoidance anyway. The ecovacs has pretty bad obstacle avoidance too but this is mainly due to a lack of an LED fill light and poor firmware. https://youtu.be/wbkEQ03wZEM When i run everyday to vacuum first then mop, the floors were noticeably cleaner and my wood floors had a sheen to them and felt softer over time. Much more barefoot friendly if you ask me.
Roborock and MOVA / dreame generally have better navigation and mapping than ecovacs. As for less maintenance, the MOVA P10 pro ultra has a self cleaning mop washboard which is the same as the L40 which generally moves most dirt and dust to the drainage area. Not a fan that the bottom isn’t completely removable like roborock so this is a flaw that can be a dealbreaker for you. https://youtu.be/QjUASR3DdIE
