ECOVACS - X8 Omni

Unfortunatley I agree. I had an issue with x8 Omni where it wasn’t emptying the dustbin, and the support agent didn’t give me a solution and blocked all path to escalate. I’m now back to the old machine that I was planning to replace

Roller mops hands down. Are there some screwed up roller mops? You bet! Eufy S1, E28 and E25 are great. So are the Ecovacs roller mops.

My s5 is running the upstairs.. X8 omni - is .. such a precious princess a bit of cobweb on the sensors and it starts running in circles - needs a lot of babysitting.. While the S5 just eats poop and continues running through everything - yeah I washed it and it still runs more reliable than x8 omni .. I wish I went with xiaomi :/ Yeah ecovacs it’a really great - until it isn’t - took me a month and now I can’t return it.. If it starts running in circles - you’ll know

Looking for a new robovac - already have ecovacs x8 omni (it’s shit), xiaomi s5 - works great.. Suron s10 or this? Obstacle avoidance I feel is #1 factor for me.. X8 keeps on getting stuck - you have to pull up all cables

Yep the S1 made me see that mopping had finally caught up, but I ended up going with the Deebot X8 Omni (Both using the roller) instead both are great but we needed a good vacuum too for carpets and the Deebot excels at it over the S1. it's so nice to come home to a vacuumed and wonderfully mopped home.

Hmmm. Next best would be Ecovacs X8 or X9 on sale, or Mova Z50.

Likely both would have been a solid choice (can‘t say about the downforce, but reviewers like vacuumwars never mentioned it). The Z50 has a wider (roller)/track, which is better than on the X8/X9, so probably the better choice, especially if the other guy says it has more downforce (+36C warm mop washing during cleaning)

What’s the feature you care about most? I think it really depends on that since there are so many options out there. For me, I need mopping function, so I went with the ecovacs x8 with the roller mop.

I agree with the other comments, it won't get into the grooves but it can definitely clean the tiles. With tiles like these, I suggest vacuuming first and then mopping so the dust in the grooves doesn't turn into a mess. I got the x8 from ecovacs and it's been working well for me, worth checking out.

I think it really depends on personal preference. I mainly cared about the mopping, so I got the deebot x8 earlier this year. Some people don’t like it, but it’s been pretty good for me. I usually run it about three times a week, more if I’ve got time. Way better than my old one that just spread the dirt around. This one uses fresh water, so it actually cleans and doesn’t leave marks.

My wife wasn't happy when I bought the deebot x8, but after using it for 2 months, she stopped complaining about it. Now she's the one turning it on all the time lol. I'd say just give it a try if it fits your budget.

I think checking out user reviews video might help you better to decide which robot to get. The deebot x8 I have at home, I also tried it out for a while after buying it, and it worked well, so I've just been using it ever since.

There are many solid vacuum+mop combo robots now, usually controlled in its app, might check bigger brands like Ecovacs or Roborock, they usually have long-term stability and support. I'm using a deebot x8, it picks up hair on carpets smoothly, and dirty marks can be removed well by its roller mop.

I've used the dustbin on the x8 for few days, at least I don’t have to clean it all the time. The roller mop is softer than a traditional hard bristle mop, so it’s less likely to scratch your tile floors, hope this helps and gives you some useful reference if you need it.

If there’s a lot of hair around, cleaning once a week maybe hard to cut it. I’ve got pets, so I usually end up doing a full vacuum and mop like two or three times a week. I use a roller mop (deebot x8), and honestly it can clean while you mop, which gives a really deep clean.

If you’re planning to use the robovac upstairs, you’ll probably need to bring the base station up too, most models have to return to it to wash the mop or empty the bin mid-clean. Mopping’s basically standard now anyway, so that’s no issue. There are quite a few budget-friendly options that mop well and deal with short hair easily. I think the deebot x8 I’m using works solid on that too. And it’s honestly pretty affordable. Overall, I’d just suggest going for something that vacuums well, can handle carpets, and make sure you’re okay moving the base upstairs when needed.

I feel like the earliest roller mop probably keep more of their original strengths. Imo, the Ecovacs X8 still seems like a practical choice. For basic cleaning, it hasn’t shown that kind of issue you mentioned so far. And if you can grab a good black friday discount, I think it’s a great deal.

I have Ecovacs N8 plus (aging, about to retire), N30 and X8 in two floors. Pretty happy with product and support network in Kochi. Their customer care is quick, whatsapp responses immediately and resolution are within a day itself. And they are served by Frootle, which got a shop+service center in Kakkanad. Overall, highly recommended
