ECOVACS - X8 Pro Omni

It's a shame the X8 totally misses the edges with its roller mop. Over time the edges of a mo[p]ped room will look noticeably dirty.

I like my ecovacs X8 pro. I like to vacuum first then mop. I have it set on schedule, let it clean while I’m out. My cat seems to love it too. Sometimes X8 finishes cleaning the carpet, she always messes it up again with her hair.

My place is around 2400 sqft and I'm using the deebot X8 Pro. I was a bit worried at first that it wouldn't mop all my place, but it's actually been working just fine.

TBH, from my own experience, robot vacuums can handle hair well, but you really gotta clean the brush regularly. If too much hair builds up, it just gets stuck easily. Doesn’t matter which model you buy, maintenance is super important. My house is covered in dog hair and my own hair, so that’s basically how my x8 pro omni is still going strong.

I got the x8 and I really like the roller mop. It keeps self-cleaning when mopping, it doesn't spread dirt or wet stains around, that's my favorite part. It also dries very fast and doesn't leave water streaks. So if you're looking for a good mopping performance, I think the roller mop is worth the shot.

I’ve got one I’m using right now, the x8 pro omni from ecovacs. Honestly, it’s solid and does everything I need for cleaning at home. I really like that it has a roller mop that cleans itself while mopping, so the floor doesn’t just get dirtier. The vacuuming and other features work well too.

I haven’t seen many good reviews of irobot here, and it doesn’t seem that many people use it. I use an ecovacs deebot myself, and if you’re not in a rush, the X8 pro omni might be worth a look. I’ve had it for a few months and it’s been really reliable so far.

I've used the dustbin on the x8 for few days, at least I don’t have to clean it all the time. The roller mop is softer than a traditional hard bristle mop, so it’s less likely to scratch your tile floors, hope this helps and gives you some useful reference if you need it.

If there’s a lot of hair around, cleaning once a week maybe hard to cut it. I’ve got pets, so I usually end up doing a full vacuum and mop like two or three times a week. I use a roller mop (deebot x8), and honestly it can clean while you mop, which gives a really deep clean.

If you’re planning to use the robovac upstairs, you’ll probably need to bring the base station up too, most models have to return to it to wash the mop or empty the bin mid-clean. Mopping’s basically standard now anyway, so that’s no issue. There are quite a few budget-friendly options that mop well and deal with short hair easily. I think the deebot x8 I’m using works solid on that too. And it’s honestly pretty affordable. Overall, I’d just suggest going for something that vacuums well, can handle carpets, and make sure you’re okay moving the base upstairs when needed.

Check out ecovacs x8 pro. Its roller mop seems to mop better than other spinning mop models. And It has strong suction power to pick up hairs.

Heya, fellow RTINGS employee not-Justin here; Hmm, in regards to the models on your short list, I'd say the Ecovacs X8 Pro is a very good all-rounder: we haven't published the full review for that model (yet), but it does offer a good blend of debris pickup performance on bare floors and rugs, great navigation, and a fantastic roller mop system. That said, real-time hazard avoidance performance isn't stellar. Since you don't have pets, its mediocre hair-cleaning performance shouldn't be a massive deal. As for your other questions: 1 & 2. We've only really run one roller-mop unit through our test bench (that being the aforementioned Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI), but I will say that we were extremely impressed with its stain-clearing performance. That said, it's hard for us to generalize the performance of this kind of design when we're working with such a limited sample size. After all, we've seen a lot of variability in performance for spin-mop models too: the best (Roborock Saros 10R) are very good at dealing with stains, while others, like the eufy X10 Pro Omni, really struggle. We haven't found *that* much to complain about in terms of maintenance in regards to spin mops either; most of the mid-range to high-end models we've tested have pretty effective auto-wash and dry functions though you'll still need to clean a washplate every now and then. 3. Across those price categories, the biggest differences you'll see are better obstacle detection and avoidance performance. Hardware-wise, you'll likely see structured light sensors being replaced by RGB color cameras, though that's not universal across the board. Unfortunately, actual debris pickup performance is more of a wash across different price categories. Docks can generally get a little nicer too: one of the more common features you'll see on higher-end docks is hot water jets for better mop pad cleaning, though I wouldn't say dock *reliability* increases with MSRP (not that that's something we test for).

Well, I like my deebot anyway. Maybe cause mine is a newer modle so works better. Me and my Maine Coon shed a lot (sometimes I’m not sure who sheds more). So I use my X8 Pro Omni twice every week to clean up our place, getting hair out of the carpets, picking up dust on the hardwood in the living room, and dealing with the bathroom tiles. There’s a lot of hair, so I find myself checking the brush pretty often. After almost two months of use, I haven’t seen serious tangles, just occasionally stray hair caught on the wheels.

Like you, I was torn between Roborock and Dreame. But I ended up choosing the Ecovacs X8 because I was really drawn to its roller mop, haha.

Honestly, without carpets, good mopping is a must. The cat hair in my place is next level, it's everywhere, floors, clothes, you name it. What I do is run my deebot x8 first to vacuum it all up, check if it's clean enough, then go in with the mop.

I got my ecovacs x8 mainly to get a deeper clean at home. Sometimes I even roll up the rugs so the robot can go over the whole floor. But it actually does a good job on the carpet too, since mine always gets covered in dust and pet hair. I guess it just depends on what you’re looking for.

I've been using deebot x8 for a while, it can move smoothly along the edges and barely leave streaks on my hard floors. I think it's a solid combo robot.

Honestly, the roller mop’s pretty awesome for cleaning hardwood floors. My deebot x8 is fit for daily cleaning, dust and stains are basically gone after one run.

I got an ecovacs x8 pro a few months ago and it's been great. Its anti-tangle bristle design is my favourite. I think n30 pro has a similar design, you can get it for around 460 when its on sale.

I have two vacs in HomeKit via Matter at present, the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, and the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni. Both offer a reasonable enough experience in Apple Home so far, although for both models, in terms of suction you only get minimum or maximum options - Min/Max for S8, Quick or Deep Clean for the Omni. I believe Switchbot’s models offer all four speeds, although the K10+ Pro didn’t have the relevant update at the time I had it (I gave it away). Of the two, I think the Roborock is better for a few reasons, but the Ecovacs does offer some features that may be more useful in some situations.

Some of you might have seen me on here making some personal recommendations in some of the posts in this Subreddit, but Prime Day is a great time to provide some insight on making a decision, since the market is currently overwhelming. **These recommendations are based on products we've bought and tested ourselves**, since we do not accept review or sample units from manufacturers. **I also wanted to disclose that we do make money from affiliate links and ads on our website**, so I will not be providing any links to our reviews. **First step** is to not panic. Figure out the needs of your space, your expectations, and your budget. Write them down and try to narrow it down to maximum 2-3 options. **General expectations** for all robots based on what I've seen and my personal opinion/experience: * **They will not replace your regular vacuum and mop for deep cleaning**, but they will extend the time between your deep cleanings. * **Obstacle avoidance is not that big of a deal if you don't have kids or pets.** Tidy up loose objects on the floor, tuck away cables, and set no-go zones, and you'll usually be good to go. * **You likely don't need to run it everywhere, every day.** Consider your needs and strategize. Use manual configurations, schedules, and spot cleanings over the built-in AI systems to tailor it to your needs. * **They usually always get hair stuck somewhere, especially long hair.** I have yet to meet a robot that has not gotten hair stuck with our standard 2.5g of long hair. That being said, some are better at it than others. * **The maintenance for the mops/water tanks is very frequent**, but saves more time overall. In my opinions, there are bound to be quality issues. If you see something wrong, exchange it or go with an older model that has proven reliability. * **Sales will come back. Often. Black friday is right around the corner.** Don't impulse buy just cause of a big sales event. **Dreame L10s Ultra/Pro Ultra ($299 USD/$479 CAD - $399USD/$499CAD) - Best Introduction Robot for Small Spaces** with mostly hard floor. * Decent hard floor performance, fully featured dock, great obstacle avoidance, decent mopping, upgradeable for carpets with the Tri-Cut Brush. * Mid battery-life, cold water and cold air drying (pro version adds heat), have seen complaints of poor customer service from Dreame. Uncertain about long term reliability. * At this price, you really can't go wrong if you just want something to help with day to day cleaning. **Roborock Qrevo Series ($399 USD/$549 CAD)** \- **Best Budget for hard floors** * Great hard floor pickup and navigation. Mid-on carpets. Bad at removing pet hair from carpets. * Awful obstacle avoidance. Decent Mopping * Roborock seems to have a better reputation for reliability. (Based on comments in this Subreddit) **Roborock S8 Max V ($1099USD/$1199CAD)** \- **Best For Carpet and Pet Hair** * Good all around pickup, excels on carpet thanks to its dual rollers. Okay, at removing pet hair from carpets. * Okay obstacle avoidance on hard floor, bad on carpet. * Excellent mopping. * Unsure of Ecovacs reliability and app experience, as I've seen complaints on this Subreddit before. * Currently borrowing this model, and I'm really impressed with it. I have not experienced any dock leaking, but this is something that I've seen brought up for other roller mop models. **Roborock Saros 10R ($1199USD) - Best overall for most people** * Excellent hard floor cleaning. Decent carpet cleaning. Struggles with pet hair on carpet. Good for mopping. * Excellent hard floor obstacle avoidance, bad carpet obstacle avoidance. * Excellent maneuverability. Slim body allows it to get underneath furniture as low as 3.1" (8 cm). Can also climb thresholds up to 1.5" (3.8cm) in our tests. * Not available in Canada. **Popular Models I'd avoid, but doesn't mean they wouldn't be the best option for you:** * **Dreame X50 Ultra:** It's dual rollers struggle with hard floor pickup more than the dual rollers on the S8 Max V. I also borrowed it for a month to test it in my home, and it would leave clumps of debris everywhere, especially near thresholds. This is based on our testing and my subjective opinion, but it was a miss for me. * **Dreame L40 Ultra:** Controversial, I know, but I was also underwhelmed with its hard floor pickup performance, especially with finer debris. It's decent for carpet, though, and might perform better with the Tri-cut brush. It also scored worse in obstacle avoidance than the Dreame L10s Ultra, which is bizarre since it released 2 years after it. This is another model I borrowed, and was not satisfied with it's cleaning performance in my mostly hard floor apartment. * **Eufy x10 Pro Omni:** It was one of the vacuums I had the most trouble testing due to navigation issues and app issues. Its pickup performance was also pretty poor on carpet, and just okay on hard floor. * **Dyson VisNav 360:** Great potential, but flawed execution and use of old tech make it a bad purchase in my opinion. This thing packed a punch and was excellent at picking up stuff it went over, but the problem was it would frequently miss areas and get lost/confused. * **Shark robot vacuums:** Some of them are good for pickup, but their built quality, navigation issues, and bare-bones app makes question their value. Honorable mentions: * **MOVA P10 Pro:** Best obstacle avoidance in our test out of every single model. Good hard floor pickup, mid carpet pickup, okay mopping. Comments in this Subreddit have mentioned MOVA's manufacturing quality and customer service are question. Until it's clear that they won't be closing their doors, best save yourself the hassle of buying a robot that may lose support and service options. * **Shark robot vacuums:** Some of them are good for pickup, but their built quality, navigation issues, and bare-bones app makes question their value. * **bObsweep robot vacuums:** Extremely overinflated MSRPs to make it seem like it's a great deal, however they are usually always on sale for a drastically lower price. The app is also very bare bones. * Previously I had the **Dreame L40 and X50**, and while I still personally think they should be avoided, I've had colleagues say that those models worked really well for them. It's possible we got out of spec units for testing, which furthered my concerns about the state of the quality of the market. If you want a roller mop, then the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni. If not, the S8 MaxV Ultra is among the best for carpet. There's also the Qrevo Slim which I haven't tested, but has a similar brush roller style, slightly newer obstacle avoidance system, spinning mop pads and is the same price.

For pet hair, the S8 MaxV Ultra would be the best bet. You can also get the version with the drainage kit so you don't have to manually fill and empty the water tanks.

I'm actually curious about this too and will try and investigate this in the new year. The Eufy S1 and the Eufy E28 did about the same as spinning mop pads. The Ecovacs X8 did amazing, but took 3 times longer than the standard to mop the area due to its stain detection feature. We only test with a tomato sauce stain right now, but a new developing a new mopping test is on our radar. Realistically, I've found that pathing and stain detection features play a big role in how well something mops, and in most cases, unless you have a highly stained floor most robots will do a decent to good job. I haven't tested the L50, but I have tested the similar X50, and it got a 6/10 for our pet hair on low pile carpet test. The Ecovacs X8 and Qrevo Curv also got 6/10 (haven't tested the Curv X). In most cases, pet hair on hard floor is easy for any vacuum to pickup, but most of them still get hair stuck even if they have "anti-tangle" features. My best advice for reviews is watch the actual performance of the vacuum if available and don't look at the score, including ours. Make you on conclusions based on what you see, and try to see if it matches your situation. As much as us reviewers try our best to find the best pick, ultimately it's close to impossible to recreate all possible outcomes of the real world, which is why it's important to consider multiple opinions when purchasing. Based on what I can see from your needs, what's available in Canada, from the robots I've tested, the Roborock S8 Max V Ultra or The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni, will likely be your best bet. From the ones we've tested and that are still available, the S8 Max V Ultra ($899 at bestbuy) would be the best bet for high pile carpet and pet hair. It does have mopping though, and there is a non mopping robot called the Q8 Max that vacuum only and borrows certain parts from it. I haven't tested it, but I have tested the Q5 Pro+ which is a similar robot and has the same brush rollers as it. The Q8 doesn't seem to have great obstacle avoidance, so that's something to keep in mind. It's available on Amazon in white only for $169.99. There's also the Qrevo Slim, which is slightly cheaper than the S8 max V that does have obstacle avoidance, but it does have mop which you can just remove. I haven't tested it, but it borrows parts from the S8 Max V so the performance is likely to be the same. Hope this helps!

The S8 MaxV Ultra is the best for pet hair on carpet and does a good job on hard floor, and you can find it at Best Buy. For something a little cheaper, the Qrevo Slim is also a good option. If you have a smaller budget, the L10s Pro Ultra with the Tri-Cut should do a decent job as well. Hope this helps!

The Saros 10R is excellent for hard floor (9.5), just okay for high pile (7/10) and low pile (6.5) carpet, and bad for pet hair on carpet (5/10). The S8 Max V is more balanced with great hard floor pickup (8/10) and pet hair on carpet pickup (8/10), and good high pile (7.5/10) and low pile (7.5/10) pickup performance. The Saros 10R beats the S8 in mopping and obstacle avoidance. The Qrevo Slim is kind of an in-between of the Saros 10R, with the same mopping system and an earlier version of the more advanced navigation and obstacle avoidance system. It also has the same brush rollers as the S8 Max V, so it's carpet pickup and hard floor pickup would be expected to be the same. The main issue with the 10R for you would be the pet hair, since it tended to get caught in the bristles of the brush roller and get spread around our test carpet.

The Q7 Max+ is an older model with an all rubber brush roller. The Q7 M5+ is a newer model with a rubber and bristle brush. If you have carpets, the bristles can help agitate and lift debris out of it, but they tend to get dirty with pet hair if that's a concern. The Q8 Max+ has all rubber dual rollers, which is better for carpets and pet hair on carpet. The Q10 X5+ seems to be similar to the Q7 M5+, but adds a carpet sensor, a basic obstacle avoidance system, and a better mop with lifting capabilities. If carpets and pet hair are a concern, I'd go with the Q8 Max+. If it's just hard floor with no mopping, the Q7 M5+ would be the best value. If you want a bagless, the AI Ultra does an okay job on hard floor (7/10), but I personally would not get it. Hope this helps!

In our testing, the Freo X Ultra (Similar to the pro) got 7.5/10 on hard floor pickup, and the Qrevo got 8.5/10. The Qrevo also did better for mopping and carpet debris pickup. Both were bad at pet hair on carpet, and both got hair tangled in their brush rollers, and both allow you to easily remove the hair. Both are bad for obstacle avoidance, so you'll have to tidy loose cables and socks before running them. The Freo has a debris compression feature and does not have an auto empty dock like the Qrevo. We tested this and found that their claim of 7 weeks was a bit off, as we ran it at a testers home with two cats and found it lost suction around the 25-day mark (of running it every day). If you're looking at the N30, might be best to go with the newer T50 Omni, as they are the same price right now (I'm in Quebec so it might be different for you). I haven't tested either, but we have tested the X8 Pro omni, which has the same brush roller so they should perform the same (8/10 on hardfloor). It did a little better with pet hair on carpet than the Narwal and the Roborock. From what I've seen on this Subreddit, Roborocks do tend to be more reliable over time, but since we don't test longevity, I can only go based on user commentary. From my experience of testing both robots, the Freo had so many bugs at the time, and the app was far less feature rich and stable than Roborocks. However, this was back in mid 2024, so it's possible those issues have been ironed out. Boxing Day sales usually start the same week as Christmas, so maybe hold off for those to see if a better vacuum goes down in price, like the QX Revo Arc (Qrevo Curv rebranded) or the Ecovas X8 Pro Omni. We just tested the Ecovacs X8 pro omni, and it was actually pretty good on low pile carpet, and okay on high pile. It was also the best mopping robot we've seen so far (It mopped for 3 times longer than other robots, but still impressive). Its obstacle avoidance was just okay, but better than the S8 Pro Ultra. Glad to hear we've been helpful for you with other product, and it's my pleasure! :) One thing to note about our robot vacuum scores is that they were initially created when vacuums and robot vacuums were the same product category. This is why they score more in the yellows/reds than other product categories. We've split them into two separate product categories late last year, but we still have a lot of work to do on both ends when it comes to making them their own. A great example is TVs. It was our first product category and has come a LONG way since 2013, so we're hoping to get there with robot vacuums (and others) as well with future test bench updates. I'll pass along your feedback, and scoring/testing area was already on our radar so it definitely helps us know that we're on the right path for future updates. Robot vacuums are really intended for maintenance, but some of them are starting to get close to traditional vacuums and mops. One thing to consider is that we push robots to their absolute limits in our pickup test with the robots in their default settings, and we evaluate them on after only one cycle in a tiny space (If you want more info as to why, let me know!). Usually, lower scoring means more cycles required to tackle large messes, but if you run it frequently, most robots should get the job done and will push back the need for a manual deep clean. Best way to use our results/photos is to look at whether a robot struggles a lot with specific types of debris like sand in its first pass. For example, the Dreame X50 [struggles a lot with smaller debris](https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/2zg0DmvJ/dreame-x50-ultra/hardfloor-large.jpg?format=auto) on hard floor, still left some behind[ after a second pass](https://www.rtings.com/assets/pages/f8Pinx7O/hardfloor-pass6-large.jpg?format=auto), whereas the X8 did well with all debris types but [missed some areas on its first pass](https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/072liubI/ecovacs-deebot-x8-pro-omni/hardfloor-large.jpg?format=auto). If you anticipate having a lot of smaller debris (dirt) on your floor, the x50 wouldn't be the way to go, and you could cross it off in your research. It's hard to tell if that is what other users will experience IRL because we have hundreds of devices connected to our Wi-Fi, which could cause interference. Roborocks fair better in our testing when it comes to software and app reliability, so that's something to keep in mind. I do agree that this new generation of robot vac/mopping combos are definitely still in their early adopter phase, and there's not one robot that I could with absolute certainty say would be the best for everyone. However, based on our testing, I think anything that has a high yellow and green should get the job done in most cases. Hope this helps! I know this is a lot of info, but let me know if you have more questions, and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. **TL;DR:** Our current scores are based on a test bench created for both traditional vac and robot vacs, so we're looking into changing it in the future. Lower scores usually mean more passes needed, more frequently manual deep cleaning needed, or that the robot struggles with a specific type of debris/can't reach certain areas. The best robot for you might not be the best scoring one that we recommend. Robots are still in early adopter phase, but most decently scoring robots will be good for general day to day maintenance, but you'll still need to deep clean.

Based on those options, yeah, I would say the X8 Pro Omni should suit your needs. Just keep in mind it doesn't great obstacle avoidance, and that it has a lot of parts that need maintaining. If you experience any navigation/mapping issues like we did, I'd contact Ecovacs or look into replacing it with a Roborock, but of the ones I've seen on Amazon UK, none really beat the X8 in mopping and low pile carpet pickup performance. The Eufy S1 Pro is a decent robot. I didn't love testing it because I encountered some bugs and navigation issues, but that doesn't always translate to real life situations. It's good at mopping and should get the job done if you run it frequently, but it does struggle in corners (most mopping robots do). If you have a heavy stain, just run a spot clean in that area with 2 or 3 cycles, and it should get rid of it without much intervention from you. Just keep in mind the more you run the vacuum, the more you'll have to maintain the parts and the dock. It's also bad at low-pile carpets and okay at high pile, so if you add some in the future that would be something to keep in mind. If it's a really larger surface, I'd take battery life into consideration too, and the Eufy S1 pro is currently our best scoring in battery so it might be a good choice for you! To set proper expectations, you will still need to do a deep clean every once in a while with basically any robot vacuum available on the market now. That being said, I have an older S8 Pro Ultra at home, and while it didn't score that high on our mop test, I usually come home to shiny floor (hard wood) when I run it. I usually only have to spot clean with my cordless vacuum once a week for corners, and I don't remember the last time I mopped haha (I handwash the corners every few weeks though, which takes like 10-15 minutes in my small apartment). Quick recap: OP asked if there was a potential defect with the battery, if spinning mop pads were enough for hard floors and if there was a loss of cleaning quality, and then for recs. I said it might be because 40 minutes of run time seemed too low for a new flagship. I mentioned that while spinning mop pads can sometimes worse, the roller mops are still new tech and The eufy S1 Pro actually did worse than the Roborock 10r in our test. Also, in my opinion, there's bound to be manufacturing issues for products that are being pushed out so quickly with a brand-new technology. I also mentioned that spinning mop pads have been the standard for the last two years and people were happy with them. I mentioned that the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni is currently the best we've tested for mopping, and that both the Saros 10r and X8 have solid battery lives. Finally, Op asked if there were really problems with customer service for the brands based, and I just mention that I see complaints for all brands, including iRobot and Dyson. The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni is great for debris pickup and moping on hard floors. Its main drawbacks are it's mid-obstacle avoidance, carpet pickup, and it's tall so it can't fit under a lot of furniture, but it's at $999 with some replacement accessories, which I find is a great value. I haven't tested every model they have, but for a more budget option the Roborock QX Qrevo is also great for vacuum, has decent mopping, but its obstacle avoidance is quite awful. Roborock is better known for its reliability, but I find that the more recent robot vacuums aren't really built to last more than 3–5 years. The quality assurance has been a mixed bag from pretty much all the brands out there right now, from what I've seen in a lot of the post on here. That being said, Costco's return policy is pretty excellent if you're unhappy with it.

Been using the Ecovacs X8 Pro for a while now. We've got mostly hardwood floors, so I always use it to mop, especially when I walked my dog back. It uses roller mop, let it clean the wet paw print at least easier than do it with my mop pad.

Haven’t tried the Saros, but I’ve had the ecovacs X8 pro for a few months now and it’s been doing well so far.

I have an ecovacs x8 pro omni and I’ve been using it for a few months. Most of my place has hard floors, so I run the mop almost every day. The roller mop does a good job, and I haven’t noticed it smearing dirt or leaving small spills behind.

I don’t think roller mops can fully replace floor washers. I have a deebot x8 pro with the roller mop and it cleans better than other mop styles I’ve tried. But when I spill something small, my first reaction is still to grab a mop instead of turning on the robovac right away. Both come in handy for me.

I live in apartment and mostly oak wood floor, and I use ecovacs X8 pro robot vacuum to mop. I chose it cuz the mop design is similar to floor washer, uses roller mop, and the mop wash itself while running to lift and remove dirt from the floor.

If you plan to get some rugs, I’d recommend ecovacs x8 pro. It has no problem picking up my cat’s hair and works well both on the hardwood floor and carpets at my place.

Got an ecovacs x8 pro a few days ago. I use it twice or three times a week to keep my floor clean. It really does a great job. And I haven't came across any problems they've mentioned before.

I bought a ecovacs x8 pro for my parents. My mom was not willing to use at first, cause she said she didn’t like the app. I set everything up for her, and showed her how to use the voice control, then she finally decided to give it a try and now she’s used to it. Last week at dinner, she even mentioned it cleans well. I think you could choose one with voice control, might be easier for them to use.

Don't know much about robotrock. I'm using ecovacs x8 pro and it does a great job on hardwood floor in my house. The ecovacs app works fine for me. If you're worried about wetting your floor too much, just lower the water flow rate.

For spit up stains, I would say def go with a self-cleaning roller mop type, you wouldn't want the spinning mop to spread everything around. I have ecovacs x8 and it works fine. But I would raise the water flow rate for dried stains. I heard x9 will be available soon, it can auto lift the brushes and mop. Eufy e25 and e28 is also highly recommended, maybe wait for those latest models.

Ecovacs x8 works for me. I like how the mop cleans itself while mopping. I moved my chairs and picked things up for it when it mapped, but sometimes I leave things where they are on regular daily cleaning, no bumping issues.
