"All the parts that will have tangled hair (like rollers, empty bin, rotating brushes, and wheels) are extremely easy to remove and clean, almost with no tools needed. I literally take only ten minutes to remove every dog hair inside the system."
"We have three kids, two dogs, and a cat that sheds more than both dogs combined, and having robot vacuums has been a game changer. ... But the robot keeps the main areas of the house from getting hairballs and dirty."
"I've had my roomba for like 5 years now.. We have 3 big dogs and a cat, in a small house. Still works great, I've replaced the brushes and obviously the filters on it but it still works awesome."

"Literally a tank. ... Ran it three times a week for over three years. ... Over 1000 hours and 300,000 sqft of cleaned area. ... Replaced the battery for $50 and was still running fine "
"I upgraded to a roomba with the self emptying thing and I love it."

"Honestly hardware reliability is the only thing Roomba has going for them. ... I've owned numerous robot vacuums and every single one has failed after about a year except for this POS Roomba i3 that I literally HATE lol. ... I've frisbeed that POS across the room so many times and it just keeps running ... even the bearing on the end of the roller seized up and melted and I just ignore it and it keeps chugging along not knowing where it is half the time."
"I bought one well over a year ago possibly on year 2. ... If it only lasted a year I’d buy another one. ... It works as well as it did when I bought it."

"Now we have two good ones (iRobot) with the bin that they self empty into when they get full. ... Before we got the one with the bins, it would get full and need emptying before it finished a whole cycle. Now it goes and empties itself and then goes back to cleaning."

"Not as convenient as you would think, it works better if you move ottoman’s and small tables out of the way first, so you kind of have to prepare to run it."

I have the iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO (3550). It doesn't have the mopping feature. But I love that I can schedule it to run at night, after everyone is in bed. Part of our bedtime routine is going around & picking up toys, socks, sippy cups, etc. so that Ruthie (that's what my kids named her) can get to work. I really want to upgrade to one with a mop, if people think it's worth it.
I just ordered my mom the Eufy Omni E28. She’s has cats and a lot of flooring. I gave her my Roomba i3 evo as an upgrade from hers. I wanted to get her the newer models but found out Roomba may go out of business until I saw Eufy E28. It looks promising
And that sux! They are too expensive ..ordered the flow hoping it gets better in the corners and vacuums better..and guess I'm spoiled old roombas that are like tanks and last a long rime..has 3 yr warranty and comes with some stuff..I would think of it came to Costco it would be about the same.. but surprised doesn't have soap dispensary.. but does have a bigger battery so hoping 🤞🤞.. weirdly I cried giving up the 3i but it kept getting stuck in places I don't have problems with the others..😪
I have a 4-year-old iRobot Roomba i3 with the self-emptying bin and it has been one of my better purchases. Every few days it is a little bit dumb, getting stuck under chairs or on my ergonomic mat, and it's not terribly fast, but neither is it terribly slow. It runs for a couple of hours a day, spread throughout, with different rooms at different times. Like all vacuums, it does require maintenance. I pull hair out of the rollers every couple weeks, change the filter once a month, and wipe the dust bin sensors a few times a year. But honestly, the amount of cat fur and litter pellets that it picks up is just terrific. I don't notice how much it does until it doesn't run for a few days. My cats have noticeably fewer hairballs too, surprisingly. If you have never considered cleaning the rollers on your current vacuum, then you probably will be disappointed by a robot vacuum. Also I recommend Roborock. Much better mapping, and in general fewer bugs. iRobot has been fine for me, but I won't be buying another.
It works well, my dog is afraid of it so it’s hard to find a time when I can run it unless I’m at the dog park but on a schedule never works out. Don’t forget to pick up your cell phone charger cables as they can damage the rollers. Not as convenient as you would think, it works better if you move ottoman’s and small tables out of the way first, so you kind of have to prepare to run it. It does clean well overall though! Roomba I3 plus
I have a Roomba i3+, and what you described with it leaving the base and returning means the charging contacts are dirty. Either on the base station or Roomba, or both. Also, if it's escaping and falling down stairs, the sensors are dirty.
I have a Roomba i3+, but a change in layout has confused it beyond belief. Any vac only with self empty with decent mapping/ navigation (such as not banging itself into the wall for 40 minutes)?
Our irobot i3+ lasted 25 months. Wasn't great when it worked either tbh
J9+ Combo is on Amazon for $800 right now 46% off! Great choice though many mixed reviews. The Combo Max 10 is on Amazon for $800 but I’d choose the J9+ Combo because self cleaning bases don’t actually “wash” the pads. The j9’s brown design is better than the all black in my option and the j9 has a wood top to put small plant on top for design. The j9 you can just quickly remove the pad and put in the washer I have an i3+ and Brava m6 that I’ve had for 4 years now and always worked well but I’m thinking of upgrading to a combo j9+
I have a i3 for 4 years now paired with an m6. I do want to upgrade though but honestly I just put an XL battery from Amazon in it and now the i3 vacuums the whole house without recharging (1,400sqft). I have one pet so this is doable for the moment. Twice a month I’ll use my cordless vacuum and it picks up a bit so the i3 does a great job for my situation Try returning your 105. Keel the i5. Save some money and just buy a bigger battery and see if that works still.
iRobot i3+. Literally a tank. Ran it three times a week for over three years. Over 1000 hours and 300,000 sqft of cleaned area. Replaced the battery for $50 and was still running fine… until it ate poop. Twice. Finally decided it was time to upgrade to a S1 Pro. Might clean up the i3 and retire it to garage duty.
