"I've had my roomba for like 5 years now.. We have 3 big dogs and a cat, in a small house. Still works great, I've replaced the brushes and obviously the filters on it but it still works awesome."
"We have three kids, two dogs, and a cat that sheds more than both dogs combined, and having robot vacuums has been a game changer. ... But the robot keeps the main areas of the house from getting hairballs and dirty."
"We’ve used a self emptying Roomba for years. ... one pass on the floor and the internal bin will fill with fur and dust. ... 3 dogs, a Basset, a Lab, and a Terrier. All are moderate shedders and fur accumulation is a problem."

"I upgraded to a roomba with the self emptying thing and I love it."
"my roomba with self-emptying base is a - and I cannot stress this enough - fucking lifesaver. ... I owned one without the self-emptying base thing and I never used it because emptying it every time it was full was a barrier I wouldn’t get past. Getting the base where the roomba empties itself is a GAME CHANGER."
"Now we have two good ones (iRobot) with the bin that they self empty into when they get full. ... Before we got the one with the bins, it would get full and need emptying before it finished a whole cycle. Now it goes and empties itself and then goes back to cleaning."

"It's great on hard floors"
"I have three cats, have hardwood and carpet and the roomba is literally one of the only reasons my floors look even remotely clean."

"I bought one well over a year ago possibly on year 2. ... If it only lasted a year I’d buy another one. ... It works as well as it did when I bought it."

"It's great on hard floors but doesn't do much on our living room area rug. ... the fur and cardboard bits from their scratchers are always left behind on the rug after vacuuming."
There was nothing of value in this video guy gave a zero review he literally just bad mouthing it barely even taking it out of the box. Once he set it to map it did exactly what it was supposed to do while he was bad mouthing it.
r/RobotVacuums • Why shouldn’t I buy a Roomba? ->Roomba 105 said “docking? never heard of her.” If nav + no-go zones matter, go Roborock Q5 for laser brain, pet-hair beast. Shark Matrix is better than old Shark, but still a bit lost sometimes. Just pick the smart one.
r/RobotVacuums • Affordable lidar vac that docks on carpet? ->5 months ago I got a Roomba 105 for hardwood floors and would absolutely NOT RECCOMEND. I would rather sell both kidneys than buy another. I would rather sell my body for science, before I'm dead, than use this thing. Nothing I try to do with this thing is easy. Simple tasks like connecting to WiFi is an all-day affair. It's not even half-baked, and should have never been brought to market. Last week I got an Eufy Omni S1 Pro, for mostly carpet and a little bit of tile. Compared to the Roomba it's like night and day. Ok, the Roomba 105 is a low-end unit and the Omni S1 Pro is a top of the line unit. Even taking that into account the Eufy is so much better. The software and app are, umm, usable! I haven't ran into a single issue with the Omni S1 Pro. It even properly mops the plastic mat under my desk chair. Looking at what the Omni S1 Pro leaves in the vacuum bag... It does pick up a good amount from my carpet! Not as much as my Bissel upright manual vacuum or my Samsung cordless stick vacuum, but enough where I'm now concerned that I'm going to need to replace the vacuum bag after 8 "vacuum the whole floor" cycles. Ok, well, I'm off to order more bags...
r/RobotVacuums • which best robot vacuum is the most efficient for your home ->I just got a Roomba 105. The app works 1000x better than my old ecovacs. it's a bit louder, but the app is less frustrating that's a win for only $179 I'm happy.
r/RobotVacuums • Why shouldn’t I buy a Roomba? ->I don’t have a cat anymore, but I have a german shepherd, and my wife has long hair. I bought a Roomba 105 Vacuum (only vacuum, no mopping) a couple of weeks ago and it cleans our house quite well. The nice thing about the vacuum only model is that the dust bin (for dirt, hair and whatnot) is nearly twice the size that it is on the vacuum/mop combo model. I paid $179 at Amazon for this, so it’d be well within y9ur budget. Oh, also it has Lidar mapping so it won’t go down the stairs.
r/roomba • Pet and hair focused roomba recommendations ->Yes. Roomba 105 navigates smarter but sucks (negatively) at vacuuming and would be a nightmare with hair tangles in the brush. Roomba i5 has more basic navigation, but is a much more "thoughtful" machine in terms of actual cleaning capabilities.
r/roomba • Roomba 105 ->We have the Roomba 105. It's great on hard floors but doesn't do much on our living room area rug. I'm pretty disappointed with that. We have 3 cats, and the fur and cardboard bits from their scratchers are always left behind on the rug after vacuuming.
r/CleaningTips • whats the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair you've ever tried? ->Yes. The mapping is actually really good!
r/CleaningTips • whats the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair you've ever tried? ->I had a 105 and that does not avoid any cable / plant obstacles, in this respect the j7/9 are way better. The rest of the time the navigation on the 105 is sensible, only on 1st run did it behave really oddly. I returned the 105 for 505.
r/roomba • New 405 just arrived! ->Those are the exact same robots afaik, doesnt mstter which one you get tbh.
r/RobotVacuums • Why shouldn’t I buy a Roomba? ->??? Anyways The L60 and the 105 are the same exact robots. Just get the L60, or whichever is cheaper
r/RobotVacuums • Why shouldn’t I buy a Roomba? ->I Jumped the Robo Vacs wagon with a cheap " bump and go " to see if it was a fit for me.. Finally gave up after 3 years, RIP, so decided to get into the new Roomba line with Lidar and " advertised" better bells and whistles.. My dead $80 Vac beats the hell put of the $250 I paid for this crap and the headaches I endured with the software wasn't worth it.. Still after many updates, my Lefants software was better than this one.. Roomba is on it's way out and rightfully so..
r/smarthome • What's the best Robot Vacuum with Mop you are using and loving now? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
