We got a Lefant and bought a second one when we moved to a two-storey home - they run 2-3 times a day. We initially had two cats (one super soft short hair, one very fine long hair that tended to float.) We empty them every 2-3 days, and had them for about 2 years now without issues. The app is good enough, you can schedule the cleanings and the focus (edges, floor, random). It picks up all the cat fur, all the dog fur, all the litter, all the human hair. The other thing that helped a lot is air purifiers. We got a Coway Airmega and really like it, although it's definitely bulky. Between these two things, we've eliminated floating fur except on the stairs, and we don't get fur accumulating in the areas it can't reach (e.g. behind furniture) as often.

We just got one it's a LeFant M210p and I love it sooo much. Gets all the cereal crumbs and dry food mess. It goes around things left out if you don't pick up everything, or just pushes it out of the way. It cuts the work in half because before I had to pick the things up and then vacuum, now I just pick them up. We put Googly eyes on it and gave it a name. The kids think it's the best thing ever. Also goes from hardwood to carpet no problem. It isn't the smartest little robot. We have to pick her up sometimes because she'll miss rooms, and sometimes she gets lost and has a hard time finding the docking station but she does her best and our floors are way cleaner with her help. I love this little robot.

I paid £100 a year ago for a lefant M210p that was recommended on Reddit, but it doesn't have saved mapping and can barely detect walls, let alone anything tricky. It mostly finds its way around by bumping into things then changing direction. I still find it useful but it sounds like there's a big difference in effectiveness even among cheap ones.

I love mine, use it at least once a day due to the amount of shedding my dogs do. not a deep cleaner but works great keeping things under control. bought one for my son and he loves it too.

Reading this I wonder if robot vacuums are ready for prime time -- all of them. I have two Lefants. One worked great for years, the second one required a call to Amazon's tech help within the month. They told me how to do a factory reset. That worked for about a month. Then it started beeping continuously and wouldn't run. What it had must be contagious (snark) because the one that worked great started doing something similar -- runs about one minute then stops and starts beeping. Tech help was no help. My guess is it might be something to do with my wireless so I'm not sure I can blame the robot. Maybe if they went back to the drawing board and just made a robot you didn't have to use your phone to work. That would take one unknown out of the problem of fixing them when they go wrong. Just an observation after reading the posts here.

lol what the fuck got up OPs ass about robot vacs? I have a LeFant I got for $90. Thing runs 4 hours or so on one charge. I run it every day. I only empty it once a week. The maintenance I put in takes literally 3 minutes. It saves me at least an hour worth of sweeping a week.

I have a cheapo LeFant that I got for free. Just swapped the battery. It's only a vacuum. I swear by it. We only have 1 kid but the crap that, that thing sucks up is incredible. Sometimes it even gets little toys. It's a heck of a machine. I'd recommend it.

r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->

I'm sitting here regretting my Lefant purchase from 18 months ago. I'm sure you weren't thinking of going that cheap, but in case you're tempted. I'm shopping again.

I have a cheap Lefant robot vac that I run every night that is well worth it, only paid $100 and it keeps my floors very clean with 2 dogs. Like it better than the shark I paid 5x as much for.

r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->
