the mops are not as wet as you think. they dry in like 20 seconds max after passing the area. If you are really worried about it I would recommend the mobius or matrix (as both support a dedicated wood floor cleaner and mop pads that are theoretically better for wooden floors). I have the Matrix (it doesn't path that well under low obstacles and is more expensive than the mobius, so I am going to return it and try the mobius. Otherwise it cleans pretty well.
You will not find any that have a fabulous customer service. I am very happy with the Mobius 60 so far. I also have tried the dreame matrix 10, mova z60, narwal flow, and the dream aqua 10 roller. The rollers mop a little better (but all had failures within a month, except the narwal which couldn't map my house well and got stuck under my furniture).
MOVA’s P50s, V50, V60 Mobius, Z60 have fur compression
Perhaps the MOVA Mobius 60? I saw it at 999 and the pressure retention baffle for carpets seems to do better based on justadad’s videos and a German review on low pile carpet, especially if it’s high pile. You can also set it to lift up by 1cm or so so it can cross and clean 3cm carpets.
Since you have a 50/50 split of carpet and hard floors and prioritize hands-off maintenance, the MOVA Mobius 60 would ideally be my top recommendation. It features a pressure retention baffle that creates a better vacuum seal on carpets, which is great for the carpeted half of your house. However, the price unfortunately jumped back up to $1,599 after Black Friday, which puts it outside your $1,300 limit. Given that constraint, I’d recommend looking at the MOVA V50 Ultra (currently ~$779). It is extremely hands-off (very quiet, self-cleaning maintenance) and fits comfortably within your budget. You miss out on the pressure retention baffle and the automatic mop-swapping capability of the Mobius 60, but it is otherwise a very similar machine for significantly less money. You can read my detailed review of the V50 here to see if it fits your needs: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Full disclosure: MOVA sent me these units to test and keep as part of their Reddit collaboration program. They had no editorial control over my review. If you do decide the V50 is the right fit, code MOTMOV50 gets you an extra $20 off at their official store bringing the price down to $779. Hope this helps!~
Shouldn’t the Mobius get over an inch? You need to set the lip as a crossable threshold
I have the Mobius 60. We make it vacuum every day and mop every second day. For some context: we have two dogs, one of which sheds and live in Canada (—> snow/salt comes into the house when dogs go for a walk)
It's a perk for mixed flooring homes (eg tile in bathroom and hardwood elsewhere). That said it's negligible. The big perk of the Mobius 60 is the carpet baffle in my opinion.
I mean any of the 3 you listed are excellent. Personally recommended the L50 (does nearly everything the WAY more expensive x60 does) to my mom and she's been super happy (similar floor stuff to yours). At the end of the day you won't be unhappy with any of the three. The perk of the Mobius 60 is it has a carpet baffle that comes down health gets stronger carpet cleaning performance over the others- you also have the added benefit of different mobs for different floorings/rooms. Again though you won't go wrong with any of the three. If wanting to hook up to plumbing is something in the future to make it extra hands off, both Dreame models allow for that where the Mobius does not Any questions feel free to ask
The mova v60 is able to handle the hair of 2 golden retrievers with no clogs so far. (Knock on wood)
Just bought the MOVA 60....AMAZING! Floors have never been cleaner...vacuums and mops....scary smart
MOVA Mobius 60. Incredible.
Spinners are here to stay. They're going to make up most of the mid-range and low-end and people are going to keep buying them for years to come. I've tried the MOVA V60 and the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller. The MOVA does a better job than the Dreame, but I don't feel it's any better than the Eufy S1 Pro.
All the flagships do hardwoods well. Just make sure you set it appropriately in the map as you don't want to saturate real wood. A few of the bots even have hardwood specific detergent dispensers like the MOVA Mobius 60, Dreame Matrix and Narwal Freo Z/Z10 Ultra (optional cartridge required).
There's no way the Flow or Aqua leaves more water on the floor than an actual mop. The track-style mop pad or roller just doesn't hold as much water as a regular kitchen mop and their onboard water tanks are relatively small. The point of LVP is it's durable and waterproof. If you had actual hardwood, I would understand the concern but not LVP. If your LVP was installed correctly, you shouldn't have an issue.
Their ranking doesn’t make sense to me. Spinning mop pads do not clean as well as roller systems. Saying Mobius > Z60 is so crazy. Having it swap itself out doesn’t make sense when the roller is cleaning itself at a repetitive & faster rate than any other, making mop washing nearly unnecessary mid-clean. You lose so much efficiency having the Mobius return to its dock and then resume cleaning, then imagine having to wait for it to wash all 3 pads at different times. I think their rankings align more for homes that are nearly 100% carpet. While I absolutely love the quality of their videos, I’m glad I didn’t follow their guide when deciding what to purchase. The truth is, robot vacuum recommendations cannot be one size fits all. I hope they adapt their recommendation algorithm into a personalized quiz depending on people’s needs, allowing there to be an explanation as to why that robot may fit their needs best compared to others.
I was you 4 weeks ago. I bought the MOVA Mobius 60. It's amazing.
