I was hella disappointed in the gen 2, seems worse then the gen 1, probably the only good thing is that it’s gonna make the gen 1 price drop
They removed the camera at the front, so I’m pretty sure no obstacle avoidance, and the new brush you can just put on the gen 1. The suction is better, but I think it would be more worth it to save money and just get the gen 1 now that it will be cheaper
The camera lets it actually identify objects, without it it kinda just uses the laser to see if theres anything there, if you look from like the 6 minute mark and forward oin vacuum nerds new videos you can see that hte gen 2 is alot worse then the gen 1 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrSR\_geERmw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrSR_geERmw) (might be something they could possible fix in software tho i just dont know)
Yeah, thats what i was thinking, to me obstacle avoidance is pretty important cause its pretty helpful if the robot doesn't eat cables.
Brand new prob mova p10 pro ultra gen 2 Refurbished you could do with a old flagship of dreame like the x40 Roborocks budget models are absolutely shit, they don’t get decent unless you spend at least 600+, and don’t get really good unless u spend 800+, if you wanna save money, just go for a diff brand. There are pluses to spending extra on a Roborock, like better customer support and they just feel more premium sometimes, but I would highly recommend just going for a diff brand unless u tryna spend 800+
I don’t know the exact price but it seems to be like 500-600. If you want a brand new option, the MOVA is a good choice, if you want a camera, the gen 1 has One, but it has slightly worse cleaning.
The robot still has lidar for navigation, it’s mainly for obstacle avoidance, most robots use a camera and like image detection to find objects, the MOVA gen 2 has Some sorta obstacle avoidance sensor at the front that can only tell if there’s something in front, so it can’t like go around and find pets or identify obstacles, all it can do is sense them. Camera detection can be better or worse It all depends on the model, but if you don’t need a camera for pets or anything, I think the gen 2 is perfectly fine.
Mova p10 pro ultra, nothing as good for this price point (Gen 2 if you want better cleaning, gen 1 if you want better obstacle avoidance) Edit: ignore what I said about the gen 1, js get the gen 2
I would probably reccomend the mova p10 pro ultra, gen 1 if you want better obstacle avoidance, gen 2 if you want better cleaning.
Mova p10 pro ultra gen 2 probably, don’t get the eufy, not having a extending side brush is pretty bad.
Eufy e25 is on sale right now for 599 on Amazon, if you can spend the lil bit extra, I would highly recommend it. It is a roller mop so kinda mop focus, but it will mop well for hardwood. If you really don’t want a mop that much you could also just get a mova p10 pro ultra gen 2. I would say look at vacuumwars.com You can look at their hair tangling tests and vacuumin tests.
Probably the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2, A lil over budget, but its def worth it in my opinion. You could also get hte gen 1 as its cheaper now.
That's a terrible recommendation for their case, they specifically said they want a roller, and the mova p10 pro gen 2 has terrible obstacle avoidance, which makes it more of a hassle to use.
I didnt really care about rollers, I tried a mova p10 gen 2, it kepts tryna eat all my cables, I just returned it and decided to just splurge and get CurvX that was on sale for 700-800 or smth like that.
You should probably return it if you just baught it, roomba as a brand is so far behind the other brand like dreame and Roborock and movva, that’s litterly why roomba went bankrupt. For around thr same price if not cheaper you can get the movva p10 pro ultra which has way more features
I’m not tryna be mean, but you should definetly try a brand like Roborock or dreame at least once, they are wayyyy better, roomba is so behind in the robot vacuum industry, that’s the reason they went bankrupt and were bought buy some other Chinese robot vacuum brand. The MOVA p10 pro ultra is very well priced, and has so many good features that roomba just doesn’t have even on their more expensive vacuums.
It took away the rgb camera I think so costs savings to add in the other fancy upgrades. At least the image of the gen2 on amazon did not have the Ai text above the cameras spot anymore and was missing the night time fill led. 26,000 PA 1 Hour Eco Dry 212 Degree PTC Hot Mop Washing TurboPress Tech with 12N of pressure, 260RPM
I got the Mova 10 pro plus about a month ago from the company direct and love it. Please note there are two versions: one has +/-8500pa suction and the other +/- 10,000pa suction (can't remember the exact numbers though). It too washes the mops with hot water and heat dries them. İ would want the attachment to auto fill and empty the water but can't do that because we're in a rentaİ. I have pets and Turkish carpets. Goes around the pets and lifts the mops while going over the rugs. I actually have it on increased power while vacuuming the rugs. Fringes have not been an issue. I used to have a just-vacuum robot but this one is so much better! my house never looked cleaner. Scheduled cleanings are the best! One issue that I encountered, hopefully a one-time fluke was it dropped the mops for no obvious reason but it told me to put them back on! then continued to work where it left off so no issue there. İ empty the dirty water after it's done cleaning right away because once i forgot and it was really stinky the next morning (when i opened the lid to empty), otherwise no obvious smell.
İ have the move P10 pro. I noticed the fringe portion of my handmade rugs were getting a beating. Anyone use a special setting to avoid the fridges? I now have to lift off the ends of the rugs using the chairs. I wish i could get it to recognize them as "fabric" to avoid it....
Mova P10 Pro gen 1 and it's not even close. Pretty much does everything the expensive boys do, but at an astonishingly great price. Gen 2 has lackluster upgrades and a few downgrades. Gen 1 is $449 on Amazon right now.
The largest is the removal of the RGB camera- thats a brutal loss for obstical avoidance
Short list from many reviews and my super short experience with one: they use a ton of water for no reason which really hinders mopping performance, AI avoidance is worse than 3 year old roborocks, robot will make absolutely dogwater decisions compared to other brands, and the overall hardware is generations behind their competition There is absolutely no reason to get one when the Mova P10 pro exists at $400 (less than Shark's $600 "flagship" while the P10 has a better app, navigation effrcency, mopping, AI obstacle avoidance that actually works, extendable corner arm, hot water mop cleaning, better tangle resistance [though both are meh]). If you spend $600 you can upgrade to a P50 pro ultra which adds better suction, auto adding detergent, anti tangle brush, and even better obstacle avoidance. i’m not saying you should regret your decision if you bought one, you just asked for reasons and I wanted to give them because there are valid reasons if you’re buying you to avoid one. If you already have one, they’re completely fine and are actually great at carpet care, it’s just if you’re in the market right now there is no reason to purchase one as the competition has better preformers for less.
I’ve been really happy with the Mova P10 Pro Ultra so far, I have the Gen 1 but for $150 more the Gen 2 has superior suction power for your rug area. Very reasonably priced for the feature set IMO.
I have 3 dogs, two Pyrenees one husky, and have had good luck with the Mova P10 Pro Ultra WITH the cutter brush upgrade. This is after owning a Yeedi M14 (basically an EcoVacs X8 rebranded) and a Roborock QX Revo. Also the obstacle avoidance in my experience has been superior with the integrated camera than without.
Update: the Mova P10 Pro Ultra is in and the Yeedi M14 is gone. I’ve only done a small test run so far and it seemed to handle the toe ticks reasonably well (extended the side brush and mop, much further than the Yeedi, but not all the way to the edge). I will be trying U/Neat-Tennis-8492 suggestion later tonight by marking these cabinets as curtains.
I can't speak to the Revo but I have purchased two P10 Pro Ultra Gen1's and 1 Gen 2. The obstacle avoidance on the gen 1 P10 Pro is extremely good, flagship level, on the gen 2 its still good but has a harder time with smaller objects because it lacks the RGB AI camera that the Gen 1 has. Cleaning on both gen 1 and gen 2 is great with gen 2 pulling ahead, especially on carpets and rugs (in my testing). Between the the 3 robots (1 was a gift I gave to my parents for Christmas) I haven't experienced any problems with any of them so far. In terms of the Revo, the Costco return policy is wonderful if you decide not to keep it or have an issue. I have absolutely no regrets with these Mova robots, they have worked great for me. If they were sold at Costco it would be the icing on the cake.
Haha, you sound like me earlier this year. :D Up until this summer our house was nothing but Roombas, I think we went through 3 or 4 different models in the past 10+ years. I had a buddy who had the P10 Pro Ultra and raved about it. Dude doesn't really rave about stuff that much and my wife and I were looking at upgrading to a robo vac that could vac and mop so took a chance and bought the P10 during the last summer sale. I can't speak to first hand experience with anything on this list other than the P10 Pro Ultra, but my wife and I were BLOWN away by it too. I can't imagine anything else on this list having more value for the money. Whatever you decide you're getting an incredible machine, but add me to the list of people saying the cheapest option on this list won't disappoint, which is crazy to say.
Mine will leave a dry section between the two rollers when it's doing edge cleaning because the right wheel extends out making the gap between the two mops bigger. But it will always go back and do another pass on it later to get the part that it missed. Maybe yours is doing the same thing?
Mine 100% does NOT do this. Line in middle is normal. The dry spots in the path are not. I don't even know how that's happening. Is this starting from the base where the pads get initially wet? Does it do it at all wetness settings?
2x Mova P10 Pro Ultra. One for us and another as a Christmas present for parents. So far they are both still working great, I have had mine since the summer.
Why does this keep coming up? Is this actually a thing? I've had my P10 since this summer and its been fantastic. Bought two of them with my own money.
Mova P10 Pro Gen 2
I disagree. They said they preferred it, not a non negotiable. I think what's key is sanitation of the pads which the P10 cleans the pads at 212 Fahrenheit. Rollers are being faded out, aren't they? I've been using the P10 for 2 months and obstacle avoidance has been perfect. Added a tricut roller brush for $25 for long hairs. Both vacuum arm and mop arm extend out. I have 2 young kids and a pet and there's always things left around, no issues so far. The P10 also runs in the dark. Only issue I'm having is trying to figure out how to get it to clean the rubber kitchen mat. It thinks it's a rug lol. Probably just need to add in a clean zone or something.
how many cables do you have laying around on the ground?! I actually tried the cable test because I saw the youtuber "just a dad's" try the cable test and it ate it. my p10 went around the cable. I also watch it go around a lego piece about 1" x 1". it's pretty good in my real world testing. And regarding the mopping, I have it set to return to the base for cleaning after each room, and i run the cycle twice. Does a better job than me.
I’ve been testing the Gen 2 and honestly not seeing a big difference in obstacle avoidance. Gen 1 couldn’t see cords and Gen 2 can’t either. Gen 1 would get stuck on my curtains constantly but Gen 2 avoids them. Gen 2 also handles my long base dining room chairs better than Gen 1 I thought it would be significantly worse with out the RGB camera but honestly it’s giving me less trouble than the Gen 1
There is no best robot but in your price range, I’d recommend the Dreame L50 ultra it’s on sale for $850 right now. But keep in mind you don’t need to spend this much for a good robot. Especially in an apartment. You’d be just fine with a mid range option. The $400-$600 range is really the sweet spot in robots. The Mova P10 pro ultra gen 2 (or 1 if you want to save a little more) are fantastic options. Both have spinning mop and the gen 2 is awesome, you can see my profile for a review. If you’d like a rolling mop in tha same price range the yeedi m14+ is a great option at about $479 right now Also, keep in mind that if self empty is your only feature request you can get that on robots as low as $250. If that’s all you care about I’d recommend the Mova e30 or the Dreame D20 pro plus in that range
I have a review coming soon on the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2 - in short, get it. Its $599 right now and its awesome. If you want a dustbin instead of dust bag (not sure why) but your otpions are limited. X11 pro omni and its yeedi budget version The S20 Infinity. Both are over $1000 Yeedi/Ecovacs also have a budget tier with dust bins. The Yeedi C12/ecovacs n20 pro+ I dont think its worth compromising on performance for this one feature though. $4-600 is the sweet spot.
You don’t need a square vacuum, just one with extending side brush and probably extending side mop. Mova P10 pro ultra Gen 2 is typically made recommendation, it’s very strong at getting under the toe kicks and into corners.
P10 pro ultra gen 2 is a great robot, I just reviewed it on my page. The $400-$600 range is the sweet spot with robots. P10 is on sale right now too. i say pull the trigger
I’ve owned the P10 Pro Ultra Gen 1 for over a year now. It was easily my favorite robot of 2025. I’ve recommended it countless times because it’s the perfect intersection of high-end features and actual affordability. Honestly, I still recommend it over vacuums that cost double the price based on how it handles the real world. Because I’ve been such a vocal fan, I knew I had to test out the Gen 2. This is just my "initial thoughts" review after the first few days, but I’ll be putting it through its paces for a full month before I post a long-term follow-up. # 1. Unboxing: What’s Changed? The unboxing experience is pretty standard, but there are a few notable physical changes: The Box: The Gen 1 had a vertical box where the dock sat right-side up. The Gen 2 box is horizontal/laying down. The Goods: MOVA actually removed the cleaning brush tool (the one with the hair-removal hook) that came with the Gen 1. However, they added an extra dustbox filter, which the Gen 1 didn't include. The Dock: This is a big one for longevity. The Gen 1 used a removable tray with "wiper-style" mop cleaners. Some people found those wipers a bit fragile. The Gen 2 dock has fixed studs instead. It feels like there are fewer moving parts to break, which I appreciate. https://preview.redd.it/f0l9wsu6ujjg1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=41bc1351205a7fb99bee649702082cd60c291369 # 2. Setup and "Cyberpunk" App Vibes Once you get the Gen 2 out of the box and plugged in, the setup is a pretty seamless experience. You’ll scan the QR code to link your phone, and the first thing that hits you is the visual overhaul. Even though it's the same MOVA app, the Gen 2 has its own dedicated "vibe"—a dark mode "cyberpunk" theme with a moving grid background. It’s a small aesthetic touch, but it feels way more premium than the standard white UI on the Gen 1. From there, you’ll fire off a quick mapping run. Once that map is generated, the app is basically going to prompt you to do a full house deep clean anyway. I highly recommend just leaning into it. This is where the robot really "dials in" the map and starts learning the specific layout of your home. While the robot was out on that first run, I spent some time digging through the settings and noticed some significant shifts in the features between the two generations: Intelligent Bin Emptying: This is new. In the auto-empty settings, you’ll find a new option called "Intelligent." It claims the robot will actually detect how full the internal dustbin is and trigger an empty only when necessary. I’m not 100% sure if it’s using a physical sensor or a motor-strain algorithm, but if it works well, it’s a huge feature for truly hands-off maintenance. I’ll be monitoring this closely over the next month. # 3. Cleaning Performance: The "Quiet" Powerhouse On paper, the Pascal suction has doubled on the Gen 2 (26,000 Pa). I know people say Pa doesn't always matter because it doesn't always translate to real world cleaning performance, but here, it makes a meaningful difference. Dust Pickup: I can already tell it's pulling significantly more fine dust out of my carpets than the Gen 1 did. Noise Level: Despite the power, it is much quieter than the Gen 1. My girlfriend really appreciates this and it can run while we’re on work calls without being a massive distraction. The Brush: When the Gen 2 was first announced, I fully expected to see the Duo Anti-Tangle brush included. We started seeing those on MOVA’s lower-tier bots (like the $299 E30 Pro) in late 2025, so I was genuinely surprised to see the standard roller here. However, after using it, I’m not actually disappointed. While it’s not technically "anti-tangle" by name, the design is clever as it’s shaped to push hair out to the sides where the axles pop off, making hair removal a five-second job. More importantly, this specific brush design on the Gen 1 was a beast in suction and airflow testing because it creates a fantastic seal with the floor (an area where the duo-tangle brush struggles) A note on the Tricut Brush: The P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2 is compatible with the Tricut brush if you want a true "set it and forget it" anti-tangle experience. I actually own the Tricut, but I choose not to use it. I’ve found that the Tricut is noticeably louder and, because it doesn’t seal quite as tightly against the floor as the standard roller, it seems to slightly reduce the actual vacuuming power on carpets. For my house, the standard brush is the winner. # 4. Mopping & The "Missing" Sensor The mopping on the Gen 2 has been significantly leveled up, and it really comes down to the physics of the "sweet spot" in cleaning. The Specs: We’re looking at 12 Newtons of downward pressure combined with mops that spin at a blistering 260 RPM. Why it Matters: In the robot vacuum world, people often overemphasize downward pressure but ignore RPMs. The Gen 2 proves why that’s a mistake. You can visually see how much faster these pads are spinning compared to the Gen 1, and that speed is the secret sauce. This high-RPM approach is exactly why we still see spinning mops consistently outperform rolling mops in dried-on stain testing. The "scrubbing" frequency is just on another level. Real-World Efficiency: It is noticeably more efficient at tackling tough, dried-on messes. One thing I did notice is that the Gen 2 seems to have moved away from the waste-water "dirt detection sensor" found on the Gen 1 (which would trigger a second re-mop if the water was murky). There is no setting for "Auto-Recleaning" like on the gen 1. At first, I thought this might be a downgrade, but in practice, it feels like an intentional design shift. Because the initial cleaning pass is so much more powerful and efficient, the one-time completion rate is way higher. It simply gets the job done right the first time, reducing the need for the robot to head back out for a second pass. Still though, would still love to see auto re-mopping for particularly tough messes. Other New Mopping upgrades: 212°F Hot Water Wash: This is a major upgrade. The dock now washes the mop pads with boiling water (212°F / 100°C), which is a huge jump in hygiene from the Gen 1. 1-Hour Fast Drying: The Gen 1 took about 4 hours to dry pads, but the Gen 2 features a 1-hour Eco-dry. My biggest question with this fast dry feature was noise level, but so far its hardly noticeable just like the Gen 1. # 5. Obstacle Avoidance: Laser vs. Camera The big elephant in the room with the Gen 2 is the obstacle avoidance sensor array. The Gen 1 featured an RGB camera with an LED light, while the Gen 2 has moved to a laser-based system for obstacle avoidance. Initially, I’ll admit I thought this was a cost-cutting downgrade. I was wrong. In my actual living environment, the Gen 2 is outperforming the Gen 1 in the areas where it matters most. I have two major "trouble spots" in my 2,000 sq. ft. house that help illustrate this: Floor-Length Curtains: The Gen 1 would consistently get tangled in my long curtains. I actually had to set no-go zones in the app just to keep it from getting stuck, which meant those sections of the floor just stayed dirty. [Here's a video demonstrating how the Gen 2 is handling that area](https://imgur.com/a/W2pmOSn) Sled-Leg Dining Chairs: I have a 6-seat table with those long, horizontal base legs. The Gen 1 would constantly try to "climb" over these legs instead of navigating them and regularly get stuck or have the mops get pulled off. The Gen 2 has handled both of these areas significantly better. It navigates the curtains flawlessly, and while it does try and climb the legs at times, it seems to always figure that area out and move through the legs in straight lines instead of trying to climb. My theory is that RGB cameras are prone to fluctuating performance based on complex lighting conditions. Backlighting, deep shadows, or cleaning at night can trip up an AI camera. It's performance is pretty dependent on how well the camera can expose itself to these complex and ever changing lighting conditions. This new laser sensor is incredibly consistent because it doesn't consider lighting at all. It works exactly the same in pitch black as it does at high noon. That + general upgrades to the AI make this perform even better than Gen 1. Now, to be fair, the Gen 2 still isn't handling cables well, but neither did the Gen 1. Aside from a few very specific outliers, most robots on the market are still eating up phone cords. However, because the Gen 2 handles my "permanent" obstacles (curtains and chairs) so much better than the Gen 1 ever did, it’s an instant upgrade in my book. It’s a much more "hands-off" experience. Plus, for the privacy-conscious, the lack of an RGB camera is a massive win—you get more reliable performance without a camera lens roaming your home. [Gen 1 Sensor Array vs Gen 2 Sensor Array](https://preview.redd.it/w5cy9qiaujjg1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=6fc93aabe75acae6a200a0e01e56e0ca1748982b) # Final Thoughts: Is It Worth the Upgrade? After living with both generations, I can confidently say that if you’re deciding between the Gen 1 and the Gen 2, it is absolutely worth spending the extra money for the Gen 2. Even if you already own the Gen 1, this feels like a meaningful upgrade rather than just a minor spec bump. If you’ve dealt with any of the common Gen 1 headaches like the robot getting stuck in "weird" areas, struggling with stubborn, dried-on stains, or needing more "oomph" on your carpets the Gen 2 addresses all of those directly. My house is a gauntlet with one long-haired human, a cat, and a dog, and the Gen 2 is handling the pet hair and self-emptying perfectly so far. I’ll admit I was skeptical at first; I truly thought they were cutting corners by removing the camera. But in reality, the Gen 2 and so far I’m intervening way less than I did with the original. If you keep a relatively tidy house, this thing is a dream, and even with my "high-intensity" obstacles, it’s outperforming the Gen 1. I’m going to keep putting this through its paces to see how that "Intelligent" auto-empty and the new dock hold up. I’ll be back in about 30 days with a full, in-depth long-term review!
I disagree with that advice personally. I have Mova p10 and it goes under my toe kicks. You don’t need a $1600 vacuum for this. The saros 10 is outdated anyways now Got the Gen 2 and if also cleans under my toe kicks. The LiDAR tower height is not even an issue on my toe kicks,
I love it so far, and yes get the Gen 2. Still in a week of testing but so far it’s great. Some additional footage: https://imgur.com/a/W2pmOSn This is showing the mopping capabilities under the toe kick. Really hugs the edges. This particular video also shows how it handles my curtains (yes I know they’re too long). Gen 1 would regularly get stuck in the curtains here. I had to set the curtains as a no go zone on Gen 1 On Gen 2, you can see in this video it avoids the curtains very well and I didn’t program the curtains in the map at all. When the Gen 2 specs came out, I was concerned that they got rid of the RGB camera. One could reasonable assume that getting rid of the camera would decrease obstacle avoidance capabilities. That hasn’t been my experience though. As I mentioned, it handles this area much better than the Gen 1. Regarding cables, but the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 are pretty poor so nothing to note there. There is a corner of my master bedroom where my girlfriend insists on running cords across the floor. They both have trouble there. So my early opinion is that despite not have a RGB camera, the structured light sensor is actually out performing the Light Sensor + Camera set up on the Gen 1

I just wrote a super detailed post on this topic you can check my profile for the full thing but TL;DR >Real-time rollers/tracks look great in ads, but that’s mostly marketing theater. >For daily use, spinning pads are more than enough to maintain a base level of clean. >Tracks/rollers use more way more water, are louder, and need more maintenance. >Unless you’re constantly dealing with wet messes, they’re overkill. >Spinning pads remain the most practical choice for most homes Also not sure where you're seeing positive mentions about roomba, but avoid them entirely. Yeedi is a sub brand of ecovacs - its their budget line. They have some great value robots their but the value king robot right now is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra (not available in the eu) Eufy is fine but you wont find a lot of their products at the top of any rankings lists and their rolling mops have issues with the dirty water tank leaking. YMMV Right now id say Roborock, Dreame, Narwal and Mova are the best brands to choose from at this current moment. Knowing your region and budget would help with a recommendation. If you want a mopping first robot the Narwal flow at $1099 (track mop) is looking really nice. Probably the best mopper you can get at the moment. Only downside is that thing chugs water. Ecovacs robots have really good mopping scores as well but its hard to recommend them because they seem to have weird issues with the app and getting them to work right. If you can figure that out they are a good option. Besides that The Qrevo S5v is also a really highly rated mopper Best overall robot right now is the Mova V50 pro ultra at $1099
The best value in robot vacuums right now is the Mova p10 pro ultra if you’re in the U.S. it’s $599 right now, but it’s regularly on sale as low as $450. I’d be eyeing Labor Day sales if I were you.
I got the P10 ultra for $450 on prime day. Black Friday sale should be around there. You’ll be really happy
Just avoid the P50 right now that’s the one with the front wheel issue. P10 is fine
If you care about Value and thats your budget i'll make this easy for you. Pick the Mova P10 Pro Ultra. Its the best value in robot vacuums and its not close. You can get it as low $450 on sale, like prime day and BF. Full price it is $599, though I recommend never paying full price for a robot vacuum. Your house is massive though I dont know if any vacuums will be able to do your whole house (vacuum + Mop) on a single charge so keep that in mind. You may need to consider battery life more than the average person. However the P10 and most other vacuums have charge and resume, so its not really too big of an issue imo. Theres no vacuum on the market that is doing 4000 square feet on a single charge. The average according the Vacuum Wars is like 1000sq feet. The Mova P10 they tested can do 2300. Thats about right in my experience
I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Mova p10 pro ultra. If the only issue is that it has to recharge more frequently I’ll be very happy with that. I haven’t had that issue personally but it’s just so good at everything else and the app is incredible with all the options. No issues with the front wheel or navigation either.
Best value pick - Mova P10 pro ultra. Crowd favorite and top selling right now. Best value in robot vacuums from a features and performance stand point. $500 gets you better performance than a lot of $1000+ options. Best Flasgship pick is probably the Mova V50 if price is no object. Think it’s coming in at $1099 right now followed by the Dreame X50. Ecovacs X9 pro Omni and Roborock Saros 10r are other flagship options but I’d place them a tier below the Mova and Dreame right now because both have their quirks. Best Mopping is probably the Narwal Flow also coming it at around $1099 preorder only. Mova has proven to really be disrupting the industry at the moment and part of the reason I recommend them is because they have 3 year warranty when everyone else has a 1 year. Picking one can be hard, but really don’t try and over analyze it. They’re all good enough at what they do, you will drive yourself crazy trying to nitpick all the marginal differences between them all. Especially at the higher end. I’d say the P10 pro is the best option for you based on your description and I think you’ll be really happy with it. I have a similar layout as you. Mostly hardwood floors with some area rugs. I have an office and bedroom with the only closets in the house. The P10 pro ultra is now the only vacuum in the house. I love it.
Depends on your budget. In my opinion the best value robot out right now is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra at $500. You get features and performances of $1000+ vacuums at less than half the cost. If you want to spend more or less let me know and I recommend others
I don’t think it’s worth it, that $400-$600 range is really the sweet spot. Everything above that the price to performance drops off tremendously. Ever since the Mova P10 pro ultra at $500 came out it’s really moved the needle in terms of what’s “worth it”
The best value robots right now is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra. If you can be patient you can get it below your budget. It was $450 on prime day, and with Labor day and black friday coming up it will likely dip around there again. If you can't wait, the Dreame L40 Ultra is very similar to the P10 Pro Ultra and its $474 right now. Another good option is the Roborock Q10 S5+ thats sitting around $549 at the moment Super budget pick would be the Yeedi C12 Pro+ which is going for $249 right now on Amazon this is great pick.
The best value and price to performance ratio is outside the models you listed here. That title belongs to the Mova P10 Pro Ultra. Its best value in robot vacuums and its not particularly close. On sale, as low as $450 it has better perforamnce and features than many $1000+ vacuums. As with anything though value is determined by the price you get it at. Never buy a robot vacuum at full price, they're always on sale. You can get the P10 right now for $599. Id recommend waiting on all these vacuums until labor day or black friday.
I wouldn't view that way. I encourage you to think about your purchase in the context of price to performance. Above that $400-$600 range you're really paying for features that only marginally improve cleaning performance. Keep that in mind. $1000+ vacuums aren't necessarily the best cleaners, they just have the most features. I always encourage people to look at the Mova P10 Pro Ultra. You can get it as low as $450 on sale. It has the perfect sweet spot of necessary features without all the fluff. Regularly beats out $1000+ vacuums in practice. Right now its not on sale though, and I never recommend you pay full price for any of these vacuums. Its big brother the P50 pro ultra is on sale right now so that might be the better buy at the moment. If you have time to wait I might be seeing what goes on sale during labor day (if you're in the US).
P10 pro ultra is support and has better reviews from what I’ve seen.
Nice I got the Mova p10 pro ultra for about the same price and it’s awesome. Basically the same vaccum as far as I can tell but the Mova had better reviews. This is my favorite consumer electronic I think I’ve ever purchased
Get a Mova P10 Pro Ultra on sale for $450-$550 and sell the roomba. You dont need to spend $1000 to get good mopping. That $400-$600 range is the sweet spot. ONce you try a different robot you wont want anything to do with that J7
Unfortunately, the P10 Pro Ultra isn’t available in the EU right now — which is a shame, because it’s currently the best value in the industry. For North America and the EU, I think the V50 is the best vacuum you can get at the moment. If it’s in your budget, I’d grab that one. Every vacuum has its downsides, but try not to overthink them. Most “negatives” only show up when you compare models side by side. In real-world use, you’ll be extremely happy with your purchase and entirely satisfied with its navigation and obstacle avoidance, both of which will improve over time especially with OTA updates. When the X50 came out it had the same "negatives" that were eventually fix with an OTA update. As long as you know the vacuum you are getting has the hardware (lidar + RGB cam) the navigation and obstacle avoidance will all improve with updates.
If the S8 is your price range I’d look at the Mova P10 Pro Ultra you can regularly get it in the $500 price range
I'm not sure what you mean really by function/stability level. Function wise, it has vastly more features and vastly better performance than even Roborocks higher end vacuums. So yeah, it absolutely crushes the S8 in that department. The S8 doesn't even have a selfemptying base station, it shouldnt be considered based off that alone. Plus the tech on this robot is over 2 years old. The P10 is in an entirely different class here but keep in mind this is a 2025 tech robot vs 2022 tech. Im pretty sure the S8 is discontinued and not even sure if you can buy it anymore but quote me on that Stability wise, If you have experience with the S8 and it had be repaired twice, then simply I wouldn't be considering that vacuum any more. I think the Mova P10 pro ultra is the best in class robot at that mid-range price level and its not close. If you want the features and capability of $1000+ vacuums at that $500 price point its a no brainer option. Mova has a 3 year warranty while Roborock only has a 1 year warranty too. Look at JustADads videos on it as well as Vacuum Wars videos on it. It is highly acclaimed by the most trusted reviewers. On VaccumWars, the Mova P10 Pro Ultra is rated higher than the Roborock Qrevo curve ($1299), tHE Roborock Saros 10 ($1599), the Roborock S8 Max V ($1299) and only scored .07 points lower than the Roborock Qrevo edge ($1599), and .10 lower than the Roborock Saros Z70 ($2599) Bear in mind though none of these reveiwers do long term testing so longevity is hard to gauge. But you dont see many complaints in this sub or online about the P10 pro ultra having issues and mine has been flawless for 3 months of daily running so far. Additionally, Mova is just crushing the robot vacuums industry right now. The V50 Ultra ($1399) just took over VacuumWars top spot as their best robot right now. Mova is just good. Id only avoid the P50, that one has issues with the front wheel breaking Lastly, here is a comparison between the P10, S8+, and S8 https://vacuumwars.com/compare/mova/mova_p10_pro_ultra/?compare=mova-mova_p10_pro_ultra-vs-roborock-roborock_s8-254-vs-roborock-roborock_s8
Mova P10 pro ultra. Dreame L40 ultra.
My only affiliation to Mova is that I own one lmfao
The Narwal Flow has been out in asia for a long time. Use google translate in chrome browser here: https://blog.naver.com/roboticsnugget/223895959529 part.1 https://blog.naver.com/roboticsnugget/223897327563 part.2 This was really helpful in depth review comparing it to the Dreame X50. There's just no way any part of a cat is getting sucked up into any of these vacuums. They arent that strong or big enough. Cats and people are very easy for these machines to recognize. They're big compared to the things they struggle with, like cords. You dont need to worry about this. Beyond that though my cat just ignores and runs away when it gets close anyways The Narwal notoriously uses a ton of water, so if you dont want to want to be refilling constantly then you might choose something different. I dont know if you're dead set on this price range but right now you can get the Mova V50 cheaper than than the Narwal flow with code USLIVEONLY50 for $50 off through movas website. It has Lidar+RGB and its the better vacuum of the 2 unless you're dead set on a rolling mop. and Mova vacuums do specifically have pet recognition which is fun. It does recognize pets, but since it has a camera, it records a .gif of your pet interacting with it and sends it to your phone lol I use a Mova P10 Pro Ultra in 1950 square feet, half my house every day and I need to replace the water once a week. Your house is smaller, so you might need to refill less depending on how much you mop
It’s a no brainer. Mova p10 pro ultra at $500 rn has features only $1000+ robots have. Don’t even need to think about it just buy it
Out of that lineup the X10 Pro Omni is the better robot Qrevo S has abysmal obstacle avoidance and marginally better mopping than the x10 If you're in the US though at this price range id recommend the Mova P10 pro ultra over the 3 you've chosen here in this price range also in the US, id consider just waiting for labor day if you can probably going to be a ton of sales
The V50 is the choice out of this lineup and it's not close imo. It's probably the best robot out at the moment. Dreame and Mova are the same company by the way If you want the best value robot there is one you haven't listed here which is the Mova P10 Pro ultra which should be the choice over the L40 in that price range. It's probably the best bang for your buck vacuum on the market.
I ordered my P10 directly from them because their point system is really good and they give you so much free stuff. Like on the website when you sign up for their loyalty program you get 50% off all accessories. So you can load up on solution and extra parts for OEM parts even cheaper than the aliexpress and amazon knock offs. They also do additional discounts during their live streams and they have one tomorrow, id watch that closely. V50 being the best vacuum right now is according to[ Vacuum wars here is the ranking page](https://vacuumwars.com/vacuum-wars-best-robot-vacuums/#1)
If you’re wanting to spend that much you might as well get the Mova V50 ultra complete. It’s better than the Saros and $200 cheaper. I really don’t think you need to spend that much anyways though. If all you want is LiDAR and spinning mops, you can get the Mova p10 pro ultra for $500 It has spinning mops, extending brush&mop, hot water cleaning and a premium base with detergent dispensing, auto empty, and auto mop washing and drying. Basically all the features of a $1000 plus robot it’s the best value in the market right now
> I'm also really interested in the new Narwal. I love that it will keep mopping until it detects the water runs clean when being rinsed off. Dreame and Mova have dirty water sensors in a lot of their robots as well and they will reclean with their “clean genius” setting if they detect overly dirty water. This feature is present in many mid range options so don’t feel like you need to shell out $1099 for that feature. Would be helpful if you gave your region and your budget. If you’re in the U.S. I’d recommend looking at the Mova P10 Pro ultra probably the best bang for your buck in the entire industry at the moment. At the price the L40 ultra is going for I’d recommend it over the entire L40s lineup. The X series is obviously a tier above all those other ones you listed. If you plan on spending $1000+ on your robot then I’d recommend the Mova v50 over the Dreame X50 and X40. It’s about $300 cheaper than the X50 and it’s better. And better than the X40 for like $70 more. The narwal flow could be great but I’d wait a bit for more reviews to come out. Everything you see on YouTube was sponsored and paid. Anyone in the U.S. with that vacuum was given it for free so not sure really how good it is at the moment. Seems promising so far looking at the Asia reviews, just still not sure it’s the better buy than the V50 at this point in time since they are the same price. Keep in mind with the narwal flow that thing chugs water. Especially when you let it keep recleaning over and over. So if you want a lower maintenance robot you might look else where
In that case the best bang for your bang that really punches WAY above its weight class is the Mova P10 pro ultra. You can get it as low as $450. Has the features of $1000+ vacuums and performance that beats many $1000+ vacuums It’s not on sale right now at $600 but labor is in a couple weeks I bet you can snag it around $500 if you can wait. Never buy a vacuum at full price. They’re just on sale too often you’ll get burned. Labor is coming up so I’d target that weekend to buy
Wait for Black Friday and get the Mova p10 pro ultra. Unquestionably the best value in this whole vertical when it’s on sale at $450. Not even a question.
L40 ultra is a bit different, p10 has a few better specs but they’re very close
Because if my house is all wood and tile I would prefer a roller mop, as long as the added maintenance isn’t a concern. Mova p10 pro ultra is the best value in robot vacuums and it’s a great choice though
I own a p10 pro ultra as well, I love it.
Can you wait till Black Friday? The Mova p10 pro ultra regularly goes on sale for $450 and below. That’s the best robot you can get for that price and it’s honestly the best value in this whole category right now. It has features present in $1000+ robots. And yes, it has multi floor mapping that works really well
If you’re in North America the Mova P10 pro ultra is the best mid range vacuum and it’s not really close. Better than the 3 options you’ve listed here Higher rated than the max v at half the cost https://vacuumwars.com/compare/mova/mova_p10_pro_ultra/
Fair enough. Honestly, that $400-$600 range is the sweet spot. You dont need to spend much more than that ill be honest. Especially when you have the Mova P10 Pro Ultra outperforming $1000+ vacuums at that $500 price point. Even its own direct upgrade the P50, the cheaper P10 pro ultra scored higher than its $800 bigger brother The Eufy has dirty water tank leaking problems and people are having issues with that still after the manufacturer tank replacement.
Check out justadad reviews as well. He raves about the p10. But rtings not having a lot of vac reviews should be a red flag. Best to stick to reviewers that specialize in vaccums/cleaning. RTings will have a wide breadth of reviews but it’s too broad of product focus for them to go as deep on something like robot vacuums. Just my 2 cents.
suction power is the distraction. See how you're focused on high suction power marketing claims? The hands down, undisputed best vacuum for carpet cleaning is the Dyson Vis Nav 360 and that only has 8400pa of suction. When tested in the real world, high PA doesn't equate to better performance. Airflow Matters. Sealing matters. It's about the design. VacuumWars proves this time and time again. Advertised suction is meaningless. So many lower PA vacuums out there out perform higher PA vacuums. A great example is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra (13000PA) having better suction in use than its big brother the Mova P50 Pro ultra (19000PA). Tested suction at max power - P50 .71kpa, P10 Pro ultra 1.08 kpa. Like its not even close Dyson Vis Nav being the crown example. 8400 advertised pa suction, and at the top of every vacuum wars suction test to this day. Also, the Saros 10r is not anywhere close to the top of suction power ratings
Vacuum only is really calling your options. Best “vacuum only” right now is probably the Dreame D20 pro. It’s around the $300 mark on sale. Wouldn’t trust it to avoid poop though. Not many I would trust to 100% to avoid poop. At $500 you’d want to get something with RGB camera for better obstacle avoidance. The Mova p10 pro ultra at $450 is your best bet at that price range. it has mopping but you can just not use it. Your best bet with poop is to just make sure there is none before running it.
I don’t think there is any best. I think it is among the best. It’s a great vacuum. So is the Mova p10 pro ultra that is less than half the cost. You will be happy with any robot honestly
You don’t need a high end system any newer vacuum should handle this. Mova p10 pro ultra is $400 and can easily handle moving furniture
No. Zero reason. It's the best value robot in this entire vertical and you will be very happy with it
Mova is great. Sorry if you had a bad experience.
I would assume so, these things are on sale constantly even when its not a holiday. P10 was $450 on prime day and then it was $500 for like a month after for no reason. On sale, its the best bang for your buck there is so id get that when it drops again
It has multi level mapping. You can map multiple floors with it. You just carry it up when you want it to clean that floor. But it’s cheap enough you could get 2 on sale if you wanted lol. Goes regularly around the $450 mark and there are plenty of $1000+ vacuums that the P10 outperforms
The Mova P10 pro ultra $450 has a 3 year warranty vs Dreames 2 year warranty. Both good, but I lean P10 if the price is the same as it often is
[Walmart does sell Mova.](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mova-Robot-Vacuum-Mop-8-300Pa-Suction-140-F-Hot-Water-Auto-Washing-Drying-Dual-Spinning-Extenable-Clean-10-5mm-Lifting-Carpet-360-Obstacle-Avoidance/16307411821?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=102786031&selectedOfferId=3A96E7CF6F3B3EDD8C30077F54CBEFC6&conditionGroupCode=1) I don’t understand the appeal of detaching mop pads when vacuum then mop exists.
I disagree with that advice personally. I have Mova p10 and it goes under my toe kicks. You don’t need a $1600 vacuum for this. The saros 10 is outdated anyways now Got the Gen 2 and if also cleans under my toe kicks. The LiDAR tower height is not even an issue on my toe kicks,
Not sure what deals are better than the p10 at $450. Best value in robots
3.6 inches/9.1cm is quite a generous clearance. If you worry about it being good at avoiding things, brands like DJI, dreame, eufy, matic, mova, Narwal, will fare better than ecovacs and roborock at obstacle avoidance. Out of the brands I listed, dreame/mova models with a spinning mop and a retracting lidar will fit. If you’re okay with tidying up, ecovacs (t50) and roborock (Saros lineup, Curv X) also have options that are also short enough to fit under there. As for long hair, dreame/MOVA and roborock do better mainly because they rely on the airflow directing any tangled hair into the dustbin instead of combing it like ecovacs.
The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra will be the best for this as it is at 899 CAD and has the same performance as the Dreame L40 Ultra without mop removal. You can ask it to vacuum carpets first. The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra at 1149 CAD will be even better at carpet cleaning and keeping the mop pad cleaning tray cleaner and can remove mops. I referred to Amazon CA for prices~
They kept marketing themselves as Dreame’s MOVA until recently when it decided to create its own brand identity so I am surprised as to how such simple information wasn’t checked.
Please don’t believe his numbers. The L40, X40, and the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra have essentially the same mopping system but the test values are very different.
Dreame/MOVA models with an RGB camera and Narwal camera enabled models are best at obstacle avoidance. As for hair: dreame/MOVA models with the TriCut brush will do just fine with human hair and pet fur. For longer hair, I’d look at the dreame L/X40 and newer (MOVA P10 Pro Ultra and newer) as the new side brush design is more tangle resistant compared to the previous one. If your pet sheds a lot, I’d recommend the Dreame x50 ultra as it can compress fur in its dustbin as it vacuums. Narwal’s Freo Z Ultra is a good choice for hair and fur too. It has great obstacle avoidance and will have the best smart cleaning program. There is also the LDS-only Freo Z10 which will be able to mop closer to edges and untangle any tangled hair on its side brushes These models all are combo models that mop much better than a swiffer. Upcoming models that will mop better than the previous models: MOVA Z50 Ultra and the Narwal Flow.
Best cost efficient choice: dreame L40 Ultra and the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra are 599 USD on Amazon for their Easter sale. Both models are essentially the same save for the L40 having the ability to remove its mops.
Roborock isn’t as good as other brands when it comes to poop avoidance. Dreame, Eufy S1 pro, and Narwal are much better at this. MOVA is a subbrand of dreame. Narwhal Freo Z ultra Narwal flow should be better for carpets though but the lack of any hair tangle measures on the mop is an issue considering how the MOVA Z50 Ultra which mops great and works great with long hair with similar poop avoidance performance has combs to help with hair tangles on the mop. Eufy also doesn’t have very good carpet cleaning and as good edge cleaning compared to the previous two An all rounder should be the dreame X50 Ultra for fur compression if there are heavy shedders or the dreame x40 ultra/ MOVA P10 Pro Ultra if the main issue is mainly just long hair.
This is definitely not exclusive on the ecovacs X9 pro omni. Ecovacs is late to this feature. Models that can do this well: Dreame’s L/X40 Ultra and newer (assuming there’s an RGB camera), Narwal Freo Z Ultra; Roborock Saros series and CurvX, MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, P50 Pro Ultra, Z50 Ultra, V50 Ultra
Dreame's and MOVA's robots with an extending mop will excel at cleaning edges like these since the algorithm is very aggressive compared to other brands. Any model from the X30 Ultra and newer or the P10 Pro Ultra and newer can do this.
Depends on your purchasing region. I’d recommend one with autoemptying and for it to have an all in one base station if you want it to mop so it can clean twice a day for you. My robot runs twice a day and at 20,000sqm cleaned, it still works great. Vacuum only ones: Roborock Q5 Max+ or the Q8 Max+ (I don’t know much about the other new roborock models so I’ll wait for other users to report their experience to consider recommending them) Combo ones Xiaomi is a popular cost effective brand. I’d recommend the X10+, X20 Pro and the X20 Max. This is if you want it to vacuum and then mop (which I use since my corgi drools a lot). The TriCut brush compatibility also means it’ll deal with corgi fur well. Xiaomi is not available in the NA market. Dreame’s L40 Ultra and MOVA’s P10 Pro Ultra have been sold in the US for 499-599 (the price fluctuates) and are essentially the same robot. It is also compatible with the TriCut brush. Narwal Freo Z10 will be recommended as it is the cheaper autoemptying model.
MOVA P10 Pro Ultra and the Dreame L40 Ultra should be in this price range (use a price tracker) and greatly outperform other models in the same price range. I think one of them shipped with the anti-tangle tricut brush, which worked well with my long-haired corgi's fur. I'd so change the mop pads to the roborock saros one (cheap on aliexpress) as it's plusher and can remove muddy prints better. Not so much a fan of how the dustbin can clog in the middle with fur, but have empty space on the sides, and how the self-cleaning mop washboard loves to have fur in every nook and cranny. The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra does also seem to have a front wheel breaking issue in North America, which is weird since this issue isn't reported nearly as much with the near identical Dreame L40 Ultra.
Vacuum only: roborock q5 or q8 max+ or the switchbot k10+ with a tangle resistant all rubber brush. Vacuum and mop combo: MOVA P10 Pro ultra at 399 (I think on Amazon US). This is a de facto last gen flagship and the antitangle TriCut brush (may ship in a bundle or needs to be bought separately from MOVA/dreame but AliExpress resellers can be cheaper) worked great with my long fur corgi’s fur and tumbleweeds. This one is least likely to get stuck compared to the previous options. Compared to other vacuum and mop combos under 400 which are solid budget robots, the p10 pro ultra blows them out of the water. As for the curved legs, I think the MOVA may at first try to ride up them then eventually learn how to properly avoid them. I have the MOVA V50 ultra and after it humped tripod legs on the first day, it was able to “learn” how to smoothly follow the tripod legs and avoid riding up on them on the third day (second day produced mixed results).
Poop dodging? Sorry this feature won’t be on both models you’ve mentioned. It’s only in the 400-600 range that has actual ability to dodge poop. I’d check out the MOVA p10 pro ultra or the dreame l40 ultra which are currently the cheapest models with this capability and sometimes is sold with the antitangle TriCut brush which has worked well for my long haired corgi. I think there’s also the Narwal Freo Z ultra which was at a similar price range of 600 something.
I’d get the MOVA P10 pro ultra as MOVA/dreame’s obstacle avoidance is one of the best. It’s also a de facto flagship robot at the same price range as the other two which are mid range robots and will blow them out of the water. The roborock QX Revo only has structured light which isn’t very good for obstacle avoidance anyway. The ecovacs has pretty bad obstacle avoidance too but this is mainly due to a lack of an LED fill light and poor firmware. https://youtu.be/wbkEQ03wZEM When i run everyday to vacuum first then mop, the floors were noticeably cleaner and my wood floors had a sheen to them and felt softer over time. Much more barefoot friendly if you ask me.
Roborock and MOVA / dreame generally have better navigation and mapping than ecovacs. As for less maintenance, the MOVA P10 pro ultra has a self cleaning mop washboard which is the same as the L40 which generally moves most dirt and dust to the drainage area. Not a fan that the bottom isn’t completely removable like roborock so this is a flaw that can be a dealbreaker for you. https://youtu.be/QjUASR3DdIE
Try the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra for 499 USD or the near equivalent Dreame L40 Ultra at the same price. Much better at cleaning than the ecovacs model while being cheaper. Only the Narwal models have a handle to carry its base station. However, every model with an all in one base station (with the exception of the Narwal flow), need to have the base station on the same floor as the robot.
The dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra are popular combo robots at 500-600 usd (I haven’t found a combo that is in the same price range and delivers the same functions and performance as these two models). The main brush won’t get tangled if you use the TriCut brush which worked well in my home with long hair and a long haired corgi.
Cost effective choice that deals well with fur: dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra work with an antitangle TriCut brush which has worked well in my experience with a long haired corgi. Price should be from 400-600 when on sale. Eufy e25/28 will also be a good choice at about 600-800. Do ask eufy customer support for a new dirty water tank to avoid it from leaking it on the floor. The s1 was ruled out as the e25/28 do better on rugs and carpets and the s1 (both non-pro and pro) lacks a good antitangle brush but the all rubber main brush is generally tangle resistant.
I’d prioritize a robot with antitangle rollers, decent mopping (usually starting at the 500 USD range), and an easy to clean robot. Really good midrange option: dreame l40 ultra or the MOVA p10 pro ultra at about 500. They’ll deliver the best bang for buck performance. The x40 ultra should also be in this price range. It should come with an antitangle TriCut brush that works but generally makes it louder. The most expensive options have quieter antitangle rollers as they don’t cut the tangled hair but direct it to the dustbin with their tapered end. A bit more expensive but better mopping: the eufy e25 at 629 USD has antitangle brush rollers that work and a decent roller mop. do ask Eufy’s customer support for their updates dirty water component as the one the first gen ones ship with have a leaking issue. I don’t see any other robot in this price range that mops better. Most expensive with the best mopping that doesn’t really come at the cost of vacuuming pet fur at 999: the MOVA Z60 Ultra SA has antitangle rollers and a good roller mop that can extend to clean closer to edges with antitangle combs on the roller mop to prevent tangling. It’s very similar to the MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller which is more expensive with the only difference being threshold crossing wheels but the mopping is the same. MOVA sent me their Z60 ultra roller to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program and I found it to mop really well with no tangles anywhere other than fur wrapped around the fluffing roller which you need to clean once every 30 working hours (the app reminds you).
The dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra frequently are at 475 usd, I would definitely wait for sales. These robots are going to be the most cost effective compared to other robots. They should come with an antitangle Tricut brush or a tangle resistant rubber roller.
Is the dreame L40 Ultra and the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra no longer on sale?
They’re basically the same model but the dreame has mop removal and the MOVA doesn’t.
Both the roborock s8 pro ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra are good choices. The MOVA p10 pro ultra wins for obstacle avoidance and edge and corner cleaning. The s8 pro ultra would be better for hair on carpet mainly because it has dual rubber brushes.
I’d recommend the Dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra at 400-450. Although they are vacuuming and mopping combo robots, they’re pretty good vacuum robots with great obstacle avoidance, chair legs and wires won’t be a concern. If it’s only chair legs that’s a concern, I’d check out the roborock q10 s5+ or if hair and fur shedding is a concern the dreame d20 plus/pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro plus which should be in the 200-400 range.
The MOVA p10 pro ultra is good but its dustbin isn’t as great when it comes to handling a lot of pet fur. If your pets shed a lot, I’d recommend the Dreame or MOVA robots with fur compression as they do great with a lot of fur.
I’d definitely check out the dreame l40 ultra or the MOVA p10 pro ultra at 400-450 on Amazon. I’d get the l40 ultra if you have a home that’s like 50/50 carpet as it can remove the mops for just vacuuming and use the side brush on carpets to help pick up more fur.
I would get these models from Amazon, run it as frequently as possible (cleaning the whole floor once a day and cleaning some rooms too in the same day) before the return period ends so you can catch any build quality issues and return them if it arises. It does seem that the complaints about the broken front wheel have recently decreased in quantity so it’s likely that they fixed it in their newer batches. Quality control is the brand’s responsibility and I’m not going to apologize nor defend their mistakes which I think shouldn’t have happened in the first place but them improving is a step in the right direction. If you want obstacle avoidance, the MOVA p10 pro ultra and the Dreame l40 ultra (also at the same price) have superior obstacle avoidance of the qrevo edge/curv. Unlike the qrevo edge which has an RGB camera, a flashlight and structured light to help with obstacle avoidance, the Edge S5A has no RGB camera and only structured light so do not expect the edge S5A to avoid things like cables, shoelaces, kid toys, and even people without at least bumping into them. I’d choose the dreame l40 ultra over the p10 pro ultra as it can use the side brush on carpets and remove its mops when it is vacuuming. MOVA did send me their V50 ultra and their z60 ultra roller for a review as part of their Reddit collaboration program.
I’d recommend a robot good with fur like the dreame d20 pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro plus as their dual antitangle brushes do well with fur and their large dustbin paired with the fur compression feature which compacts the fur in the dustbin with airflow can hold a lot of fur. This is a vacuuming focused model so don’t expect great mopping as I’m pretty sure you value it being able to tackle all that fur more. You can see justadad’s review of it here: https://youtu.be/qkjU7Ge0FEA They will not avoid any pet messes so do check before you run them. If you want it to avoid things like cables, the Dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra are good vacuum and mop combo choices but I think the dustbin will be easily clogged with fur.
> Does warn water/air actually help with smelly mop? Some say it works well, and some say its a gimmick? Yes. Especially if you live in a place that is humid or cold. > Does robot vacuum make enough wheel noise, sound where it bothers downstairs? The p10 pro ultra won’t make noises that loud but you can hear it when it is running back to the base station or to a room at full speed. > . I heard robot vacuums take much longer than humans vacuum. Is there a mode where I can ask it to do a "quick/rough" clean so that it can finish basic vacuum within 30 minutes, or so? Yes. You can also get it to clean just a zone > For warranty (I live in Canada), do they pay for shipping or I have to pay it from my pocket? Most retailers do free shipping for these robots. Amazon is definitely one of them. > 5. I'd probably just click app to do cleaning occasionally when I am out. I heard dreme (or mova) has worse app experience than roborock. Are they actually buggy, or just bad translations? Mainly a more clunky UI with not so great translations. > 6. I heard mop drying can take long time and noisy. Is it true? Should take anywhere from 3-5 hours that you can set in the app. The mop drying function has always been silent in my experience.
I'd keep the P10 Pro Ultra as the combo model for vacuuming and mopping (best to run on standard suction on hard floors) and get the Dyson VisNav 360 at 349 for vacuuming carpet :)
1. Anything that moves can break. So I suggest buying from a retailer with a good return policy + a good protection plan. 2. For base station cleaning: Dreame (some models), eufy, Narwal, roborock, and Xiaomi have completely removable mop washboards. I’m not a fan of the wiper driven mop washboards on the Dreame X/L30 and X/L40 ultra and the MOVA P10 Ultra/Pro Ultra simply because there’s too many nook and crannies to clean. However their new aceclean dryboard on the L/V/X50 Ultra and newer is much easier to clean even when only the filter is removable since there’s no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide in and dirt only really collects under the removable filter which is easily removed with a wet wipe or a Clorox wipe. I’d avoid bagless base stations. Spinning mop combo robots are less maintenance than roller mop robots.
You are only going to get decent mopping in the 500-600 cad price range and this is mainly going to concern the MOVA p10 ultra as a robot with an internal water tank (e30 shouldn’t have one) will be more water efficient for larger homes like yours.
As far as I’m aware there aren’t really any build quality issues with this robot. I’d get it from Amazon or a reputable retailer with a good return policy and run it several times a day so any faults from poor build quality will show up and you can return it before the return period ends :)

1. It really depends on your purchasing region. Costco is a popular choice given its generous return policy but choices are rather limited compared to buying from Amazon which has an easy return policy within 30 days. For other purchasing regions, buying from a reputable retailer with a good return policy and an optional protection plan would be good. In Australia, I heard Harvey Norman is nicer with returns compared to JB HIFI. 2. The robots with the best self cleaning will be Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra/L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra and MOVA’s V50 Ultra P50S Ultra > MOVA’s P50 Ultra/ Pro Ultra > Roborock’s models that have spinning mops with the Multifunctional Dock 3.0 (roborock models with a vibrating mop have a washboard that is more difficult to clean as you can’t remove it) ≈ Narwal Freo models (completely detachable base) > Dreame’s models with the mop-driven wiper mop washboard (cleaning the wiper washboard is rather difficult since there’s too many nooks and crannies and you’d still have to get down to clean the areas the wipers can’t reach) > other combo robots with an all in one base station As for combo robots with roller mops and have an all in one base station, the washboard is generally flat with a few grooves so it’s pretty easy to clean. I believe most of their washboards are removable. However, it’ll require more cleaning in the mop compartment and dirty water tank. Most roller mop models have an annoying cylindrical component which drives the roller mop like an upright wet dry vacuum but you can’t remove or move it to give it a deeper clean even if gunk is stuck on it. The only combos that are close to the level of self cleaning for spinning mop models are Dreame’s Aqua 10 Pro track, the MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow since both have self-cleaning mechanisms that are made to also clean the dirty water tank and the mop compartment while also having a very easy to clean mop compartment since the thing that moves the mops is also completely removable. If you want to support a US startup, you could look at the Matic since it’s a vacuum and mop robot but taking care of it looks rather easy since it lacks a base station. The maintenance involved is replacing the bag, refilling the water with a cleaning solution of choice, occasionally cleaning the roller mop, the roller mop filter, cleaning the brush roller and de clogging the mop tubes if needed.
I have 2 movas and my original a roborock. I think my movas out preform my roborock and quieter and they all are in the same features bucket. have the p10 ultra and just got a cheaper e30 for my upstairs mostly carpets and it's fantastic on my carpets ! I already want to upgrade my p10 ultra for even more features just because lol
