"Never gets tangled bc of the brush design."

"I've never once had the roller clog with hair. ... It's got a tapered roller and apparently this is successful in keeping hair from getting tangled."

"Narwals are great and their antitag brush is amazing for dog hair."

"Of my robots, the Narwal maintains the cleanest base station and mop pads. ... That's their trademark (because using lots of water to wash works!) and I suspect the Flow will continue that trend."

"the Narwal will have the best smart cleaning mode and mopping ... Z50 is going to be a much better mopping robot than the ecovacs and eufy robots with a roller mop"

"the narwal can sense if the area isnt clean yet and go back and clean it ... if it goes back to finish and leaves a cleaner surface than a single pass during a typical mop session from a different vac, the end result is the narwal will leave the area cleaner."

"The time saved alone from not sweeping daily is huge for me, totally worth it."

"2 young kids and a dog and haven't used my simtick vacuum on the main floor since January. I have a Narwal, not a Roomba, but it 100% has replaced the stick vacuum."

"With the plumbing kit it just sits in the laundry, drives itself out, cleans the house, then returns to the base station to clean its own mop pads, empty the vacuum bin and recharge. Then it does it all again the next day."

"For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection."

"You can choose the floor type both for mopping and vacuuming"

"the Narwal will have the best smart cleaning mode"

"Original Narwal Freo about 3 years and still going strong! ... Considering we got the original Narwal on an Amazon flash deal this has more than paid for itself!"

"owned for just over 2 years. Daily vacuuming of entire house, 2x weekly vaccum+mop entire house."

"The only issue I’ve encountered has been technical/map based and not mechanical."

"tanks need to be refilled more often."

"the narwal models are great for mopping, but are very water inefficient compared to other models with an onboard water tank."

"I suspect, like the Freo Z, the Flow will use a ton of water to keep the track-style mop clean and require refilling after every 1 or 2 uses."

r/RobotVacuumsKeep seeing robot vacuums everywhere, have they become as common as washing machines?

They are cheaper. It used to be 2k, but the older versions are like under 400, for the versions that were 2k before. Look especially around black Friday. I have the narwal freo x ultra, used to have the original narwal freo The dreame L10S ultra was coming out at the same time as that, and now that's under 300. Idk how reliable it is a I never got it and decided not to after some research and clogging. I went and stayed with the narwal freo and got the automatic water exchange system so I don't have to empty or fill the water again. The original lasted years, and the new one is running even better than that one. You'll have to look at features and pricing. Don't get the best and newest version if price is an issue. The older versions used to be top of the line and those work really well still. Do research and look at the prices and see if they're what you're willing to spend.

I had a Narwal Freo and was already happy with it. I've been testing the Eufy E25 for weeks now and I have to say, the suction power is really good. If you look at the dust container before vacuuming it into the station, you can see that it even pulls dust mites/feces out of the carpets. Special vacuum cleaners only do that. I've never had this happen with any robot. I'm really impressed. Wiping is also very neat. Unfortunately the navigation doesn't really make me happy, then it would really be perfect.

r/RobotVacuumsDoes my white whale robot exist? Auto empty , shorter than 14” base station, brushes that can handle long human hair and pet fur without a tangled mess after each use, vacuum as priority.

You're absolutely right. The Freo S is smaller than the others, and Narwal may not have cared enough about that model to redesign the conical brush roller to fit it. I'm not really sure.

How is the dust collection setting configured? Please try setting the frequency to “Always.” When set to “Always,” the Narwal robot will empty the dustbin at the start of every subsequent cleaning session. (Note that this occurs before cleaning, not after.) Due to patent issues, it appears that products other than iRobot do not have the capability to detect when the dustbin is full.

r/dogsIs a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake

Absolutely We bought one because our aussie is shedding like crazy and I really did not feel like vacxum cleaning like twice a day Bought the NARWAL Freo for 300 Euro and we are happy now

Narwal Freo. Never gets tangled bc of the brush design. Two Samoyeds. It detects carpet and I set it to automatically vacuum more powerfully. It mops too. Best $900 I’ve ever spent.

Narwal Freo, owned for just over 2 years. Daily vacuuming of entire house, 2x weekly vaccum+mop entire house. The only issue I’ve encountered has been technical/map based and not mechanical. Remapping the house resolved the issue.

Original Narwal Freo about 3 years and still going strong! We don't use it daily, but several times per month. The new Narwal roller mop that is supposed to release seems very interesting, so maybe in a year or so we'll pick that up. Considering we got the original Narwal on an Amazon flash deal this has more than paid for itself!

r/RobotVacuumsCan we talk robot vacuums that don’t freak out pets?

My dogs freaked out at first with my Narwal, but we gave them high value treats every time we started a cycle and pretty soon they ignored it. The Narwal sensors have "pet detection" so it will stop when it sees my dog in its path. Since you have cats you could take them into a room with the robot and have Churu on hand. Just let them come up and sniff it, Churu, more sniffing, Churu etc.

Have the flow which I highly recommend, but have had the Freo in the past

No problem! I would just judge based on how important mopping is really, bc I do find it to be a big gap. The Freo mops are just as good as others in their category so no issue there, it’s just that roller style is better
