"It’s fantastic for staying on top of all the shed hair—runs every day at 3pm, auto-empties, and I come home to clean, hair-free floors."
"best vacuuming particularly if you pair it with an auto empty dock"
"The second one I got was self emptying so it can continue all by itself and I really appreciate it. I only have to empty the main basin once a week and that's it. Super convenient"

"My entire apartment is carpeted and it does a perfect job picking up all the dust and hair and whatever."
"I bought a barely used self-emptying Roborock on Facebook marketplace a few months ago and it is hands down one of the best purchases/decisions I’ve ever made. One dog and a cat and I was losing my mind trying to keep up with my floors."

"Almost never gets stuck"
"Its really neat to watch on the app as it goes about your house and maps it out."
"Its only gotten stuck twice, and both times were on the same chair that has horizontal bars at floor level that it can get over if it runs at it head on, but can high side itself if approaching from an angle."

"Q7 Max(+) is whining a lot at full vacuum power. ... It's the difference between "can run at night" or not."
"the self emptying vacuum feature can get loud"

"everytime I turn it on it says "error 2 bumper stuck" ... I tried to fix it but no luck. ... It is useless now and I feel scammed."

"Yes, it could get stuck in some random places, but we got used to this and clean (from extra stuff) those areas to avoid the robot got confused."

"because i have very long hair and they clog up the rollers of the Q7 often"
"Just make sure you clean it at least every 2-3 weeks, because hairs get stuck everywhere inside, but if you use auto-clean mode, it does 90% of the job already, but still some hair might be stuck."
Idk how much this is in Australian dollars, but my mom just bought me the Roborock Q7 Max+ for Christmas and she said that when she did her research it was the second best vacuum and mop combo or something and one of the best for a budget model. I tried it once and I like it so far!
We’ve had a Roborock Q7 Max+ for a bit more than two years now, and have been really impressed with it and in particular it’s navigation. I think all Roborock have a very similar navigation system, the newer Qrevo S seem to have all the same features and more and also be cheaper, but it’s probably a bit over budget still
We have the roborock q7+ max and it is the best thing we’ve bought for our house. 2 dogs (1 is a German shepherd), a cat, and a baby. Can’t go wrong with a roborock and can’t beat the price.
I wanted to update that I've gone ahead and purchased the l40 ultra however I'm noticing that it's vacuum and capability is not so good as compared to my old Q7 Max Plus. I have also ordered the QV35A which I will be comparing with and returning the one that I don't like. I do have a question though, I'm trying to figure out how to mop my second floor since my robot lives on my first floor. I have seen posts where people said to manually trigger the wash mop function and then take the robot to the second floor but that leaves a question if the water tank would also be refilled so that the robot is making sure to keep the mop wet? Do you happen to know? Would love to hear thoughts and Ideas
Valetudo has been a great solution for me. What I did was found their list of supported robots and researched from there. I found a roborock q7 max+ (or something like that), installled valetudo, and connected to HASS. It has its own Web UI, but works with HASS through MQTT
The more you keep up with it the cleaner things stay. You’re not grinding dirt into the carpet. Sat this as a very messy person. My wife loves the Roborock I got her. Picked up q7 max plus for like $100 with 3 hours of use. Sure you have to be wise and just move cords once or set no go zones, but once schedules are set it’s awesome as a dirty dude to not be getting yelled at for crumbs and dirt on the floor every day. It does its thing, mops kitchen 4x a week, vacs the living room every day, does the bedrooms every other day scheduled for when nobody’s using the rooms. Once it’s set up, it’s fucking awesome. There is this defect in the dock bags though, I shimmed mine because the seal lets dust through/gives a bad smell. With the shims it’s perfect though!
Roborock Q7 Max+ or Q Revo if you want mop too. Killer suction, great nav, handles pet hair like a champ. Skip Eufy if you want smarter mapping.
Check here, you can compare: https://redditrecs.com/robot-vacuum/ I think Roborock is the most reliable brand, so the Roborock q7 max+ should be great for your description. But since mopping is now 299$ it should be fine. But I have one with mopping and I never have mold, since most models clean and try themselves. So the Mova P10 pro seems to be a great Allrounder for around 320-400$. But Mova (and Dreame) seems less reliable and have often problems with carpets. Why I returned mine and bought the Roborock Qrevo MaxV (for 500$) You can often get cheaper Roborock QRevo models for around 400€.
I have a Roborock, I think the model is Q7 Max+. A bit outdated by now and am currently looking at the Roborock QV 35A but because i have very long hair and they clog up the rollers of the Q7 often, I'm thinking a dual roller no-tangle brush-model would be better. The Q7 Max+ would retire to our upstairs and a newer model with the tanglefree brushes + rotating mops would replace downstairs. I do recommend getting one with a dock so it at least self-empties into a bag. I don't care for the mopping necessarily because i don't want it mopping on its first run anyways, so I'm fine just refilling the water by hand.
Hey I made a comment earlier and wanted to expand on it a bit more. We've bought two refurbished roborock vacuums and both have been great (basic Q5+ since we have carpet on two floors). Ebay is currently having a sale on refurbished roborocks Roborock Q Revo - $343.99 with coupon code MEMORIALDEALS (ends may 26th) - https://www.ebay.com/itm/404828308363 Roborock Q7 Max+ - $247.99 with coupon code MEMORIALDEALS (end may 26th) - https://www.ebay.com/itm/404335248662 If you can swing the Q Revo, it would be best, otherwise get the Q7 Max+ Both can be returned for a full refund within 30 days, and both come with a two year warranty otherwise. Seriously no reason not to buy a refubished IMO. If you get a bad one return it and order another during the next sale.
