"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."
"The obstacle avoidance is also very good and I only have the pet in house setting on for pet messes and it recognizes my fake dog poop all the time and drive around it."
"The unit was an upgrade from a Roomba S9. That unit did a good job of vacuuming but was very prone to having problems with obstacles. For example, it would launch itself up onto the circular rod -like bases of several of my chairs and become stuck there. They Roborock 10R correctly recognized all of the bases as something to avoid. Some of them get labeled as chair bases and others simply as wires. It has avoided every obstacle."

"I have also had 0 hair wrap. Both my old Roomba and Shark id have to clean the rollers weekly."
"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. After 24 hours, I see 0 hair stuck. Not one. ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."
"I haven’t had any issues with tangles on the rollers ... Honestly, I think it’s doing really well considering I have long hair and shed a lot. ... The split roller on the E28 really works."

"It’s is SO MUCH more quiet than the s7 it ramped up the suction power from 4000 to 19000 yet I can let it clean my office room while being in a call now."
"Extremely quiet compared to our last one to the point where we can have it running while my partner is in work meetings (besides emptying water and dust bin, but that is 10 seconds of loud x 2)."
"pads that lift on carpet so you can run it while the baby naps"

"The USPs for me are its ability to punch through a sofa valance to clean underneath and to go under my 8cm TV cabinet."
"have furniture that it can fit under while the curv can't. ... For us the answer was "Never lift the couch in a team effort ever again to clean under? Please take our money!!!""
"it's only around 8cm tall ... so it can get under most things no problem ... it just makes cleaning underneth the bed super easy"

"I've not had a problem and my floors get MUDDY. I have 3 dogs that go out constantly and my backyard is pretty much all dirt because of said dogs. When it rains my floors turn brown every 30 minutes 😭"
"the water residue is perfect for me—floors dry quickly but still feel thoroughly cleaned. ... flawless floor-drying"
"For me it's not leaving any streaks or excess water on the floor, so I'm really happy with it."

"It's just very bad performance when it comes to vacuuming. ... This has been the same performance since day 1 with original brush also. ... It seems the suction is not as close to the floor as it should be. ... My budget eufy L60 can pick up this debris with no issue on deeper carpet. ... This is the most basic requirement of any vacuum."
"The bigger issue is that the paths are not as tight and overlapping. ... When I look at the cleaning paths with the MOVA On the tightest setting with the max number of passes (x3) It has nowhere near the coverage of the qrevos and the carpet is not clean. ... The Revos get really tight around legs while the MOVA barely tries to approach. ... Both my Qrevos are much quieter than the p10 ultra and actually leave the carpets looking clean."
"Hair Pickup on carpet is better than the S7 MaxV but still worse than the Neato D7. ... I confirmed this by running the S7 Max V first (with rubber brush), on my upstairs carpeted room - that I purposely haven't vacuumed in a week. S7 Max V barely got anything and had some wrapped around the edges - as it does. ... For me yes but I say that mostly because of the tangle free vacuuming of pet hair and the improved hair pickup on carpets. I was tired of cleaning out the old one and so far with this I have zero tangles. ... The S7 MaxV had the worst hair pickup on carpets, with the stock rubber brush, of all the bots I ever owned. Tangles were minimal but it didn't do well taking hair off the carpets (it did great on the hardwood/tile though). Swapping out the rubber to the bristle brush improved the pickup but increased the tangle problem - it also created a problem with auto-empty for me a few times. ... It mops/vacuums significantly better than my S7 MaxV. Especially on carpets (especially especially pulling dog hair off carpets). ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."

"my Qrevo Edge was not able to avoid some cables or other things like small pet toys my puppy would bring out at times. ... Once it even ran over a little log (of shit) my puppy left out for it which caused me to have to open it up and clean it out."
"as long as your pets don't poo on the floor and you are willing to keep your charger cords away, it has a quite decent obstacle avoidance."
"its obstacle avoidance was bad, getting caught on wires and cat toys that my much older iRobot Roomba and Neato Botvac robot vacuums avoided easily."

"Whenever I do this with our 10R, I do find stuff in the dustbin, but there is never all that much. ... When the S8 goes through right afterwards, it's dustbin is completely full. The S8 that recleaned an already cleaned (by the 10R) room picks up five times as much stuff."
"terrible at picking up small bits of cat litter"
"It was a complete disappointment in the vacuum department. ... I just don't need another terrible vacuum cleaner. ... It now serves only to mop. ... our disappointing Roborock Saros 10R."

"I cannot use that for these vacuums with factory firmware because then the app just won't work no matter which wifi my phone uses. ... The apps always phone home instead of using LAN."
"it’s been broken the majority of the time"
"(The ultra got an error so I returned that to."
Got the same deal on their website. 899€ in german Roborock Store and then a 10% Discount Code via the "spinning wheel" in the landing page.
Bang for buck - mova p10 ultra Money is no object/I want the best - roborock Sara's 10r or dreame x50 ultra Budget/cheapest option changes alot based on sales. Just the other week I bought a refurbished L10s ultra for $240 Honorable mention - the new eufy e28 can be had for $800. I think its worth considering because the roller mop system they have going seems to do really good for mopping in general.
they make them with split tangle free rollers now I would go to the ROBOROCK site and look at the features before you decide Especially in regards to the hair getting tangled in the rollers... there is a difference between models Also, that particular feature you are asking for where the little sweeper jumps down into the corner and grabs the hair out and also the mop does the same thing. There are several models that have that feature and other models that are cheaper that do not. So definitely do your research before buying Another thing I'm not so sure about you getting it from Costco. I would go to Amazon and go to ROBOROCK online shop before you do anything from Costco but that's just me. Costco in those stores buy these things in bulk and they sit in a warehouse.... if you order something straight from ROBOROCK or online at Amazon and in ROBOROCK ships it... you know it's pretty factory fresh. But this is true of all the discount big box stores.... They cut deals with the manufacturers for large quantities of a particular model, even renaming the model.... be careful of dealing with those big box stores. I had the original Q Revo I ran it for a year and I did have to every weekend take the single roller out and get the hair off the ends no big deal just something you learned to do every Saturday I have since given it to my daughter because it works so good and bought myself a SOROS 10R ... partly because it has the same great mops as the QRevo and partly because it fits under my cabinets, nice and tight and has swing outs that go into the corners and gets all the junk out and partly because it has a split roller system that does not send the hair out to the ends, but groups it back toward the middle where it gets sucked into the dust bin My two dogs and my wife's hair are no longer a problem ;)
u/JustinP_RTINGS I went down the rabbithole after you posted this incredibly helpful post. Pulled the trigger on the RoboRock Saros 10R. In your experience, what is the best option for detergent? On Amazon you can buy the stuff from other brands. Some users come up with their own concoctions. The thing is: I want the best result and if possible at the nicest possible prices. I also have a follow-up question regarding 3rd party spareparts from Amazon/AliExpress for the Saros 10R? Am I gonna damage stuff going for non-RoboRock parts and detergent?
Can't, not available where I live yet…but very happy with my 10R that we had to wait months for the local release.
Saros 10R! Paid €850 in Europe on sale. Wouldn’t want anything else.
It's definitely an upgrade to the standard dragging a wet cloth. Flagship Saros 10 is using vibrarise too but its a bit more updated and has more vibration and downward pressure. Not sure how big of a difference in terms of performance it is compared to the S8. If you can find S8 for a good price then I think you wont be disappointed I also think when choosing between rotating and Vibration mops its about preference and what type of floor you have. The rotating mops are using more water I believe and could have a tendency to leave wet streaks on floors
For mopping, ideally you will want spinning mop pads and the largest water tanks available (unless you're able to run plumbing). You will likely need to refill the clean water and empty the dirty water tanks daily if the court is regularly used. The Saros 10R has a large clean water tank in the dock but a small on-board tank (65mL vs 80-100mL on other Roborocks) so even though it will do the job, it will also need to dock and refill more often, so probably the least efficient solution with a ton of features you won't care about. The QRevo series is probably ideal. You probably won't care about having the best obstacle avoidance, so even a slightly older one with spinning mop pads will probably be more than enough. I'd probably buy 2 of the QRevo Plus or something similar and have it clean the court from both ends. But really, a consumer robot isn't really the best solution. You will definitely be running these robots to their limit every single day, and you will have a ton of consumable costs.
That all sounds very positive then! I just ordered the 10R since it looked like a considerable price reduction for the holidays, I'm looking forward to seeing it map my house (not sure why I find that so appealing).
That's great! I saw that having it be able to learn certain rooms so you can just say "go vacuum the kitchen" was pretty amazing! The 10R is what I just decided to order since the price looked reduced for the holidays, I'm looking forward to learning more about it!
Bought the Roborock Saros 10R, it’s awesome. If you live in a single story with disposable income I’d get it.
