Ran both in my own home: Saros 20 missed 10% fewer obstacles than the X60. Roborock's torque wheels handle cables better if you're lazy like me.
We just got the Saros 20 but honestly i would have gone with the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow considering price and features. The defining reason for choosing Saros is that our bathrooms have very high thresholds. Even so, we're happy with our choice. We're having pets and i don't like the idea of pet hair everywhere. Considering that we plan to use it daily for vacuuming and twice a week for washing the floors for the next 5 years at least, with consumables, i expect a cost of around 1 euro per day over that period, which for us is worth it.
I’m currently considering buying the Saros 20 as well, but it honestly doesn’t make much sense for my situation. I’m coming from an S8, without a cleaning station — and that’s the biggest issue I have with my current one. Unfortunately, some strange problems have also started appearing with it lately; for example, the bumper is regularly reported as stuck, even though it’s been cleaned multiple times. The navigation isn’t great either, and I have several pieces of furniture that a Saros 10R — or even a Saros 20 — could clean under nicely. But the way things stand right now, the premium for the Saros 20 really wouldn’t be worth it. It even had a feature removed — a liftable side brush — and I’m not sure how much that would matter in day-to-day use. These are just the thoughts going through my head at the moment.
Looks like a solid flagship. The Saros 20 is the one with spinning mops and the Saros 20 sonic is the one with the vibrating flat mop which can wash the mop when it’s left behind at the base station while the robot cleans. There’s an improved threshold climbing wheel similar to Dreame’s ProLeap but it can go backwards which should mean less bumps when it gets onto the higher threshold or level. There’s also dustbag drying (a feature I love). I hope it does well :)

Most robots can cross this. The dreame/MOVA robots with the ProLeap/StepMaster system and the roborock Saros 20 and the Saros 20 sonic with their improved threshold crossing system should be able to clear this with ease.
How tall is the piece of transition? For a single one up to 30mm, the roborock models with the AdaptiLift chassis (the most expensive QRevo Curv/Edge and the Saros line). Anything higher up to 4.2cm, if a threshold is less than 9cm long (5.2cm if it is at least 9cm long), will need the Dreame X50 Ultra or any equivalent MOVA model (V50 Ultra). I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders such as yours\~ For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection.
This is definitely not exclusive on the ecovacs X9 pro omni. Ecovacs is late to this feature. Models that can do this well: Dreame’s L/X40 Ultra and newer (assuming there’s an RGB camera), Narwal Freo Z Ultra; Roborock Saros series and CurvX, MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, P50 Pro Ultra, Z50 Ultra, V50 Ultra
I’d look at robots that can stop vacuuming, lift the main and side brush and just mop when they detect a liquid spill. The Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra will be the closest robot to a steam mop as they use roller mops. There’s also the Narwal flow but no word on its release yet. Alternatively, there are robots with spinning mops that can do this after recognizing a liquid mess like Dreame’s L/X40 ultra and newer; roborock Saros models and the Curv X; the MOVA P10 Ultra/Pro Ultra, the P50 Ultra/Pro Ultra, and the V50 Ultra; and Narwal’s freo Z Ultra. Out of all of them, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra as it can mop with detergent and choose if it uses a pet odor neutralizing detergent when cleaning up after your dog or a regular one for general maintenance. Other roller mop models like the eufy S1 Pro, the eufy E25/E28, and the ecovacs X8 and X9 cannot mop up liquid spills without the vacuuming brushes smearing it.
Orderd saros 20 on Germany site 1289 euro but on offer was set off spare parts and extend 1 year guaranty good deal i think
We got a cheaper one with no mopping dock to prove the theory and moved it to the second floor once we got the second one that had the mop cleaning feature. Roborock just dropped the Saros 20 so they are having a promo. The Q10 s5+ is 279!
Recommending an old Roomba is a good way to turn someone away from vacuum bots. Poor navigation and suction. Thanks to my Bernese Mtn. dog and Husky I got into robot vacuums to supplement cleaning. Suction and agitation are both needed. I have 4 Roomba’s I don’t know what to do with. While they pull pet hair out of carpet they cant pick it up. It seems a combo brush rubber roller is the best compromise. I currently use a Roomba J9 Combo to pull hair from carpet into the notorious cigar rolls and then use a Roborock S7 to pick them up. Upstairs I have a Roborock Q5 pro that’s replaced all my other Roombas because it has the suction power and dual rollers. Since my Eufy S1 pro purchase, it’s hard to consider any non roller mop bot. Still, I think the Saros 20 shows promise. It’s short enough to fit under most furniture where debris collects too.
You can get the saros 10r for 999 if you look around, they always do this to sell inventory when a new one comes around. The 20 can go over things a bit higher, has a bit more suction power, a bit higher washing temp and updated navigation. All in all, if you dont need it to go over things a bit higher there is no clear point to spend extra on the 20
Im going to advise Roborock for 1 simple reason, it has the best app of all of them. This matters because it allows you to dial in how the robot operates and allows you to optimalize it for your needs. It allows you to make 1 room into 4 rooms so that it empties its dustbin 4 times on that room instead of 1. It also has a lot of options that improve its cleaning over default behaviour or set specefic zones, no go zones or invisible walls. You can let it vacuum the room twice before going into a double mop deep clean pass and have complex automations. It also has options to use extra detergent and change its mopping behaviour to very time consuming. Essentially I can let a roborock vacuum and mop a room in 30 minutes but I can also make it a 3 hour clean just by adjusting its behaviour and map settings. Whatever you choose, you need the best dock you can get, it needs detergent dispenser and heated water. So for Roborock I would go saros 10R or wait for the 20, it has very good detection for stains and spills as long as it always can reach its dock (it will trigger a mop clean after each spill). Its anti tangle feature is also capable of dealing with hay, it snaps it into small pieces (i have a rabbit), it does have one disadvantage, it doesnt like carpet and should only be bought for almost enterily hard floor operation.
Since nobody here is capable of answering the question, let me: The best one right now: Roborock Saros 20 The current bleeding edge is about these 3 things: \- speed \- object recognition \- climbing thresholds Cleaning is a non-issue. ALL robots will clean your place just fine. However, among the leading robots the distinguishing factor is speed, i.e. all of the other brands top models will take 2 to 3 times as long as traditional robots. Think 45mins vs 90mins or 120mins. Trust me... a robot that takes hours to clean a floorplan is incredibly annoying. Roborock is the ONLY brand that managed to add features without massively increasing cleaning durations. I cant stress this enough. There is nothing more annoying than watching your top of the line model stumbling around your apartment as you're about to leave for the movies only to come home hours later and seeing it' still going... Regarding the mopping: Yes it works. Roller mop works better than spinning mop, BUT... it's incredibly maintenance heavy, it defeats the purpose of owning a robot, because you'll have to take apart and deep clean your robot after every use, if you don't want it to rot away and stink up your place. Therefore spinning mop pad is still the best option and it does get the job done. I'd only recommend roller mop if you intend to use it commercially, i.e. for a restaurant, nightclub or something like that. Basically a place that gets incredibly dirty and sticky on a daily basis. The second best: Mova V50 and if you insist on roller mop, it's currently the Mova z60 Complete. If you don't really need climbing, it's either the Roborock Saros 10 or Roborock Curve 2 or Mova s70
