"I have 3 parrots so the floor ALWAYS has something on it. Bird poo, food, small chunks of wood, doesn't matter robots got it covered."
"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."
"With three they can just make it to a full week for emptying. ... Life changing."

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"I've used it daily for at least 10 years now, probably closer to 15 and apart from the fact you need to clean it periodically, it's still works like brand new."
"One huge leg up for a Shark over Roomba is that the brush roller is similar to a vacuum (e.g. hard plastic), whereas the roomba is a plastic roller with a rubber cover that is DESTROYED by dog fur and you have to frequently replace."

"splurge for the self emptying because if you have to empty it every time you're less likely to use it. We only have to empty ours like once a month and I have a 14mo and a 3yo who drop crumbs everywhere. ... we have a Shark with a large self emptying bin and that thing is great for the price point."

"Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months."

"It's just very bad performance when it comes to vacuuming. ... This has been the same performance since day 1 with original brush also. ... It seems the suction is not as close to the floor as it should be. ... My budget eufy L60 can pick up this debris with no issue on deeper carpet. ... This is the most basic requirement of any vacuum."
"The bigger issue is that the paths are not as tight and overlapping. ... When I look at the cleaning paths with the MOVA On the tightest setting with the max number of passes (x3) It has nowhere near the coverage of the qrevos and the carpet is not clean. ... The Revos get really tight around legs while the MOVA barely tries to approach. ... Both my Qrevos are much quieter than the p10 ultra and actually leave the carpets looking clean."
"Hair Pickup on carpet is better than the S7 MaxV but still worse than the Neato D7. ... I confirmed this by running the S7 Max V first (with rubber brush), on my upstairs carpeted room - that I purposely haven't vacuumed in a week. S7 Max V barely got anything and had some wrapped around the edges - as it does. ... For me yes but I say that mostly because of the tangle free vacuuming of pet hair and the improved hair pickup on carpets. I was tired of cleaning out the old one and so far with this I have zero tangles. ... The S7 MaxV had the worst hair pickup on carpets, with the stock rubber brush, of all the bots I ever owned. Tangles were minimal but it didn't do well taking hair off the carpets (it did great on the hardwood/tile though). Swapping out the rubber to the bristle brush improved the pickup but increased the tangle problem - it also created a problem with auto-empty for me a few times. ... It mops/vacuums significantly better than my S7 MaxV. Especially on carpets (especially especially pulling dog hair off carpets). ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."

"Its a mostly fine robot but not a fan of their mapping software. ... The basic and simple and frustrating issues with the Narwal software have been there now for well over a year. ... Issues like mapping open concept spaces and having easy to use and manipulate split and merge lines have been solved years ago by other companies like Roborock and by Dreame. ... There is no excuse that Narwal - who has most definately been made aware of these issues long ago - has either chosen to ignore fixing 'merge/split' options (and more) or the current team is incapable of doing so. ... As a homeowner with a large open concept layout their mapping software is crap and pretty much renders using their robot useless unless I want to compromise how I use a Narwal. ... Something that is not an issue with Roborock or Dreame or Mova (and probably others also). ... So if a home has basically traditiona wall spaces.Sure. Narwal is great. If the layout is open concept. Then....Narwal no."
"splitting rooms or modifications to the map also has some quirks that annoy me so much."
"it ignores my no go zones"

"Oh yeah, the 30 day bin does not apply to shepherd and husky owners in any way shape or form!!"
"The claim of 30-days before emptying is BS, as that’s based on a non pet hair household. ... I auto run it 3 times a week and empty maybe 1-2 times a week."
"The dust bin also needs to be emptied every week, not 30 days like advertised."

"Sick and tired of the Q5+ sucking up my toddlers socks"
"everytime I turn it on it says "error 2 bumper stuck" ... I tried to fix it but no luck. ... It is useless now and I feel scammed."
"the one that worked great started doing something similar -- runs about one minute then stops and starts beeping."

"If it doesn't get run at least once a day, the roller brush will get clogged."
"I do have to clean the brush off daily because it will tangle with hair ... My only complaint is the tangled brush ... as long as I go and pop off the back and pull the hair out once a day I don't have any problems."
I’m on my second robot vacuum and I basically don’t use it. It can’t handle one room and can’t automatically empty the bin because the hair is so long it gets tangled in the tiny bin (and the spinny things just whip up little hair tornado balls) 🙄 I have all hard wood floors and 2 cats and 2 Great Pyrenees. One of them really loves her mud mound in the back of the yard 🙃so lots of hair and dirt This is the Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum with XL HEPA (RV2520A0US) and it’s worse than the old Xiamo Robot vacuum I used to have in every single sense. Among the issues with the hair, the mapping and navigation suck and the app is super slow. It frequently gets lost in my 1100sqft house Give me your experiences and model name, good or bad! I’d like to run it scheduled without babysitting it …
I have currently set up in my house (vine reviewer) l10s pro L20 ultra X40 Ultra X50, Aqua10, (all shark robots) and an E25. I have several other brands, but they're unknown or lesser known like Switchbot. Of all of them, none is perfect. Aqua10 is fantastic, but crappy navigation compared to eufy. Eufy e25 has incredible navigation, with similar ability to clean. My favorite of all of them is my E25. App is nice, but lacks the features of all the Dreames. I wish I had the opportunity to try roborock, mova, etc. Sharks aren't horrible, but overpriced and useless compared to others. Shark makes really good hand vacuums, but their robot lineup is amateur garbage compared to the rest. They bank on their name to sell and people don't know better are happy with them not realizing the better options out there.
I have had both roomba and shark. Roomba needed a lot of maintenance. The good news is that it is completely rebuildable. Bad news, I know that because I changed our every part in that darn machine. My shark is more durable. Yes, I've changed our parts, but they are normal parts like filters and side brushes. I have yet to replace the motor or battery. My sister has an eufy. She has poor quality carpet, and the suction power has damaged her carpet. So... it is a powerful vacuum if your carpet can handle it. Robot vacuums are usually beat priced on black Friday. You might get lucky with Prime Day this year.
I have the Shark AI Ultra self emptying. It does not mop. It isn't a replacement for full vacuuming, but it does make the job much easier. I suffer from dust mite allergies, so I know it does a good job. However, I think it is important to point out to new robot vacuum users that you still need to do a weekly full vacuum regardless of how many times per week you want to run your bot
Just bought our first Robo Vacs, Ecovacs Deebot x11 for main floor ($900~). Shark AI Ultra Vac only for top floor with carpet ($250). We just threw them in the mix without making anything ready for them so we can test their strengths or lack thereof. Both are stellar for their price point. Both work well in darkness for their price point. Both avoid obstacles like pros.. as per their price point. While Shark is doing exactly what we want it to do, vaccum carpet and bathrooms everyday. Ecovacs vac+mop has been stellar! First few rounds felt like streakleftover fest. But, by 3rd day, floors were squeaky clean. First 2 days was all about tweaking and trying to customize everything. By 3rd, I went autopilot mode and let it do its thing. It’s working quietly at night too. We have a toddler so lot of small pieces on floor. We find everything as it is the morning or through out the day. I read a lot and I assume that the higher you go in price, the less chance of making errors in choosing the right Robo cleaner. Good luck and go for it 👍🏼🙏🏼
They always say avoid but never give actual reasons. I have a Shark Ultra AI, works great, zero issues.
We have a German shedder in the house and our shark has been amazing (AI ultra). Virtually no issues with hair stuck in the brushes and always amazed how much is picked up after a session
I love my Shark AI Ultra. Honestly life changing if I want to be dramatic. I have a german shep and an american eskimo. I do have to clean the brush off daily because it will tangle with hair, but I don't mind doing that considering my floors are constantly hair free now. I have it on a schedule to run every morning at a set time, but I can also start it with the app even when I'm not home if. I can pick "no-go" zones and also pick specific spots for it to clean rather than the entire room. My only complaint is the tangled brush, but I have A LOT of dog hair between the two so I'm not too shocked...as long as I go and pop off the back and pull the hair out once a day I don't have any problems. My house is all hardwood so I can't give fair opinion on rug cleaning.
I have the shark ai ultra for 2 weeks and it's been good so far. I also didn't want to go with a mop version starting out. The shark does a good job, I was surprised how well it did, actually, bc I was skeptical that a robot vac could be strong enough.we have a long haired cat and a large shedding dog in those rooms full time and a German shepherd is in there sometimes, too. It has made a huge difference in the daily cleanliness, beforehand there were tumbleweeds of fluff everywhere along with the occasional scattering of cat litter and regular human dirt that we track around. Idk if it's better than the others , but I'm very happy with it.
That’s the only thing; I had one too and it worked good.
Good unpopular opinion apparently. I had a coworker that would vacuum without glasses and miss half the floor. I feel the same way about robot vacuums I currently have the top of the line shark with ai and can’t it to work reliably, maybe I don’t have the best setup. I kinda prefer pulling out my shark, or Dyson and knowing for a fact it’s clean.
