Based on 1 year's data from Mar 17, 2026 How it works
i have a shark with a bin it dumps to and that has beeeennnn peerfect for bunny nuggets and hair. maaaayve once in a blue moon i have to clean out the hair from the rollers, but once a month or two i dump the large bin. way more convenient than doing it once a day or so. also maps out the floor plan and i can turn it on/off from my phone https://a.co/d/8Ty6ELu
My wife and I just got this one and it's been great so far. https://a.co/d/05vTU4Dt
I have the Shark AV2501S. $550 on Amazon. Does a great job picking up dog hair. Only needs emptied like once a month.
Hi Amanda. Thank you so much for all of your research and testing these in a real environment. I've stood by Shark and have loved it when I got my new model Jan 2024, but after three units in as many years, third strike you're out. I see the consensus here is Dreame or Roborock so I'm on day two of researching your posts here while utilizing ChatGPT and honestly, I have no idea what I want based on so many options out there, but I don't want to break the bank on this either. I want to get the best deal I can for Prime/sale, ideally would like to stay around $600ish give or take, but I need something reliable as we live in the AZ desert with 1800 sqft of LVP/tile, four humans consistantly on the go, two dogs (pitty and yorkiepoo with their dog door), and a long haired hamster who gets bedding all over the house. I appreciate all of your help.
I love my shark. I've had it for 3 years and no issues. I copied the whole description...lol..."Shark AV2501AE AI Robot Vacuum with XL HEPA Self-Empty Base, Bagless, 60-Day Capacity, LIDAR Navigation, Perfect for Pet Hair, Compatible with Alexa, Wi-Fi Connected, Carpet & Hard Floor, Black"...I got mine off Amazon
That’s the only thing; I had one too and it worked good.
After three years, I just had to get rid of our shark AI becasue our pup had an accident, and well the rest is history. I loved our shark and while I'm inclined to purchase the same one again, I'm wondering if there is something better for no more than $500.
I had our bagless Shark for three years with no issues
My home sellers gifted me their shark AI Vac. This is my first robot so nothing to compare it with but he is truly life changing. I have 4 dogs and a cat. LVP floors throughout with a few area rugs. I schedule “Lurch” to clean the whole house daily in the app. There is also an option to matrix clean rooms which I use for the area rugs a few times a week. He has been hard at work for 6 months. Does a great job with minimal intervention needed. As you can imagine with so many pets the 60 day dustbin fills up in days. I’m amazed by how much dirt is collected and how clean the house stays. I do clean and use the stick vacuum weekly to get areas the robot can’t do, behind doors and under some of the furniture. Really minimal dirt and hair found. Prior to the robot missing one day of sweeping or vacuuming would result in dog hair tumbleweeds and even when I did manage to keep up daily tasks the weekly deep clean was a lot. Considering upgrading to a mopping robot and like the shark enough to consider its newest model. The plain vacuum is often available on Amazon for less than 300 dollars
Robot vacuum was life changing. 4 big dogs and a cat. shark AI with self empty bin. It amazes me just how much filth this thing picks up. I manually clean once a week, have a bissel pet vacuum that seems to work fine for places the robot can’t go
Good unpopular opinion apparently. I had a coworker that would vacuum without glasses and miss half the floor. I feel the same way about robot vacuums I currently have the top of the line shark with ai and can’t it to work reliably, maybe I don’t have the best setup. I kinda prefer pulling out my shark, or Dyson and knowing for a fact it’s clean.
What about a Shark Matrix? They self empty and hold a lot of dirt and do a good job cleaning. I have the Shark AI (which is $279 on amazon) and I love it. Dustbin is big and no bag required, super easy to dump. It has a few filters that you need to find and clean, but I really like that too. It's got some HEPA stuff. It works hard and doesn't freak out too often; the app is pretty solid.
I use two mid-grade robots to keep my main floor clean and I rarely haul out my old manual vacuum. My Shark AI is loud, but a total workhorse. No mopping. The Yeedi cube I have mops and cleans- poorly at best. You're looking at the models I am. The Yeedi parent brand is Ecovacs, just for reference. I loved my oldest Yeedi, it was super tough. I'm hesitant to invest in another Yeedi, but people do love them! They probably got better since my last purchase. Roborock S8 (MaxVUltra) is the other one I've looked closely at... but sometimes people say not worth the cost. Investing $999 in a vacuum is a big deal! The Eureka J15 looks cool. The Dreme X40 is the best discounted price on Amazon right now. As the robots get better, I really want one that vacuums and mops well. I have kids, cats and dogs, plus boys who cheat and don't take their boots off when I'm not home. I work a ton, so I really want something I can set and monitor from my office while I'm away.
I love my older Shark AI for vacuuming. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and that thing is amazing, and tough. I have a new i3 and it still can’t touch the capacity the Shark has for vacuuming.
I LOVE my old Shark AI. It's a vacuum only and still cleans better than my new fancy robot. I love how big the bin is and that I don't have bags. I am also a 'zero waste' person as much as possible. Wash and reuse the HEPA filter.
I'm still using it. I was really hoping the 3i P10 Ultra would get me down to one robot, but I can't seem to quit the shark. It is not smart, but it is good.
