I just gotten myself Xiaomi X20 Pro.. living in an apartment size of 112sqm with no kids but 4 furkids.. took +-50mins to vacuum or mop the whole house, at which when it return to the OMNI it still have more than 50% of battery.. which is a wow factor for me.. so far it has been doing wonders though there were some corners not covered but nah im not that particular as its quite expected to most robot vacuum due to their limitations.. but for the price range of $405(got it during sales), im really contented.. 🙃🙂

I bought one of those ~2 months ago and it’s been great so far. I have cats so my tip for you is to clean under the robot after the first few times you run it to see how much fur/hair got stuck under it. I have a pretty big place, so I clean after every run. Other than that, be careful not to vacuum over wet spots, mine tried to vacuum in a place that I had spilled the cats water and it ended up ruining the trash bag, it’s super inexpensive and easy to change. You should probably buy a few spare trash bags and other parts, you can find some kits online for sale

Mopping depends on how well it is implemented. Half a centimeter is nothing for most robot vacuums. A centimeter tall carpet will be fine. 1. Yes 2. Most combo robots have the option of vacuuming the carpets first before the mop gets wetted. 3. You can also set it to avoid carpets or ask it to avoid those specific carpets by drawing a no go zone in there. 4. Depends on what you opt into. Visual data collected by robots with an RGB camera are generally processed on the device and aren’t transmitted to the server. If you opt into the robot taking photos of what it deems to be obstacles or taking photos and videos of your pets, the photos and videos it takes will be uploaded into the cloud. Generally, this is encrypted information. By default, these features are disabled. Remote video viewing is also disabled by default. For those privacy conscious , I do not recommend ecovacs. https://www.kaspersky.com.au/blog/ecovacs-robot-vacuums-hacked-in-real-life/34514/ LDS information collected by the infrared camera and infrared light will be uploaded to the cloud whenever it is on so the map is continuously updated and you can check the live location of the robot when it is cleaning. EU customers will have their data stored in a server in Germany. For those very privacy conscious and tech-savvy, Valetudo is an option. This is an irreversible process that will make your robot run locally. Good cost effective models are the Xiaomi X20 Pro and the X20 Max. The best top of the line combo models at the top of your budget that I’d recommend would be the MOVA Z50 Ultra (€999) if you want a robot with a track type roller mop that mops similar to an upright wet dry vacuuming mop machine. This is currently the best robot for those with mostly hard floors. It can also clean spills well too but it’ll take longer than mopping yourself.

Get a good wet dry vacuum (which really should be called mops) for deep cleaning and a nice combo that can run everyday. Xiaomi is a popular budget choice if you’re thinking about the QRevo. I’d look at the Xiaomi X20 Pro.

The cleaning time really depends on your home’s layout. I also have a heavily shedding long-haired corgi and I run it to vacuum first before mopping twice a day while he’s at home. He doesn’t mind the robot at all, even when it’s bumping against him. My robot runs on a schedule and I can choose the rooms I want to be cleaned first. I also set my robot to clean its mops once every 10sqm which is the best mop washing frequency I’ve found so it doesn’t get dirtier over time. The dreame TriCut brush works great at not getting tangled. My robot is the Xiaomi MiJia M30S and the closest model in the EU is the X20 Max. The X20 Max comes with its own anti tangle brush that users say work fine too. For the robots, I’d recommend either the X10+, X20 Pro, or the X20 Max as they’ll be more water efficient than the X20+. For voice command, you can either link it to a smart home assistant of your choice (Google home or Siri) with a shortcut. Some robots have onboard voice assistants but these are more expensive.

Only the X20+ and the X20 use room temperature air to dry the mops. The X10+, X20 Pro, and the X20 Max all use hot air to dry the mops. All robots have bags in the base station as the bag protects the base station’s vacuum fan motor from dust clogging it, unlike bagless base stations which can be damaged by debris collected. For consumables (TriCut brush, mops, and dustbag), get them from AliExpress or Taobao (my preferred method if your region is supported by Taobao and shipping isn’t too expensive). It’s much cheaper and will be the same (if it isn’t counterfeit).

The Xiaomi X20 Pro can be considered for 549 if you don't need an RGB camera for obstacle avoidance. It works with the Dreame anti-tangle TriCut brush which works great for fur in my home.

r/RobotVacuumsI am back… I need your advice on a robot vacuum for my home.

For a smart combo: Dreame’s L40S Pro Ultra won’t have great battery life (a reviewer found a rate of 3% per square meter) as it uses the same power hungry computer chip as the X50 ultra but the self cleaning capabilities it has (cleaning the dustbin’s filter which most other robots can’t do, and a much better self cleaning mop washboard) with the fur compression feature it has when it vacuums which is great for heavy shedders means it’s worth the tradeoff. If you want better battery life with the same features, the L50 Pro Ultra has a 6400 mah battery like the X50 Ultra. The obstacle avoidance on these two models and the X50 should be the same as the X40 ultra now since it’s pretty mature. For a budget choice, I’d look at Xiaomi’s X20 Pro or the X20 Max. They won’t have as good obstacle avoidance as it only uses structured light but the prices (£399 and £499 respectively) can’t be beat for its quality.

r/RobotVacuumsOpinions on Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2?

The Xiaomi S20+ (€299) will be able to vacuum and mop well but will have the same issue of trying to eat everything. Sadly there’s no autoempty dock. There’s also the X20 Pro (€539) which has a base station which will autoempty the dustbin, refill the water’s internal water tank, dampen, wash, and dry the mops. Obstacle avoidance performance is generally the same. Most robots in your price range will use only structured light for obstacle avoidance and this is generally worse than RGB camera enabled robots (software is the main factor deciding if obstacle avoidance is good for RGB enabled robots)

Xiaomi X20 Pro or the X20 Max are good choices! But it seems they only have one year of warranty. Dreame and MOVA now offer 3 years of warranty.

I find the build quality to be rather sturdy in my own experience.

r/RobotVacuumsAm I choosing correctly?

No it really isn’t. I think the worst warranty lengths are in markets like Hong Kong and Macao as all the major brands sell at the same prices as the EU but only offer one year of warranty (dreame, roborock, ecovacs, and Xiaomi all do this).

The Xiaomi X20 Pro is the same price and will do much better since it has a lidar tower for better navigation and can dry mops with warm air to prevent mildew, which I recommend for damp climates like the UK.

If you want a vacuum only robot, I’d look at the AEG RX9-2-4ANM https://www.robocleaners.com/en/aeg-rx9-2-4anm.html (Not an affiliate link). This robot won't ao very well tor dealing with hair and fur on the brush roller but this is the best robot vacuum if you're only considering vacuuming performance (along with the Dyson VisNav which is considerably more expensive but the thicker roller means it’s less prone to tangles). If you want an autoempty station, I’d look at the roborock S8+, Roborock Q5/Q8 Max+, or the eufy E20. If you want a combo, I'd recommend the Dreame L10S Ultra Gen 2 (599), Xiaomi X20 Max (539), the Xiaomi X20 Pro (439), the Xiaomi X10+ (399) as these robots are better suited for larger homes (<60-100sqm) as it has an internal water tank so it won't need to constantly go back to the base station to clean the mops. The Xiaomi X20+ lacks an onboard water tank and must rewet the mops and can become dry when mopping before it resets it. This is generally less water efficient which is why I recommend the previous models. I’d recommend the Xiaomi X20+ for homes smaller than 50-60sqm. All of these robots are compatible with the dreame anti-tangle TriCut brush which works great with my long haired corgi’s fur and long hair in my home.

This was a nice purchase for me. I also got it for sale. Tech is nice hardware is nice. Sensors does it's job - always checks the corners. Vacuum could have been a bit more stronger for the carpets. The new version has hair tangle remover, this doesn't. That's a good add to have in the latest model. 1 year now, keeping the house tidy - I only hard clean my place one a week every other day the robo vac does it.

X20+ is missing hot drying with makes a difference imo, check Xiaomi X20 pro or Max both in your price range(check Xiaomi official store), seems like Curv S5X is around 520 on PcComponentes too, it's above your 450 euros top but might be well worth it in the long run.

Interesting, I was investigating and the P10 is not sold in Europe, you say it is the same model as the Dreame L40 Ultra? I also have the Xiaomi Vacuum X20 Pro and some Roborock models like the Qrevo on the list.
