"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. After 24 hours, I see 0 hair stuck. Not one. ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."

"The unit was an upgrade from a Roomba S9. That unit did a good job of vacuuming but was very prone to having problems with obstacles. For example, it would launch itself up onto the circular rod -like bases of several of my chairs and become stuck there. They Roborock 10R correctly recognized all of the bases as something to avoid. Some of them get labeled as chair bases and others simply as wires. It has avoided every obstacle."
"In terms of obstacles, that‘s pretty much the main reason why I added the 10R to my other floor where my cat and his toys are, it has great obstacle avoidance. ... I wanted some of those features, especially the obstacle avoidance, since I run it on schedule when I‘m not at home only and I really don‘t want it to get stuck on some small cat toy. Works like a charm but it‘s 400€ more."
"Saros 10r is worth buying if you truly need perfect obstacle avoidance ... If you will more often start it when you are out and don't want to check the house before you leave or especially if your pet is home (never know what your pet is up to all day...), I would go with Saros10r, because in this scenario you certainly will be happy for its better obstacle avoidance ... I have developed a habit to check the app afterwards which cords/wires and cat toys it avoided this time (I let it take pics) - I am always surprised to see cat toys in places that I never saw them before and where they also aren't anymore once I get home..."

"It’s is SO MUCH more quiet than the s7 it ramped up the suction power from 4000 to 19000 yet I can let it clean my office room while being in a call now."
"believe it’s much quieter than my S8."
"Runs much quieter, my kid is okay with 10R's running noise."

"have furniture that it can fit under while the curv can't. ... For us the answer was "Never lift the couch in a team effort ever again to clean under? Please take our money!!!""
"It's never been this clean under our beds"
"Somehow manages to fit underneath my super low bed, which I struggled to clean myself with a regular vacuum cleaner."

"Honestly if you dont need low clearance, the price gap is not justified and I would keep the Dreame."
"I'm not highly sold that the Saros are $700 better."
"I don‘t really think paying over 1000€ is good in terms of price/performance if you don‘t really really need a specific feature. ... If you don‘t need the chassis to lift to get over a ledge, automatic cleaning solution adding, the slim 8cm design or the very good obstacle avoidance, then the other models will perform just the same."

"The Saros also managed to get itself stuck under one of our sofas and got scratched in the process (the back of the sofa has a higher opening, it tried to exit through the sides which are lower than 8 cm)."
"My Saros 10 got stranded on it twice in the first week so I made it a no go zone. ... Before I made the no-go zone It would sometimes climb onto it on flatter edges, but then it could get stuck and give up. ... I even bought it a little ramp but it knocked it out of position and trapped itself."
"As someone who has owned both a 10R and Z70, I died laughing at the 10R winning the OA category. What a joke. It has worse OA in normal household lighting than my S8. Maybe they should stop testing everything under ridiculously bright studio lights on the perfect light colored floor."

"on all the dirty water tank stinks"
"the dust bin design getting stuck really quick"
"Water tank is small so you will be filling more frequently than some other models."

"My only real gripe with mine is that it’s not a very powerful vacuum at default settings. ... The 10R seems to struggle with picking up heavier, aerodynamic debris like rice grains or seeds, on its default settings."
"the vacuuming ability of the $1500 Saros 10R was so poor compared to my S8s, the I only use the Saros 10R for mopping."
"improving on the lack of performance from our Saros 10R on rugs and carpets would certainly be great! ... I bet your S5 will do a better job vacuuming rugs and carpets than my $1500 Saros 10R!!!"
Got the same deal on their website. 899€ in german Roborock Store and then a 10% Discount Code via the "spinning wheel" in the landing page.
Bang for buck - mova p10 ultra Money is no object/I want the best - roborock Sara's 10r or dreame x50 ultra Budget/cheapest option changes alot based on sales. Just the other week I bought a refurbished L10s ultra for $240 Honorable mention - the new eufy e28 can be had for $800. I think its worth considering because the roller mop system they have going seems to do really good for mopping in general.
I actually have two now!! My older Q5+ And my new Saros 10..both are excellent!! I have had the Q5 for many years and just decided to upgrade…so I use the Q5 upstairs and the Saros 10 downstairs!! Can’t go wrong with a Roborock
I bought the X11, flow w/ compact dock, & the saros 10 w/ the drain & fill station. Have had then all for about 2 months & don’t really have complaints with any. Wanted to test them all & the flow & X11 edge out the 10 imho. The best feature for me on the X11 is the bagless dust bin. Have a few dogs so it makes really easy to dump out the dirt & put it back in vs getting a new bag putting it in etc. In regards to your concerns: So far it hasn’t gotten stuck but I also added invisible walls in previous trouble areas for other models but durning mapping it had no issues. No issue finding the charging station I haven’t noticed it randomly stopping & going to a different room. This could be user error where the room has been split & the user selected a different order for the rooms to be cleaned. When I first had it map the house, I have a large room with some kitchen islands that the robot auto segmented as a different room. I didn’t immediately fix it & when I let it clean it did that “room” first & the rest of the room third after cleaning another room second as that was the order I had set in the app. There are some settings you can play with in terms of mop cleaning consistency & emptying the dust bin, I have dogs so I have it return multiple times a cleaning session. Ironically with the X11’s fast charging most of the time it returns to the dock at the end of the cleaning cycle only missing 10% because of its frequent top ups (which are optional). No navigational issues to note.
they make them with split tangle free rollers now I would go to the ROBOROCK site and look at the features before you decide Especially in regards to the hair getting tangled in the rollers... there is a difference between models Also, that particular feature you are asking for where the little sweeper jumps down into the corner and grabs the hair out and also the mop does the same thing. There are several models that have that feature and other models that are cheaper that do not. So definitely do your research before buying Another thing I'm not so sure about you getting it from Costco. I would go to Amazon and go to ROBOROCK online shop before you do anything from Costco but that's just me. Costco in those stores buy these things in bulk and they sit in a warehouse.... if you order something straight from ROBOROCK or online at Amazon and in ROBOROCK ships it... you know it's pretty factory fresh. But this is true of all the discount big box stores.... They cut deals with the manufacturers for large quantities of a particular model, even renaming the model.... be careful of dealing with those big box stores. I had the original Q Revo I ran it for a year and I did have to every weekend take the single roller out and get the hair off the ends no big deal just something you learned to do every Saturday I have since given it to my daughter because it works so good and bought myself a SOROS 10R ... partly because it has the same great mops as the QRevo and partly because it fits under my cabinets, nice and tight and has swing outs that go into the corners and gets all the junk out and partly because it has a split roller system that does not send the hair out to the ends, but groups it back toward the middle where it gets sucked into the dust bin My two dogs and my wife's hair are no longer a problem ;)
u/JustinP_RTINGS I went down the rabbithole after you posted this incredibly helpful post. Pulled the trigger on the RoboRock Saros 10R. In your experience, what is the best option for detergent? On Amazon you can buy the stuff from other brands. Some users come up with their own concoctions. The thing is: I want the best result and if possible at the nicest possible prices. I also have a follow-up question regarding 3rd party spareparts from Amazon/AliExpress for the Saros 10R? Am I gonna damage stuff going for non-RoboRock parts and detergent?
Can't, not available where I live yet…but very happy with my 10R that we had to wait months for the local release.
Saros 10R! Paid €850 in Europe on sale. Wouldn’t want anything else.
The detection seems to be really good it very smartly detects even pieces of paper which can make it struggle to work. I am personally very surprised https://preview.redd.it/5u77b3827p1f1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55a6887c752d9f3a92e430484f325e15c4a6d6d8
It's definitely an upgrade to the standard dragging a wet cloth. Flagship Saros 10 is using vibrarise too but its a bit more updated and has more vibration and downward pressure. Not sure how big of a difference in terms of performance it is compared to the S8. If you can find S8 for a good price then I think you wont be disappointed I also think when choosing between rotating and Vibration mops its about preference and what type of floor you have. The rotating mops are using more water I believe and could have a tendency to leave wet streaks on floors
Its kinda funny my old S8 could suck up heavier debris than Saros 10 I dont know if its because of dual roller system but high Pa doesnt mean anything in reality
