Shark - Matrix Series

I have 3 dogs. I just bought my first robot vacuum. I got the shark matrix plus . I honestly didn't expect a lot. Little guy is amazing. Does a great job with edges. Gets all the fur and mops too. I caught a sale got it for $200 . It navigates under my 8 seat dining table beautifully. I don't have carpet have tile and wood and it's great. It does a good job with my rugs too but I do.tuck the tassells under for the one rug with tassels.

I use a Shark Matrix. It self empties and has a lot of features for its price point. It uses both bumpers and LiDAR to navigate around and vacuums up GSD and Lab fur really well.

We have two long hair cats and got the Shark Matrix and it’s been great! Three years now and no issues. You’ll need to clean its filters every month or so depending on how much you use it. We too have a shark, the AI Matrix Self Emptying one. We have two long hair cats that shed more than my husky growing up did. The amount of hair these cats shed daily is INSANE. I have a dog that never stops shedding. And I just got two cats. I have the Shark robot vacuum that self empties. I love it. I still vacuum every couple of days and get plenty of fur and dirt but I know it picks up its fair share because I empty the reservoir once every week or so and there is plenty in there. I can tell if it doesn’t run for a couple days because I will notice the floors not being as clean. I typically just have it run every day while I’m at work on a timer so I come home to fresh carpet lines. It’s worth spending a little more on these robot vacuums because the self emptying is huge, especially if you have square footage to cover. But it is also so much smarter than the older cheaper brand I had that would constantly get stuck and just bounce around the rooms willy-nilly. This one maps it out and covers all the floor space efficiently.

yes. we have three shibas and *had* two automatic vaccums until one of them succumbed from dog hair and the other one is literally on its last leg. highly recommend, as well as the shark vac/mop!

Same here. I have a Dyson animal that I use once a week. I run the self emptying shark matrix the days I don’t use the Dyson. I don’t have carpet though and that seems to help. When we had carpet it required more effort on my part.

I like our Shark Matrix. Low cost (relatively), no mop, no bags (empties into a removable plastic bin), and the app is decent. Have been running for a few months and it’s good. We have a dog also (medium hair length). Picks up the hair really well. The claim of 30-days before emptying is BS, as that’s based on a non pet hair household. I auto run it 3 times a week and empty maybe 1-2 times a week. Once every other week it will get stuck, but for the most part it handles the terrain and the thresholds, and jumps onto an area rug well. We also have some new rugs, so they are “shedding” a lot, which makes me empty more often. I think I got it for about $279 around the holidays, but have seen them lately in the low $300’s on Amazon.

That’s crazy. I’d hate that too. How old is it / what model. I’ve never had anything like that happen. I have had it stop because the roller needs clearing, which I now clean about once a week.

I would offer a couple of things. We have a medium length hairy dog. It’s whey we got a robovac, tbh. We got a shark matrix (not selling you this one, just commenting on features I think are important to understand). We’ve had one a few months and it’s a life changer, imho. Two features I’d look for in any vac are rollers that won’t tangle because they have some advanced feature of some sort, and a self emptying bin, not a bag, a bin. I didn’t realize what an advantage the bin would be, and lucked into this feature, because I wasn’t purposely shopping for it. Maybe bags last long and compact the do hair, idk. Our “30 day bin” has a little dirt and is full of a hair ball in a week. I’d ask folks with dogs how long bags last. I’d want to make sure they aren’t ripping through them at a cost you aren’t expecting. Other than that, I love having a robovac, no more hairballs floating all around the house. Enjoy.

I have the Shark that empties itself. Only does one floor and mixed hard wood and rugs. Empties itself twice while cleaning and does a pretty good job.

Have had the Shark Matrix for a year now. Works fine. App is not the best, but the bot vacuums and mops the floor pretty well.

Not the original commenter, but I had a cheap no name one and two sharks. Those three each lived about 18 months. I do use them heavily (at least 3x a week) but love them so much. I wouldn’t pay more than $300 for one that vacuums and mops with a station that cleans it. But that seems to be the sweet spot for me. Right now I have a shark and a yeedi. The yeedi app often stops working but the cleaning itself is fine.
