"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"The investment in an exped is worth it, especially the air bag to blow them up is genius."
"It uses an inflator bag and inflates easily/quickly."
"It can inflate the mattress in just a couple of minutes ... the best part is it can deflate absolutely all of the air out of the mattress, and it can be easily rolled up into its included storage sack."

"I had a Big Agnes for a decade. ... It sprung a leak on a trip this time last year. ... I found the leak on a seam and called to ask about repairing it. ... They asked for a pic, which I sent as well as a pic of the valve cut off (per their instructions) and my new pad arrived in a few days. No charge. ... I’ll never buy a pad from a different manufacturer again."
"Got these and never had a leak in 3 years now and I sleep through the night."
"Bought my Big Agnes pad for $100 at REI ten years ago and still going strong. ... Not a single leak."

"I kept feeling them on and thinking they would fall off my ears at any moment, it would distract me from my run."
"I find I can't wear them for more than an hour without my ears hurting."
"Only downside is the faux leather ear foams are absolute garbage out the box. ... Had to get a cooling gel ones on Amazon for like $15"

"Personally I was not able to sleep comfortably on the Exped MegaMat Lite, or its siblings (Dura/Versa/Ultra). ... A through-line in my testing of these is the vertical baffling: I regularly wake up and find my arm is numb. ... But in my adulthood I've probably maximum only got about two hours of sleep at a time on a design like these."
"At some point, you can't put more air inside, but the pad remains pretty soft. ... When I sleep on my side, my hip is almost touching the ground"
"Even on that bad boy i can not find good rest. ... I felt like an idiot having that thickness and pricey pad, and still not being satisfied and enjoying the experience. ... I have a couple of pressure points on my ribcage that actually is the biggest comfort issue for me i think."

"My new fucking Sea to Summit Ultralite decided holding air is not its thing despite very careful handling and making sure it wasn't left inflated during the day."
"the "self-inflate" part is a lie ... Well I haven't and it doesn't. It just sits there."
"Sea to Summit ultralight pad had nothing but punctures (or material defects) for me over the years."

"Dropped about 9ozs and kicked myself the rest of the way down the trail for being so gullible. ... I could really feel those 9ozs off my back."
"For pack-in or hiking its FAR too heavy."
"Heavy af though. ... In general as a 2.8kg backpacking tent it's considered very heavy though, especially if you're taking days of food and other gear."
How much air did you have in it? I put about 70% air in and find it comfier than most mattresses with a good pillow. I was in between the two but saw the exped on offer and saw it was thicker with a higher r value. Glad I went for it now - not that I’ve used the neoloft but very comfy on this. What do you go for out of interest and how do you find it? As will look at getting my partner one at some point but would be a good excuse for both….
Measure your tent before getting the right size. I have a small tent, and the bigger pads don't fit. Everyone has recommended the Exped MegaMat. (There are 3 thicknesses.) It has a mix of foam and air. I tried it in store and it's definitely better insulated than their dupes. REI just started their sale today, and I'm going to get mine.
I think you may need the thin foam layer on top. The most well reviewed one is the Exped MegaMat. I got that and I am able to sleep a lot better now. I'm a side sleeper.
I have a small 3 person tent. I wanted to go with the LXW due to the extra width, but two wouldn't fit in my tent. The MW is fine. Due to the thickness, it was fine for me to side sleep (which I could never do with my previous lightweight pad).
I have it, I still prefer my exped megamat lite 12 lxw, but the Neoloft is smaller and lighter for backpacking and only a little less comfortable.
I all ready got Thermarest Xtherme NXT and Exped MegaMat Lite 12 but want also a self inflating one.
Exped MegaMat if you want a foam mat or Thermarest NeoLoft if you want an airmat. I would say those are the most comfy pads on the market right now depending on if you want foam or air.
Therm-a-Rest NeoLoft if your a back or stomach sleeper or Exped MegaMat Ultra if your a side sleeper. But if you have the space in the kayak i would go with the regular Exped MegaMat nothing beats them when it comes to comfort not even your bed at home almost 😉. Megaamat is nice. Don’t sacrifice comfort over a few dollars, just save up more. I did a cross the country drive years back and never got good rest sleeping in the car on some blankets and lack luster pads. I have the smaller mega mat and like it because I can adjust the air pressure which changes the firmness without it sagging like a normal under-inflated air mattress would act. The local stores by me have them on display so you can lay on them to give them a try. If you’re in La / OC area you can check mine out
For camping, we use exped megamats (extra long/wide)--and I find them super comfortable even though I have back issues.
There are generics that are almost as good. I have the lxw and wish mine was smaller. I've carried it a bit but just a bit smaller would be nice. I found mine unused but on marketplace.
Once you go Megamat, you never go back. And you might want to use it at home as well.
Two x-large expeds and you'll wake up happy.
Any Exped Med-Wide pads fit the bill. Incredibly comfy to boot. They are more expensive but a good nights sleep it worth it imo. Best investment I made for camping. I got my Deep Sleep for just over $100 on sale.
An investment for your sleep is always worth it. I have the XLW megamat and I’ve used it in a pinch for extra unexpected guests, camping, car naps.. its so worth it
