"The other two have a slippery surface that makes the last 1" on each side unusable since you slide off it anyway. ... the slipperiness is annoying for me since it just allows my leg to slide back down/off the pad (this is why I tried and ultimately moved away from the Nemo)."

"But what makes me love the Exped Megamat is that the top layer feels like it stretches, sp the pad contours to your body like memory foam, just less thick"

"The toggles won stop a weighted foot or knee from dropping in between the mattresses but when sleeping it s not really noticeable."

Comfortable, I have one now. Before I had a Nemo pad I returned and honestly, kind of wish I had kept it. Only downside was it took forever to inflate. Also, these things go on sale/get returned all the time. I’d look for one second hand if possible.
NEMO Roamer Sleeping Pad. I dont know how but this 4” thick air mattress feels like sleeping on a regular bed. It’s hands down the best choice that I’ve found.
The answer is exped megamat or the Nemo roamed. Expensive, but as comfortable as it can get.
My Nemo pad is more comfortable than my Purple bed 😂
Nemo all the way!! They are luxury and pack up so small! I’ve been pregnant and camped with them and they are superb!
Up vote for the Nemo. Most used wedding present.
All through the summer I slept on my Nemo roamer XL wide on a cot out on the back porch because it was hot in the house and I like looking at the stars. It really is that comfortable.
Just used the Nemo for the first time last weekend on the AT, slept on my side half the night and it was a night and day difference compared to my old zrest pad. So much more comfy. Held air incredibly, you can blow it up and make it very firm or leave it a little softer. Didn’t leak at all overnight. Wasn’t cold at all either but it was only in the 40s, so not a good test yet on that end. No experience with others listed
Nemo Roamer wide sleeping pad. Camping is so much better with a comfy sleeping pad.
As others have said, an exped megamat duo is probably the best option out there but it's pricey. There's a few from other brands that are a similar design (soft top, filled with foam so labeled as self inflating, etc.). Alternatives would be Nemo Roamer, Sea-To-Summit Comfort Deluxe, REI Camp Dreamer, MEC Reactor. The foam filling and soft top make them way more comfortable than the massive intex matresses or the one you have posted even though they are significantly thinner.
