eufy Security - Video Doorbell S220

Just setup a bunch of the Eufy stuff at my son's house. Very impressed with it, and during Prime days it was very reasonbly priced.

I love my Eufy doorbell. The battery lasts me about 4-5 months on a single charge. We have fairly cold winters, but it does okay maintaining charge during colder months too. I have the older 220 model but it works great. You get notified of low battery in the app. When that happens I charge it for a few hours and it’s ready to go again

I can say that the movement *sometimes* fails with me also specially with my doorbell, but I've been happy with Eufy overall. However I wanted to upgrade my doorbell and I don't want the E340. I wanted something 2025 but .. there's nothing. Eufy stores data on an SD card on the ringer. Works well and no subscription

Same situation here, I was actually surprised that it worked okay through this winter. There were a couple real frigid days that killed the batteries, but overall it worked better than I expected. Only complaint is it can be a bit slow to detect people at the door - Apple TV puts up a thumbnail with who’s at the door, but it usually comes up as they’re walking away 😆 but I suspect that is an issue with my wifi, and not the doorbell itself.

Another former Eufy owner here! Mine was rechargeable and wireless, used the hardwired homebase inside for storage. I moved to a flat where I don't need it so now my parents greatly enjoy watching the postman drop off parcels, it works really well for their needs especially the limited detection area as they have a footpath outside

Eufy battery does not last in our winters. The wired version is also unreliable.

I used the Eufy Video Doorbell 2K for a while and found it pretty solid. It's wired, so no battery hassle, and it delivers clear live viewing and night vision.

I like the focal length on the first one for this use case much better. My $35 Eufy 2k cameras are on par or better than both of them.
