I got the Eufy S330. It has an additional downwards pointing package camera and can connect to the existing doorbell wiring for power and to use the chime. You'll just have to make sure the doorbell transformer is the right size. It's an easy swap if it isn't. The big thing I liked about Eufy is that it isn't cloud hosted and there's no subscription. Just buy the hardware and be done with it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QFK3JWS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I did a lot of Reddit research and I also went with Eufy! About two weeks in with the S330 (hardwired) and no complaints here.
eufy Security Video Doorbell (Wired) S330 with Chime
It uses your existing doorbell wiring, although I did have to upgrade my doorbell transformer.
I've just started like you, also in the UK Ive gone for Eufy S330 doorbell, Eufy S3 pro cameras. They're great. No wiring, battery/solar power, night vision on the cameras is unreal I've got an Eufy X10 Omni pro vacuum and again, can't fault it I've just setup my home assistant, and found community integrations for all of them. The robot vacuum is pretty complicated but doable if you take your time.
I will say you need the eufy e340 floodlight camera will be the best choice. As for doorbell there are a couple of options E340 doorbell (has dual cameras and works of battery or wired and home base compatible), C31 (single camera, wired) and S330 (dual camera, wired only). The main difference between e340 and s330 doorbell is how they detect motion, capability in detection and preroll. I will suggest looking at "lifehackster" YouTube channel to see this comparison. Dude is the best resource when it comes to explaining and learning about eufy products. Vast majority are just selling you the product without good analysis. Here is a link of his comparison between the two https://youtu.be/hDK6uZE3ltc?si=oCrvO_kLFBBwuPfk His comparison is the reason I am holding off from switching my ring doorbell because I don't want to compromise on features between the current options and hoping Eufy will release a wired version with all the features similar to what I have on my ring doorbell 2. I do have a lot of Eufy cameras, doorlocks and the homebase 3. Homebase give you an added bonus of AI features from improved recognition to storage options (16gb standalone, and can be increased with a hard drive). I didn't talk too much about the floodlight because the E340 is the best they have, you can also watch a review on the YouTube channel. One thing about Eufy is you need to monitor it routinely, it's not something you get set and forget like ring. There are issues that arise and you have to be patient with them and work through them. I don't recommend Eufy to people who like to set and forget and hope the video will be there when they need it especially if you add the homebase. But if you are tech savvy and check your cameras routinely you will catch issue and be able to address them.
I have to be battery only and went from the Dual battery wRadar capability to the E340 battery w my Homebase3. All I can say is the E340 may be great for the battery swaps BUT the prior is 1000 % better for true detection. The swappable batteries run out so fast (
I think the main thing to consider is that the S330 requires you to also have a Homebase 2 or 3, the other 2 can stand alone. Additionally, the others have removable batteries which means you can buy a spare and swap it out when it needs recharging without losing use of the doorbell while the battery charges. I have the E340 and the extra camera is useful if not essential. If you are planning on getting other cameras as well you might be considering getting the Homebase 2 or 3 anyway (I would recommend the 3 as it allows for expandable storage up to 16Tb) which allows you to store your recordings away from the camera(s)
I have the T8213 which I believe is the e330 and it doesn't work well with the Google Nest Hub. You would probably have better experience with the Eufy Smart Display but I don't have one to speak from experience. I have the Echo Show 15 and the Eufy chime and live view works great on it.
I was in a similar situation to yours , the want of everything to be in the same ecosystem. Already had the eufy and loved it (the dual camera one) but really wanted homekit compatible, so I returned it and got the circle…The circle sucks, and pulling up video feedback on HomeKit sucks also. If I could go back I’d keep my Eufy and ignore the Logitech .
Some do. Eufy and Unifi offer dual camera options that they typically call a "package cam" I think the bigger issue is angle and height. A camera will have a wider and further view when you can get ya boi Pythagoras in on the game and angle that camera down. So it's hard to have a doorbell which must by it's very nature be lower down to see people and let them press the button.
