Logitech - Circle View

Definitely mesh WiFi. And running Ethernet’s. God I would have that in the walls if I could. I have a 5400 and have 5 Eero nodes and hiding wires is a pain. 11 HomePods and they work okay as intercom system and they connect with the Logitech circle doorbell

I had two Logitechs, bought in 2022. One died in 2023 and Logitech sent me a replacement that was refurbished. This year both Logitech units started to have the glass face delaminate and both units overheated to the point where they would not come back online. Even when the Logitech units were working, they were slow to load video and late to notify on motion events and doorbell presses. I have no experience with the Wemo product but I cannot recommend the Logitech units. I replaced the Logitech units with the Aqara G410 doorbell and the Aqara has been great.

I’ve got the Logitech Circle View doorbell cam, and initially it had a few hiccup in going offline. It hasn’t happened in over a year. I also have had the Schlage Encode Plus which worked well with HK, but I didn’t like the styles. I currently have the Yale Assure Plus and love its design. It has worked flawlessly with zero hiccups for the last year. I also have a Level bolt in my garage man door and since it works with Matter now, it has been bulletproof.

I love my circle view.

I’m using mine without an old doorbell kit. Just needs power. But I also wouldn’t buy one in 2025, I’ve had it for years it’s getting on a bit.

Big fan of the Logitech Circle View Doorbell. I switched from Ring about a year or so ago when they came out and just told their user base that they were going to just start charging people to record video. Made the move to Logitech, solely because it uses iCloud to store your video. IMO, if you’re an iCloud user (if you have an iPhone, you really should be) you’re just going to utilize the space you already pay for. Since then, I’ve been very happy with it. It works as expected. Does what it should. It doesn’t require any additional membership/subscription.

Doesn’t matter even need to be a “warm” climate. Mine will go offline in 60° temps. (Yes, direct sun, no way around it). Installed as a test case for a future home build.

Yep same, years with no issue. You can get them cheap used on eBay.

I loved my Logitech. It was really good. Overheating in summer became a real issue and eventually led to its death I think. I live in Virginia and house faces east. It would still cook in the sun before noon and go offline for a couple of hours. Would usually reset itself. Then after a while I would have to go reset it. Then one day I couldn’t reset it… I’d still recommend it if you’re not in a warm climate with direct sunlight to the doorbell
