"Back to back in my opinion they blow the airpods pro 2 out of the water in clarity, separation, and punch."
"these have the deepest, cleanest and "tumpiest" bass out there."
"The gemini 2s 5hz frequency response is incredible. Granted not audible, but you can feel it in certain music."

"Besides the center channel on Samsung is fantastic even on my Q800 which is not as good as the 990. It's so clear it's crazy, glass breaking in movies sounds real as well because of the center channel."
"blew me away with the level of detail it has ... nothing I've had even sounds remotely close ... none of them are even close to the Ambeo in terms of detail to the sound ... it's truly INCREDIBLE!!!"
"Sounds sooooo insanely polished & perfect it's almost scary how clean it sounds. ... If you strictly want the absolute cleanest sounding system, Ambeo Plus is the ONLY way to go!!"

"As far as the minimalist stage provided by a sound at footprint, dragon sounds like it’s making sounds from the corners of the room. The sound appears to come from old speakers that were left in place, like a visual prop."
"The rear speakers make a huge difference along with the upfiring speakers for Atmos content."
"our bedroom sounds like an imax theatre…"

"it's pretty much plug in, calibrate and play."
"pretty much plug and play since day one"
"My wife wanted to keep the room classy and minimalist, so we ended up trying some soundbars and opted to go with a Bose 900 and bass module 700. ... Clean looking install"

"For movies sonos and the lack of dts absolutely megasucks at every imaginable level. ... Sonos can't even play original audio content, dts, or lossless atmos. Sonos says it can take lossless atmos but from where? Not from a bluray player or a computer. There's no lossless audio on any streamed movie. Plus the tiny speakers, yes, sonos absolutely sucks for movies."
"Also the Bose soundbars don support DTS/DTS-HD (except the 700 which does lossy DTS core) so if you have blurays or use IMAX enhanced with a streaming service that audio will not work/ gets transcoded to lpcm."
"Bose only offers Dolby codec support (Digital, Digital plus, TrueHD and Atmos over TrueHD and DD+). ... if you watch Blurays or have a media server to watch lossless content then you won't have DTS support."

"the Arc without a sub sucks"
"the Sonos sounded nice but sounded like a soundbar big time. ... The Sonos arc system sounded really good, but it just didn't give me that same full cinematic experience in terms of depth and fullness."
"It is a HUGE improvement to just the sound bar. ... The app let me add my amp with bookshelf speakers as front left and right. Then it uses my OG Arc as a center channel (though other sounds do come out slightly) then I have two subs and 2 300s as rears."

"To be clear, the Aperion Audio setup I had completely obliterated my current setup, but it should given the cost, size build quality...etc."
"No it doesnt. it rolls of massively starting 65hz. ... at 60hz, you're already -10 db, which makes itvery muted compared to the rest. ... Anything under will be almost inexistant to human ears"
"none of them are even close to the Ambeo in terms of detail to the sound"

"the bose surrounds are dated as fck if you ever intend to expand."
Bose Soundbar 900 with rear speakers and sub. You won’t look back! Best soundbar that I have ever owned!
To be honest, I tried Sonos and the soundstage was way better in Bose. AdaptIQ configuration takes the sound experience to a different level!
I have the 900 with the bass 700, if I did it again I would do an actual 5.1. Hard to mimic the separation.
Bose soundbar 900 with my LG B4. Sound quality is great, but I frequently experience random audio dropouts. Unsure if it’s my soundbar or that I am running pass through all through my Xbox which is pretty notorious for having difficulties with full Dolby Atmos audio pass through Overall I’m at an 8 out of 10. Would be a 10 out of 10 but the audio dropping is super frustrating, especially since these devices are so expensive. I wish it would always just work!
BOSE 900- + BOSE 500 Sub, It's awesome
Bose sells their top line refurbished 900 or IQ soundbars under that price point. Comes like new, 90 day no questions return policy, and full warranty. The bose can further run any external subwoofer, so you can get the bar and an external sub for under $700. Auto tunes to the room (including the sub) and sounds great on all content including music…no need to fiddle with different modes as content changes. Absolutely blows away the Samsung Q990, but is more expensive than $700 if you want to add the rears. I’ll upgrade to the rears at some point, but it sounds amazing with room filling effects even without them.
i had both and the 900 is far superior to the 600, especially with the bass module. Get the 900 or Ultra
Is it really better than Bose 900 or Sonos? I have Bose 900 with sub and surround and it's phenomenal. Need to setup another room.
I have Bose 900 with surround and sub. Ridiculously good for movies and gaming. Got sub and surround refurbished under 500 and bar for 800.
I still think the Bose soundbar 900 is one of the best out there, pair it with the 700 sub and rear speakers it’s a powerhouse.
That sucks that it doesn’t work well w the Hisense. I have a 900 and 600, both connected to Sony TVs and they’ve been pretty much plug and play since day one.
If full surround is your goal, I'd recommend the Samsung over the Bose. I have the Bose soundbar 900 (the Ultra without AI dialogue) with bass module 700 and returned the surround 700s because they sound anemic. Because they don't have upward drivers, the soundstage at the rear of the room becomes linear compared with the bar's high and wide soundstage. The Bose surrounds are 10 years old and repurposed from Bose's discontinued 5.1 lifestyle 650 system.
I own both and a lot depends on room size. The 900 has a wider sound stage and maybe a little more detail. For a small room, you might not hear the benefit of the 900s soundstage because the 600 does a great job filling smaller spaces.
For a room that size, I'd go with the 900 due to the wider soundstage. Our TV room is a little smaller than yours and the 600 doesn't sound as big and wide in there as the 900. We use the 600 for our bedroom which is a smaller room.
I have Bose 900 Soundbar Bose 700 Subwoofer and Bose rear Speakers... More than Happy. Bose do have a later Model after 900.
