Unfortunately I found that there is no HDMI connectivity in the Samsung soundbar. I bought the JBL one.
It has but I compared both. The JBL SB510 has a dedicated center channel which gives more clarity and better and clearer dialogue sound as compared to Samsung one.
I have a jbl sb510 just got it recently. Also in an apartment, and wanted 3 channel without a sub to not annoy neighbors. I think its pretty good, better than tv speakers. Surprising amount of bass to. 5 bass levels, I only use it at 3 maybe 4. Volume levels go up to about 32, I think even half way up at 15 is good. One downside is that it doesn't have an lcd display to tell you what volume you're at. If you hit the bottom or top it will slow blink twice, you can just count up/down from there. For people in apartments I think its solid. I actually scored and basically got it for free because I was sent two for the price of one by mistake.
It's good imo, also has a voice preset to help more, as well as movie and music.
Recently purchased the JBL SB510 for $80 for my bedroom. I believe it's still on sale. Considering the price point, definitely happy with it. The only thing I wish it had was an display instead of the different dot colors to indicate the mode. It's made from a nice heavy metal grille and plastic. Whatever all in one soundbar you get make sure it's at least 3 channels. You'll want that center channel to clearly hear dialogue. I also tried the Samsung all in one soundbar previously but didn't like that there was no numerical volume indicator given the higher price point.
There is a jbl 3.1 at 240. Specially made for costco. We have a open hall and the subwoofer is good.
You will almost never use the surround sound after 1 year. Thats if you even ever set it up to be surround sound in the first place. I removed ours the other month after 14 years (hasnt been turned on in probably 7) and replaced it with a $150 3.1 JBL soundbar from The Warehouse
The Warehouse had a JBL 3.1 soundbar for $150 a couple months ago, they are pretty good
We got a JBL 3.1 Soundbar from The Warehouse a couple months ago for $150. Sounds perfectly fine to me, comparable to the Bose on my parents have
