AARONautics_101 1.0Samsung Q800c which I had prior to the LGC4. I’m very happy with it since the bar and the tv make use of Atmos and DTS .
Caleb-CM 1.0Firstly q-symphony is more of a gimmick so don't bother with it(it is nice but no big deal). Also the q800c is a better soundbar than the bar 500, so go with the samsung. Yes go with the q800f if u can.

DegreeParticular714 1.0Damn i thought the 800 series have the same power output for the sub as 990 series but i was wrong since the sub size is the same..i bought the q800c and i was amazed by the bass coming out when watching movies with this soundbar for the 1st time...now i feel it's not enough...probably gonna try the high end 990 series
DueAd675 1.0I had a Samsung Q800c and Sub for a couple of years and recently upgraded to a Sonos Arc Ultra with a pair of Era100s. What a difference. The Samsung sounded like a louder TV speaker with no separation. Also since I have a Samsung TV I thought they would pair nicely. Nope. I was always re-pairing and turning it on. The Sonos Arc Ultra is so immersive and I don´t even need a sub. Get the Sonos
Rather than ¨bigger is better¨you might want to consider a soundbar with the biggest soundstage. I just got a Sonos Arc Ultra with two era 100s to replace a Samsung Q800 with rear surrounds. Even though they are similar in size the Sonos soundstage blows the Samsung out of the water.
Fickle_Frosting_1117 1.0Hi, absolutely, the stereo of the HW-Q800C at this listening distance will be pure bliss, and with the subwoofer on top of that, you guys are the best.
GogoGadgetTypo 1.0Q990c Q800c are really good, don’t even use any of the voice enhancements. My folks both wear hearing aids with the 800c and both say it’s really clear, nice bass too. I also own JBL Bar 500, not as good as the Samsungs, but drop the bass and raise the mids it’s not half bad.
My folks both wear hearing aids, I got them a Q800C and they like it, that’s without any of the voice enhancements turned on. So throw that choice in the mix.
gronyone 1.0I had previous version S800B... Not sure if eARC really somehow upgrade sound but previous model was good for it's size if this form factor is needed but later when I got Q800C there was no comparison. Much better and fuller sound with big improvement on Dolby Atmos performance. I have currently Q990D and it's another big step up. Much fuller sound. I would say get ultra Slim soundbar only if it's required due to design or low profile TV. It's good to small room where you sleep but in my case for example outside movie area when I played some podcasts on YT it sounded even thinner than TV speakers sometimes when subwoofer was not really involved although clarity was good.

incepdates 1.0I have the q800c, which according to RTings performs identically to the D version. Dialogue quality is great, it sounds very natural and very clear. I have no problems following along with TV shows without subtitles. The bass sounds good though it can be a little shy. I have "bass enhancement" enabled to give it some extra kick. The sound is rich and full-bodied and the bass can thump for especially impactful sound cues or music
I picked up an open box Q800C and it's been very solid. You can add rear speakers to it down the line too
Have the q800c myself which is basically the same as the D version, I like it a lot I haven't added the rears yet but it sounds natural and clear Samsung makes good products, you just have to hope you never need their customer support
