"Features like midnight playback and dialogue boost works great!"

"Dialogue quality is great ... it sounds very natural and very clear ... I have no problems following along with TV shows without subtitles."

"i was amazed by the bass coming out when watching movies with this soundbar for the 1st time"

"And the subwoofer is amazing."

"The bass sounds good ... I have "bass enhancement" enabled to give it some extra kick ... the bass can thump for especially impactful sound cues or music"

"I got the rears one year later and was an amazing upgrade for a relatively small cost, especially with any surround content :)"

"Features like midnight playback and dialogue boost works great!"

"Q symphony is amazing. ... With the first two bars, you could clearly tell the sound was coming from below the TV… q symphony fixes that completely."

"it rocks the room while watching movies. ... Batman and LotR make me feel like I'm at the theatre!"

"see the options pop up for the spatial sound. ... I can feel Dolby Atmos as well as DTS:X sound effects and, in a word, awesome. ... Dolby Atmos sounds terrific"

"I'm very disappointed - it sounds incredibly 'tinny' ... I wanted clearer vocals, and it has that, but I sacrificed 'rich sound' for 'tinny tv speaker sound with a thumping subwoofer'. ... Even my wife noticed that its awful and she's not into this stuff. ... I have an old samsung DVD player sound system from like 10 years ago that I likely only paid $200 for and the sound had much more depth and sounded like a quality system."

Firstly q-symphony is more of a gimmick so don't bother with it(it is nice but no big deal). Also the q800c is a better soundbar than the bar 500, so go with the samsung. Yes go with the q800f if u can.

I have the Q800C, with a set of matched rear speakers. If you get the Q800 and the rears, it's wonderful.

Damn i thought the 800 series have the same power output for the sub as 990 series but i was wrong since the sub size is the same..i bought the q800c and i was amazed by the bass coming out when watching movies with this soundbar for the 1st time...now i feel it's not enough...probably gonna try the high end 990 series

If they put some room correction into the newer ones it would go a long way. But I could never go back to my $800 soundbar after getting a real 5.1 setup with room calibration.

Spacefit isn’t room correction. I had a 800c. I’m talking about a calibrated mic you hold at your listening position to get perfect speaker level matching to your target EQ curve with filters to smooth the subwoofer response and change distance/delay on all the channels to remove phase cancellations.

I bought q800c and i still dont know whats surround about it. Sound quality is similar to build in speakers from my lg cs oled and only good thing is sub. Rears would make it surround i assume.

I had a Samsung Q800c and Sub for a couple of years and recently upgraded to a Sonos Arc Ultra with a pair of Era100s. What a difference. The Samsung sounded like a louder TV speaker with no separation. Also since I have a Samsung TV I thought they would pair nicely. Nope. I was always re-pairing and turning it on. The Sonos Arc Ultra is so immersive and I don´t even need a sub. Get the Sonos

Hi, absolutely, the stereo of the HW-Q800C at this listening distance will be pure bliss, and with the subwoofer on top of that, you guys are the best

Q990c Q800c are really good, don’t even use any of the voice enhancements. My folks both wear hearing aids with the 800c and both say it’s really clear, nice bass too. I also own JBL Bar 500, not as good as the Samsungs, but drop the bass and raise the mids it’s not half bad.

r/Soundbars • Which soundbars do you have real-world experience with, or have reliable info about , that help with dialogue clarity? ->

My folks both wear hearing aids, I got them a Q800C and they like it, that’s without any of the voice enhancements turned on. So throw that choice in the mix.
