r/StandingDeskAny Good Standing Desks in 2025 That Don’t Wobble?

I bought a Flexispot E7 Plus (four legs) and it does not move at all, whether at sitting (26.0 in) or standing (41 in). I have two laptops, speakers, a heavy-duty monitor arm and accessories on the desk.

E7 Plus is the most stable model since it has 4 legs. That's the better option.

r/StandingDeskIs a standing computer table worth it?

I'm a graphic designer and can be on the computer for long sessions to meet deadlines. I recently started working from home and my chair and desk were ok but not great and I was having a ton of back pain. I did a lot of research on standing desks. Yes. If you are at your computer for long hours and you get the right desk and don't try to go cheap on it, a good standing desk is totally worth it! I wasn't sure I would like standing up and working. I didn't think it would be comfortable to stand and draw on a tablet or do photo retouching in that position, but I am glad I got a standing desk because I actually do enjoy standing and working. The relief it gives your back is definitely noticeable. I will say that I think if you are serious about it you have to be willing to invest in a sturdy solid four leg desk. Research your options. I am totally pleased with my Flexi Spot E7 plus. The desk was around $650 with a rubberwood top - but their chipboard with laminate tops cost less and are good as well. So you could probably get the price down to around $550ish. The E7 plus is sturdy, well made, and the wood top is gorgeous.( I got the dark espresso rubberwood top.) The frame is very heavy but it makes the desk super stable These desks are heavy and assembly can be... challenging but I did it on my own and it worked out just fine. Thing is if you order a two leg and then realize you should have sprung for the more stable four leg one then you'll have to contact them, explain the issue you have, go through a refund process and then disassemble it and ship it back. So it's best to really do your research. I invested another $100 bucks or so for some extras like cable management and an under desk CPU holder that moves with the desk. Oh and I also got a small 3/4 " thick kitchen mat for about 20 bucks for when I'm standing. (Like the ones the chefs and kitchen staff use when standing all day prepping food.) I love it. I will stand when my back and legs start to hurt after sitting for a few hours. Prior to having it I was forced to sit the whole time and it was wreaking havoc on my lower back. I would wake up in pain the next day when constantly sitting. But now with just one or two standing sessions in an eight hour day, I don't have that pain anymore. I tend to stand for about an hour the most and then return to sitting but even a fifteen minute break for your spine is great and I'm sure you would feel the difference. I'm older so a comfortable work desk is a necessity for me. If you are younger, I still encourage you to invest in one now to prevent back issues later. Especially if you shrimp 🦐 over the desk when gaming or working. I get that it is a big chunk of change to drop for a desk but if you are sitting at the computer for long periods and especially if you are working from home it's well worth the investment in my opinion. I would have to say wherever you get a desk from - you should avoid the two leg style models. I got a second mid-range priced two leg E5 desk from FlexiSpot for my craft area to try to save some money and I regret it. I am now trying to return it and upgrade it to another E7 plus with four legs because the wobble is pretty severe and it disrupts my workflow. Do you have a good chair? Hate to add to the cost but a good chair is also important if you are on the computer a lot. I sprung for a Hon ignition chair I had been watching on Amazon for a while when the prices dropped near Christmas. Got it for about $350 and now it's up to $500 again. It has also helped so much. Chairs are tricky though because you really have to try them out first to see if it fits your body shape and needs. So if you can try some out IRL that's the best way to get one. We had HON chairs at work that I liked so it made my decision easier. Best of luck on your search. Also, there's a FlexiSpot reddit and one of the guys on there can help you get a discount code. Though they almost always seem to be having flash sales on their website anyway.

r/StandingDeskFirst Standing Desk Setup & Review | Flexispot E7 Plus, Benq Halo 2, Fluidstance Balance Board, Flexispot GP01 Threadmill
about 1 month ago

**Hi,** I wanted to share my first standing desk setup. I probably spent too much time researching all the bits and pieces, so hopefully this saves you some time. Since I'm mentioning a few products - I haven't been paid by any of the brands to post this. It started with wanting to simply get standing desk to help with my back - and turned into room redecoration & realization that I operate better in a clean set up with few distractions in my field of view. # Desk – Flexispot E7 Plus + 40mm Solid Oak Worktop Being in the UK, the choice of 4‑leg standing desks is more limited than in the US. I was deciding between Flexispot’s E7Q, E7 Plus, or waiting for the upcoming E7 Plus Max. After watching a bunch of YouTube reviews, I was a bit concerned about the E7 Plus’s stability — it felt like a compromise. But with the deal I found, I went for it. In my setup, I don’t notice wobble, whether standing or walking on the treadmill. My heavy monitors and desktop probably add stability. If I deliberately push side‑to‑side, yes, there’s some movement. The only time it was really noticeable was when I knocked my head against the legs while doing cable management. The raise/lower speed is fine. There are faster desks out there, but I’ve never wished this one was quicker. It reacts gently if something’s in the way. I might consider the E7 Plus Max in the future, mainly because it can extend to the full width of my desktop (190 cm). I added shelves underneath using sturdy C‑brackets to hold a USB‑C charger, Schiit units, and headphones (hook coming soon). This keeps the desktop clear. Assembly was straightforward — just pre‑drill holes in hardwood and use non‑reactive screws (I went with stainless). The single brace is sufficient for my thick oak worktop, but with thinner wood I’d want extra reinforcement. The only part I needed help with was flipping it upright. # Lightbar – BenQ Halo2 Got it on a Black Friday discount. I can’t compare with other light bars, but my evening eye strain is basically gone. I never have to adjust it — the auto detection works perfectly. # Walking Pad – Flexispot GP01 Quiet, works well, and I chose it mainly for the 2‑year warranty (most others are 1) and 60‑day return policy. Walking pads are one of those things people often stop using, so the return option gave me peace of mind. The only quirk: I can’t figure out how to switch it off with the remote, so I use a smart socket. Typing, reading, or watching something while walking is fine. Using a mouse is trickier, but dropping the speed with a shortcut helps. # Wobble Board – Fluidstance Plane I wanted a cushioned surface so I wouldn’t need shoes. This board nails it. The width feels natural, and I can type and use my mouse comfortably. If you find a cheaper board that meets your priorities, go for it — but this one works great for me. (And honestly, spare yourself from looking at Reddit wobble board reviews — most are from the COVID era and read like blatantly written by the companies themselves.) # Setup Process * **Cable Management:** Long and painful. I tried magnets, but velcro straps were the most efficient. The desk frame makes a brilliant anchor point. * **Redecorating the Room:** Before starting a project like this, think carefully about your goals. I initially thought about replacing the desk, but once I cleared the clutter I noticed the walls were marked. That led me to repaint the room (E7 Plus makes an amazing platform for painting), then build a wooden panel to cover damaged wallpaper. Through this process I started appreciating a cleaner setup: I moved a shelving unit to the wall behind me and kept as few items as possible on the desk and in my field of view. As a finishing touch, I used a 10 cm offcut from the desk to make a small shelf under the whiteboard.

If you like the look of your PC and have space - why not on top! Also it all depends how big your desktop is. For mounting you desktop it - I would look at size of the frames for E7 Pro & E7 Plus that you're considering and see where you could fit it. With e7 Plus you might struggle to fit the mount and PC inside of the frame. If you fit it outside, than you have to make the frame narrow which takes away the space... just do a bit of lego on the drawing of dimensions. I was a bit too optimistic in terms of space, until I received the PC mount and realized it's not as easy as I thought.

I think that's what I have.(Just looked up my old email, I have an e7+ 72\*30) Looks like it was like 940$. Had it for a year and a half, feels like it's been longer. Its been a really great desk. It raises up surprisingly high, it's super sturdy and feels very well build. I have a large surge protector attached to the underside for a much neater cable management. Highly recommend it, I can't think of a single complaint I've had for this desk it's priced very well, was easy to assemble, very heavy duty and sturdy. I think the only thing I remember have to do was pre drill some holes on the desktop portion of the desk but it was just a little measuring. At one point I had an under the desk PC mount drilled and installed into the underside of the desk and it worked really well until I got a new PC and it no longer fit in that mount. https://preview.redd.it/5m1xr9mxpq0g1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54721140f3ae3dbb2a5a6b59e751ab2e8d1d3dc8

r/StandingDeskIf Flexispot are so “stable”, why don’t they conform to the usual stability standards?

I’ve personally had my desk for just under a year now. E7 Plus (UK) and haven’t had a issue with it other than the USB A chip not working on the control panel but got refunded for it since I didn’t need it to work so they offered to send out a new one or refund. It’s been perfect since day 1. It took a while for me to set it up due to lack of available tools but I did it. Best purchase other than a chair for my WFH set up. Only options I’d go for were Flexispot, DeskHaus and Uplift but Flexispot had the best options for UK delivery (Apex Pro is a beauty!!) I think DH owner hit the nail on the head that it is a money grab for a badge but doesn’t truly define quality. Sure there is people out there with issues (and raise them as they should) but these 3 are the best out there for what they do. My personal experience couldn’t fault Flexispot who send out hundreds a month (or more). I’ve debated on getting a second standing desk for my misses who doesn’t like to sit at her desk and likes being able to stand at mine. Don’t witch-hunt over a badge, provide the feedback to them and let them decide. This gives a sour taste constantly posting to Reddit the same thing.

Oh and to add, the stability is fantastic, I just have cheap monitor arms but even those wobble minimally at 110 height (unless I properly push/pull the table)

Frame Flexispot E7 Plus is the way to go IMO. Holds about 550 lbs and with 4 legs doesn't move at all

I copied this from another post but I figured I would use it here as well: I'm going to give you my whole set up. I purchased just the frame and then I purchased an unfinished top. This set up will not have any wobble the frame is a little pricey but it is 4 legs and it holds up to 540 lbs. \- Frame Flexispot E7 Plus ([https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus](https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus)) don't forget the 10% off discount code Coupon ID: PKAW10 (500 - 50 = $450) \- Unfinished Hevea Wood 72x30 - [https://www.wayfair.com/storage-organization/pdp/loon-peak-kirren-unfinished-hevea-solid-wood-butcher-block-countertop-for-diy-kitchen-countertop-desk-top-workbench-hwiz1027.html](https://www.wayfair.com/storage-organization/pdp/loon-peak-kirren-unfinished-hevea-solid-wood-butcher-block-countertop-for-diy-kitchen-countertop-desk-top-workbench-hwiz1027.html) ($250) I'm going to finish the top with Osmo [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JHNZP5G](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JHNZP5G) so the color will stay the same and not amber. \- Grommet Ports - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV788PQ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV788PQ) ($45) \- Under Desk Surge Protector - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ2L5SSZ?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ2L5SSZ?th=1) ($25) \- Under Desk Keyboard - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVF9LHRV](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVF9LHRV) ($90) \- Cable Management - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N1JTGC6](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N1JTGC6) ($35) \- Rolling Casters so if I have to move the desk it's easy and not a massive pain - [https://www.flexispot.com/standing-desk-casters-w1?value=w1](https://www.flexispot.com/standing-desk-casters-w1?value=w1) ($35) All in $930. I know it is a little pricey but I spend a massive amount of time at my desk. Biggest issue IMO is not to skimp on the frame. You can skimp on the other stuff. I went with a bigger desktop so it was more expensive. You don't need the casters but they are nice, You don't need the Grommet Ports either but they are nice as well. Under Desk keyboard was a requirement for how I work and same with the under desk surge protector and the cable management. I did a bunch of research on frames and I really feel like the Flexispot E7 Plus is hard to beat for the price

IMO Jarvis is about 10% nicer and typically waaaaay more expensive. E7 is still plenty quiet, fast, and stable, and is the right pick between the two for most people.

Agreed. In my experience you’ll want a 4-leg desk if you’re putting a 3d printer on it. A two motor option like [Flexispot’s E7+](https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus) or [our Elite desk](https://ergodriven.com/products/the-ergodriven-standing-desk) would be fine!

Jarvis desk is made by Jiecang (same as Uplift and Deskhaus). Flexispot is made by Loctek. I have a Jarvis and a Flexispot E7. The Jarvis is like 5-10% nicer. Slightly quieter, and slightly more stable at standing height. But the E7 is already plenty good, I think provides better value. I haven’t tried the E7 Pro but I would imagine it’s basically identical to Jarvis and Uplift V2. That said, I wouldn’t go below an E7.

FYI we recently launched our own desks and we went with Loctek in part because they deliver great frames at a great value, and as others have said, all the frames on the market are very similar. We were interested in innovating with the technology for controlling the desk instead.

r/StandingDesksBest standing desks in 2026 so far?

Here’s how I see the standing desk market right now, in January 2026. **“Amazon Specials” like Claiks, ErGear, HUANUO etc. - Primary consideration: Budget.** These are frankly total trash, probably even worse than the cardboard boxes I used for my first few years of standing. **Flexispot - Primary consideration: Value.** Buy here if your first consideration is budget but you don’t want garbage. Stick to E7 and above. **Secretlab - Primary consideration: Cable Management.** Buy here if you’re a gamer and/or you just can’t stand to see a cord. **Uplift - Primary consideration: Corporate Sales.** Buy here if you’re a purchasing manager (at work or at home). No one ever got fired for buying IBM. **DeskHaus - Primary consideration: Stability.** Buy here if you want to absolutely annihilate any and all wobble or sway, or if you need to support a massive desktop. **Branch - Primary consideration: Apartment Chic.** Buy here if your home office is also your living room. And where we think we fit in: **Ergodriven - Primary consideration: Ergonomics.** Buy here if you actually want to use your standing desk. That’s the need we identified. While these brands have innovated around the edges, no one has actually improved the ergonomics of standing desks in 10+ years. We all know the true benefit of standing desks isn’t just standing - it’s movement - both while you’re standing, and in changing positions throughout the day. Experts recommend switching between sitting and standing 20+ times per day. For example, the human ergonomics program at Cornell recommends the 20-8-2 rule: in every 30 minute period, sit 20 mins, stand 8 mins, and move/stretch for 2 mins. That is a lot to manage, especially when you have work to focus on. It’s 2026. You shouldn’t be relying on willpower or setting phone timers to remember to use your expensive desk for its only purpose. **Your desk should monitor your presence and position, and automatically move for you.** That's what we think anyway. So that’s exactly what our Tempo Desk does. It’s the only standing desk you’re guaranteed actually to use! And so far people love it! You can see reviews on [this page](https://ergodriven.com/products/the-ergodriven-standing-desk). BTW if you already have one of those desks above (or have your heart set on them for the totally valid reasons I listed), you can still get our [Tempo controller](https://ergodriven.com/products/tempo-smart-controller-for-standing-desks) and just swap out your controllers in a few minutes (Tempo is compatible with all the brands above - and many others - except the “Amazon Specials”).

r/StandingDeskQuestions on Flexispot E7 Plus Frame and Tabletop size
4 months ago

At standing height, when you’re typing or moving the mouse around, even with bigger motions, the monitor doesn’t really show any noticeable shake. That’s the level you get with the E7 Plus. If you lean on the desk a bit, or rest your chin on your hands while moving them around, you’ll see some visible wobble on the E7 Plus. With the E7 Plus Max though, that doesn’t happen, even if you give it a little push, there’s hardly any movement.
