Secretlab Magnus Pro is not cheap, but I'd recommend it to anyone. It does great at what it's meant to do, and the accessories are great. So is the cable management. It can be a slight pain if you need to swap out cables, but since that's rarely done, I don't think it's a huge detractor. If you do dual screen, I'd recommend getting two single monitor arms.

“Actually stable when standing” That depends on how tall you are. I’m 5’7” and my Magnus Pro is fine, but taller people find it wobbly. Trouble is most of them are on two legs, and it’s just physics. That said there are 4 legs standing desks out there, this one seems good: https://youtu.be/Ei_Wq7cdBwg

Very happy with mine too. But yes, extremely heavy. The XL is insanely heavy. Think twice before buying that if there are stairs involved.

I bought a regular size Secret Labs desk. It’s very sturdy and the cable management is awesome.

ecretlab I'm a neurotic individual so when it came to purchasing a standing desk I went right into the deep end. I researched every existing standing desk, read reviews, watched videos, etc. I was relying on Wirecutter's top recommendation list but was turned off by how much their top pick ended up costing after adding all the extra items (table top upgrade, power receptacles, etc). It was in that review that I discovered a mention of the Magnus Pro. I quickly saw that it checked all the boxes I was looking for in a standing desk. I priced it out, put in my order during the Memorial Day sale period for the desk, a dual monitor arm, and the XL cable management bundle. I received the items in less than 4 business days and was able to get it installed at my office. Initial impressions I am totally blown away by the build quality of all the components I ordered. While it was an expensive purchase, all the items feel and look worthy of the cost. The marquee feature of the desk is of course the cable management. Having the clutter of the wires hidden away is such a nice perk. It’s hard to overstate how nice it is to have the dedicated cable channels in the monitor arms and the ability to hide all the chargers behind a panel and forget they are there. I was somewhat concerned that the desk would feel out of place in my shared office with traditional desk pieces and office furniture but it still fits right in. For anyone on the fence on whether it fits in a non gamer environment, fret no more. It will work in any environment. Future Purchases I plan on purchasing another single monitor arm and the laptop attachment to get the laptop off the desk. I’m on the fence about the desk shelf but only because I have a divider behind the desk and I’m concerned about the dual monitor arms mounted so close to the wall. I’ve seen some people’s setups with the shelf and really like the extra space it provides. Browsing this subreddit has also made me feel like I need the matching chair now! I’m fully aboard the Secretlab hype train at the moment. Thanks for reading

When I was searching, I was hell bent on the secret lab magnus pro. Really nice, sturdy desk, but ultimately ended up getting something more timeless, a classic wood desk with built in cable management (just like SL) from Article.

I bought a Secretlab Magnus Pro, and can thoroughly recommend it. It has some really cool features, including: * Built-in cable run, that is large enough to fit multiple 4- or 6-gang extension leads. Cable management is really trivial with this desk. * You plug the leg of the desk in, and power runs up to the cable run, so your cables don't stretch when you raise the desk. You can even buy an attachment to clamp your PC to the desk, so it goes up and down with the desk. * Motorized with a really smooth motor. * Rock solid when in sitting-desk mode. * Near rock-solid when in standing mode. * The desk controller is embedded into the desk, not a small box underneath the desk, so you can't bang it with your chair. A small, but very welcome detail. * Really nice accessories - the entire desk is metal, so a lot of the accessories are magnetic. The monitor arms especially are great - very heavy duty. Secretlab sell lots of little magnetic gubbins for cable management, which are handy for clamping charging cables and things to specific locations. Basically, you end up with a nice looking that can actually stay fairly neat and tidy. Cons: * Only the left leg has a power socket, which is frsutrating as my plug is on the right. A small detail, but an annoying one. * The price. Once you've added a few accessories, you are looking at ~£1000. My justification was I use it 8 hours a day, 4 days a week (and my kids use it outside those hours as well) so the cost is amortised - but I'm fully aware that's man-maths :) Also, be aware it's a _very_ heavy desk. I've also heard that SL support isn't the best, but I've not had to contact them, so _shrug_.

I just bought a Secret Labs Magnus Pro XL, think it s a few hundred off for BF. Love it so far. Only complaint is my desk faces open area and the cable management is exposed. https://preview.redd.it/v1d23j1tbb3g1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b7998163de2b05450e1bb8e380b08d650557c08
