"I put them in my ear, put the helmet on, then do one final “push” with my finger to seat them in my ear for the ride. ... The batteries die before they work out of my ear."

"they are so comfortable that both I and my husband have had to feel our ears to check whether we were still wearing them."

"Also super bonus I've never head banged with earphones this hard besides with these soundcores, they stick to me like glue even when I'm in a metal mood and I'm headbanging for a good hour."

"Best shoes for the pnw! What I use as well"

"I love the huge open screen on the front and the fact that it angles forward. It meant that even if I was in the tent in the rain, I could usually have the fly in front rolled up and still “feel” outside, without any rain getting in."

"They got me through an entire bandon dunes trip where it rained for 3 days straight."

"Got me through a week with everything Utah can throw at you - snow, mud, dirt, gravel, sand, slickrock, slot-canyon scooting, and the occasional stream crossing - and I never felt unsure of my footing."

"just for hiking and trail rubbing ... Personally I wore them for my ultra."

"The tongue of the shoe has a very stiff edge. ... It wasn’t that noticeable on shorter 5-8 mile runs, but then when I used them on a 20 mile long run, they shredded my socks and bruised both my ankles and cut one of them open. ... I’ve never had anything like that happen with any other shoes, never had any discomfort or rubbing from a shoe tongue like that before."

"I canceled my preorder for 899 dollars Seagway Max G3 because I found from first owners that even 25 miles is a stretch for this models. ... It’s actually funny, but I had preorder for G3 Max but I canceled it as soon as I’ve learned that I’m unlikely going to get more than 25 miles on it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty decent scooter, but it primarily for people who takes shorter trips."

Some will say otherwise but I think you can't go wrong with the Speedcross 6 GTX.

I have worn Salomon Speedcross GTX for years. My last pair I got in July 2024 and I put on them over 2,200 miles (in a year). I said it was time and now I have a new pair but I still wore my oldies today. Habits are hard to break.

Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX. I wear these year round. Get the GTX version - breathable Gore-Tex lining provides reliable waterproofing.

I guess you have to try them on. I also have wide feet. For some reason, mine fit perfectly. When it gets icy, I put cleats on over them for a little bit more traction. On hiking buddy got them too. Neither of us have twisted an ankle. Maybe we are lucky. The only time she has fallen was when she tripped on a branch running away from a bear!

I have the Speedcross 6 (GTX), and they have been perfect for snow and muddy conditions. I find the drop and midsole too harsh for long-distance running, though. Anything longer than 20km, and my feet start hurting. They also run narrow, so do try them on first. They are light and fast, but somewhat of a waste on less technical terrain.

I have the Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX and it's super comfy and super grippy! I'm flat footed but I didn't need to switch out my insoles since the standard insoles are already comfy 😄 Since it's a trail runner, it's not the most stable for the ankle but it's flexible enough to go through tight spots and hold on to little rocks when scrambling. It's also protective enough na thorns or sharp rocks didn't cut the sides or pierced through the shoe! The only issue I have lang is the GTX version isn't really for PH weather since mas "kulob" siya due the the waterproofing material (tested it during a stormy hike and totoo naman na waterproof talaga 😆) so mas mabilis uminit sa foot area and might be prone to blistering if you're not wearing the right socks (would reco wool socks for moisture wicking)

I wear xt6, xt4 and acs daily around town and for light hikes. I have some speed cross 6 gtx I wear for slightly more rough trails but prefer boots if I can for ankle stability.

Exactly my answer. The tread alone on those things is outstanding. I'm on my 3rd pair (2 from the current generation) and don't see myself switching unless they screw up the model 7.

They do. As a fellow Speedcross 6 wearer, I agree that their deep lugs make them good for running in winter. I don't bother with the GoreTex model personally, adds too much weight and frankly I don't mind my feet getting a bit damp if I'm wearing decent socks and only going 10 miles or less. But I'm in Colorado so "it's a dry snow".

I have ▶️ Hoka Tecton X2 - Trail speed ▶️ Salomon Speedcross 6 Goretex - wet days trails ▶️ Salomon Speedcross 6 - Dry days ▶️ Asics Novablast - Track work ▶️ Asics Nimbus 25 - All road runs other than races ▶️ Nike Vaporfly 2 - Race day only (roads) ▶️ Adizero Pro 4 - New race day shoes (roads) I know I have too many but I really value the grip on the trails and how the road shoes work for me.

I've been using the last two versions of Speedcross GTX. I love them for hiking and trail running. But these are not made for running on hard surfaces. Waterproofing works great, they do not slip on wet rocks, great traction.

I use the Speedcross GTX for trail running. They’re great but the gore-tex is pointless unless you wear a gator as they just fill with water otherwise. You’d be better wearing a non-gore-tex and a waterproof sock to be honest. Wouldn’t want to climb a mountain with terrain that could turn my ankle though. Boots are always best for that.
