My go to shoes, don't have anything else anymore
I have over 70 miles in mine. Awesome shoe so far. I bought the wide version, excellent choice since they typically run narrow.
Fellow speedgoat enthusiast here that hated the 6's in size 13 and 14. Just got a pair of Salomon Ultra Glide 4's and they're excellent. The lugs might be too aggressive if you only run super buffed trails.
I ran in these this morning! I like them a lot. I dont use them for anything crazy technical because of the stack, but im sure I could. Super comfy and feel fast.
I bought true to size and they fit great.
These are max cushion. You are going to love em. I havent ran in the heat with them yet, but they seem pretty breathable, as well. I picked them up last year. Just breaking them in now that the snow is melting!
Great shoe, completed several hundreds in the Ultra Glide 2s and really pleased with the 4s. Sense Pros used to be my go to, but switched to something a bit more plush for longer distances. Good cushion and grip but still feels nimble with decent groundfeel.
Dude keep your head still, you'll make yourself dizzy! 😂 I'm sure you'd be fine in either, which ever you're most comfortable with (I'd lean towards the Salomons but that's just because I like them - I think most people would prefer the Nike's). Good luck OP.
Did an ultra (54k) in mine yesterday and they were great. I bought my usual size and was a little concerned that they may be a bit tight (after I had already started breaking them in so unable to return them) but they were great. Only had a hint of a blister on one of my toes which don’t cause any issues during the run and no doubt would have occurred anyway with another pair of shoes.
They are solid! They also come in a wide which is awesome!

Ran a 33k in the desert and rocky terrain with these. My feet felt totally fine after. Super cushioned and comfortable on the flatter sections. The overall size and width of the base can be a bit tricky in the more technical or scramble-necessary areas. Overall, really love them. Compared to Mount to Coast T1 they are like plush Cadillac rides, but less precise. Compared to Trabuco Max 3, they are even more plush and actually a bit more nimble in feel.
They are really comfy and if you are running on buffed out mellow gravel trails they are great (though you could probably wear road shoes at that point). They also last, I've put 1,500km on a pair as recovery shoes with a lot of that on the road. Anything more than that, the mere hint of rain, mud or anything technical, they become useless. Unstable, grip has such a quick cliff edge and just not fun. They just don't have enough of a contact patch and the lugs are too short.
