Just about every other barefoot shoe is not going to perform well in the environments you mentioned. Companies make barefoot boots for that. I plan to use them for walking the dog on trails, and maybe trail running on dry days. Vivo hydraesc are my go to trail running shoe currently.

Vivos with the Michelin tread are extremely durable. I tore shoes to shit in about 3/4 months. I play a ton. That’s an important factor. My vivos are going stronger after a year.

not sure if they fit the criteria but I run in Vivobarefoot Hydra ESC and they are absolutely bonkers on pretty much any surface and condition. Absolutely love them.

r/vivobarefootFirst pair of Vivos for digital nomad life – Primus Trail FG 3.5 vs Primus Trail Flow vs Tracker AT Low?

Don’t get anything with the tracker AT sole lug pattern. I have the tracker AT and Moc and they are both lethal on wet surfaces. For some reason the compound used is very slippery (fine on dry ground). I would recommend any of the ESC with the Michelin soles, the Scott IV or anything with the Gobi soles. I own all of them and they’re all ok when it rains. I can’t speak to other models but I personally wont buy any more vivos with the tracker AT type soles.

It seems like you've just described the Vivo Hydra ESC. You might find [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/barefootshoestalk/s/wyTRqhtcUB) old post of mine interesting. I still routinely pack in my boots this way. And I can actually fit my Vivo Jungle ESC in the exact same packing cube, you just need to fold the top half of the uppers to the side. Well still keeping room for my Wildling Nebula, which I use as camp shoes and as slippers.

r/UltralightHas anyone else with hypermobility made the switch to trail runners?

I am hypermobile and am also in the process of figuring out if I have EDS and what type. I didn't make the switch, but rather since I began hiking/backpacking/trail running I have worn Vivobarefoot and Altra shoes. My ankles became pretty strong and never roll, even compared to other regular-mobile people. I also have the frontal knee pain, but as you mentioned, it turned out that's about the imbalance of too strong quads-too weak hammies. TLDR: Yes it's possible

r/barefootshoestalkI hate that I love wearing barefoot shoes. All other shoes have quickly been ruined

I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes for 10 years. For my trail runs I used to use Vivobarefoots but recently bought a pair of Altra lone peak 9+ goretex. Best trail running shoes I’ve ever had. Zero drop, great vibram grippy sole. Slightly cushioned. Wide toe box. Highly recommended.

I've been liking the new Inov-8 Trailfly Zeros in wide. Vivo shoes fit me decently well and these seem similar fitwise.

I exclusively wear Vivobarefoot, and will never go back to thicker shoes.
