"We loved our Doona and are using it for #2 now! Our first got to 19 months before they outgrew it (small kid lol)."

"It’s hands-down the most convenient, easy-to-use baby item I own. ... I haven’t touched my regular car seat + stroller combo since. The Doona goes *everywhere* with me."

"The Doona is amazingly convenient ... for travelling/quick trips that involve getting from point A to point B"

"I've loved the Doona for travel ... It is great for the airport ... and folds up to use as your car seat on the plane."

"It’s excellent for travel to avoid bringing out hefty stroller and so we just check one piece and not a car seat and stroller base."

"bub is 19lbs and growing at 7.5 months so looking for more practicality"

"it is going to be a short-term investment because baby will grow out of it by a year."

"But at 2, he didn't want to be confined to a car seat for the entire flight and he wanted to move around. ... For a 5 hour flight at 2 years old, I would not do it if it were my kid."

"I couldn’t wrap my head around why anyone would spend $500 on an infant car seat when they are in it for such a short period of time. ... While the Doona is definitely pricey"

"It’s very pricey"

We have one and primarily used it for travel as it was easier to have just one thing instead of 2. Also it installs without a base which is convenient when we were traveling with rental cars (but more options out these days for that, esp the nunas).

I have the Doona and I love it. So convenient to just take the car seat out of the car, press a button and it’s a stroller. No fuss no muss. I also have a Joie Ginger stroller for when I take my baby for walks in the park. It’s worked well for us. I was gifted a a Cybex Libelle travel stroller but haven’t used it yet. Seems cool though.

Pros: Great for errands and everyday getting around Nice for travel (2-in-1 system) without needing both car seat and stroller Easy to use/fold up 2 levels of handlebar placement (I’m 5’3” & my husband is 6’5” - he has to bend a little farther over but it’s not bad) Cons: No storage (we bought the little shell attachment and it works nicely but annoying that you have to buy it separately) Sun shield isn’t great (we also bought the extended shade cover and that works much better… again, another thing you have to purchase separately) Not great with stairs - it is definitely heavy. We didn’t run into as much of an issue with this, though because we don’t go up stairs often with it. Overall, we really love it and it’s been very convenient for our family. It’s definitely not our stroller - we have the uppababy Cruz V3 that we use for more extensive walks/mall outings, etc. But it’s been SO nice for quick errands in and out without having to carry around a car seat. I would and have recommended it to many.

We have one, we purchased after the recommendation of our friends that travel frequently. Full disclosure we also have a nuna. If your cool with not having storage it’s convenience factor can’t be beat. Really easy to take in and out. The weight can be an issue, we just practiced putting it in and out of the car before baby.

I love it. Best decision ever. Honestly. We bought a different one before and wished we just went with the doona. Now we have the Donna tricycle and love it also.

It is sooo heavy, I would struggle getting it into the car once the wheels where tucked away, absolutely no place to put anything, no even hang your purse. The only option was to buy and add on to an already expensive item. I liked that the wheels had a 360 swivel. But that’s about it, the shade would also never got low enough to cover my babies eyes from the sun. Do not recommend for the price point.

I bought one off of FB marketplace to use for travel and it was fantastic for that purpose. I would not buy it for full price and use it as my everyday car seat because it is heaaaavy.

Doona! 100%. We go every where SO easily, so convenient to hop in an Uber at any time. You can also Uber home from hospital, call a nice Uber XL or Uber Black. You can always get a compact nice stroller with bassinet to walk around the city like a Bugaboo Dragonfly or if you wait for child to be bigger a Butterfly. Don’t count on a carrier for 100% use. Some babies hate them, sometimes it’s hot / muggy. Sometimes they get uncomfy in a coat in the carrier during winter, etc. Good luck. FWIW I’ve never met a fellow New Yorker who regretted a Doona.

My kids lasted to a year. It depends on how long your babies are.

We used it for two kids. We feel we couldn’t live without it. IT IS NOT YOUR STROLLER. It is a car seat that serves as a stroller for quick errands, going out to eat, doctors’ appointments, etc. We traveled and it was a dream to deal with in that sense. It is heavy AF. We don’t have huge kids so the height limit wasn’t an issue so much as the seat getting very heavy. It’s NBD to switch to a convertible and travel stroller at that point.

It’s a huge PITA coming from the USA with one. As far as illegal, so is every single car seat that doesn’t have your official Canada maple leaf sticker on it (all of them not specifically manufactured for Canada). Heard AirCanada flight attendants raise hell and upon doing further research, we discovered none of our car seats are technically legal there.
