"We got in a bad car accident a while back and my baby was in a Nuna Rava at the time of the accident. ... Even with that, she walked away with a teeny scratch from the seatbelt and nothing else. ... I immediately went home and ordered two more so we’d have one for each of our cars."
"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"
"I've used a Big Agnes Blacktail Hotel for years now. ... I've grown up in the bush and it's by far the best tent I've ever used. ... I've never seen or used a better tent."

"it weighs under 350g"
"under 700 grams including stakes"
"This time around it will hopefully be much easier because we won’t be lugging the super heavy, although slim, Radians. ... They are NOT heavy or bulky, and I can carry all 3 without it being too much of a pain!"

"It was the most convenient thing ever if using multiple cars. ... not having a base left behind was sooooo convenient."
"Easily clips into cars or can be seat belted in. ... We have thrown that guy into so many cars and it’s extremely easy to use."
"It can also be secured without a base (with just a seatbelt) so we can easily get it secured in a relative's car, Uber, or rental without needing to worry about exactly what car is showing up"

"This price tag for something that only lasts *maybe* a year is a dealbreaker for me."
"our 99th percentile baby grew out of it around 12-13mo. ... I am SO sad that we can no longer use it."
"I would say the only thing I hate are the straps. ... I think I never learn to use them properly or maybe now that my son is 17 months the seem to be short for him."

"Haven’t you he’d the c3 since. ... Granted I live in a small apt in NYC ... Even if the c3 is much better at cleaning, it doesn’t mean much to me if it means I’ll only vacuum every other week vs once a day."
"heavy as hell"
"getting stressed out about the whole process of plugging in, lifting, storing the giant Kirby and not vacuuming at all in the end."

"I ordered a WAYB Pico travel car seat full price ($400 USD) at the end of Jan 2025. They sent me a car seat that was manufactured in 2023. ... Of course I don expect a car seat manufactured yesterday; but typically car seats that have been manufactured OVER A YEAR ago are discounted and not full price. ... There s no disclosure about this on their website, and the response is basically oo bad so sad . ... So - for a 7 year life of the car seat, you may get a car seat that already has lost 1/4 or 1/5 of its life expectancy before you even get it. ... I feel very duped, like - I get that Amazon and other discount sellers may have older unused car seats that they sell for a discount - but this was a full price car seat that shouldn be more than a couple months past manufacture date. Unacceptable. ... The fact the company responded to me and is fine with selling these seats from two years ago I just think is deceptive, functionally the seat is fine but for the price I wanted to let other parents know they may have a seat with 1/4 of the life expectancy gone before they get it!"
"Sadly it is really expensive. ... There was no way I could stomach getting it at full price especially knowing that it would ONLY be used for travel? ... The calculation of cost-per-use made my head spin. ... do not wait until you need it, and then get saddled with paying $400 😵💫😵💫."
"dang is it expensive ... at the time it was too much money"

"I would have gotten a stroller with a bassinet attachment or full lay flat option if I could do it over again. ... Bassinet attachment would have saved my sanity in the first several months. ... I couldn't go on longer stroller walks because I didnt want my newborn in her carseat (with attachment for stroller) for too long. Serious cabin fever for a bit."
"the only thing that stops it being the perfect pram is the lack of lie flat"
"my 14m old was in such a bad position and we couldn't put her more upright."
The pipa urbn /Nuna Trvl Lx combo is amazing. I have to walk down a flight of stairs and it works well. I like the Trvl LX because can be used from birth with a near flat recline, super early one hand fold, pretty light, and the wheels and frame are very strong handling not the best streets and sidewalks quite well. While I have a car, there have been times when I needed to take an uber and the urbn was perfect. It just plugs right into the latches. It was so much easier than doing a seat belt install each time. And while it is heavier than our pipa rx, it really wasn’t noticeable like I thought it would be. It felt the same with a 23lb baby in it as the RX. And when he was really little it was great.
We had the Pipa urbn and looooooved it. So easy and light. Twas a sad day when our daughter outgrew it.
She outgrew it around 11 mos.
Urbn, Graco GoMax, and Joie Mint latch are all baseless latch infant seats. All of the nuna seats can be installed baseless if you use a seatbelt btw. They’re all safe. People feel like they’re not safe because they’re new or because they don’t know how car seats work, but ask any CPST or look online for video demos - they can explain how it’s just as safe as other car seats on the market. People have this idea that the base that it clicks into, is safer, but when you have the baseless latch connection…it’s doing the same thing as the base is (connecting via latch lol) 😂 Idk the weight limits for the the Graco and Joie car seats but the nuna urbn, nuna pipa RX, and Aire RX all have the same weight and height limits now. They’re 4-30lbs and 16-30 inches. The older models varied more, but now they’re the same across the 3.
We have the Nuna pipa baseless with rigid latch and love it. We don’t take a lot of Ubers but didn’t want to buy multiple bases and I 100% recommend. It’s so easy to click in and out and is compatible with every single car.
Joolz aer 2 and Nuna pipa URBN are what I’m doing for my nyc baby. This combo is most versatile for travel etc.
This is true. But Nuna just came out with Pipa Urbn flex set that attempts to solve this in the US. The stroller mom mentioned it in her stories today. I think it’s to force spending more on their travel systems. I got an unused URBN on the second hand market for $170.
This is a new limit. Our Pipa urbn purchased just last fall goes up to 22 lbs. So if it currently says 30 lbs, that must be only for a model put out within the last year.
i love my pipa urbn! it’s honestly so easy to place and remove and i love knowing i can just clip it in any vehicle
We had a Nuna Pipa Urbn which was great at first as its easy to use and clip into vehicles BUT we ended up having to send it back as it put our LO in a really awkward position and would cause her into the chin to chest position which isn’t safe at all. We had numerous communications with Nuna to try different positions and they were great, but we couldn’t resolve it so they gave us a refund. We now have the Maxi-cosí pebble which has been great as it has 3 reclining positions and is easy to install into other cars with the seatbelt and it only takes a few minutes. Check the attachments as a lot of brands use the same attachments so even though we had the nuna pram the maxi-cosí car seat still attached using the nuna pipa urbn attachment. Good luck and congratulations for June
What year is your RAV4 I have a 2020 and my Urbn doesn’t seem to fit well. Way too much wiggle. We are waiting to hear back from Nuna about it. We don’t want to rely on the seatbelt if that’s the whole purpose of the latch 😭
That makes sense. Yea I adjusted the back seat as much as I could. I’m officially annoyed. I got mine from pottery barn and no one mentioned that this was a possibility. I guess I should have looked for the vehicle compatibility manual that I just found online a few minutes ago…what a waste
We have the Nuna Pipa URBN and LOVE it!! This is our first baby though so we don’t have much experience with any other car seat. We initially bought the regular Pipa that uses a base and it made our passenger seats virtually unusable (2016 BMW X5 and 2019 Volvo XC-90). The URBN sits lower on the seat due to not using a base and fits much better. It is a breeze to get in and out of our cars, easy and stress free to use in others’ cars, and I love that when I don’t have his car seat in my car all the seats are usable (none taken up by a base). I will say we’ve put it in a couple cars where the seat latches are covered with fabric held in place by Velcro and it has to be undone to install, which is less convenient, but hasn’t been a huge deal for us and in those cases we just use the included latch guides. We also heard people say the base is easier to get in and out every day but for us it’s been super easy, but again we only have experience with the baseless! I’ve also heard critiques about the size/weight limit, but my son was 16 lbs (25th percentile) at 6 months and it’s already pretty heavy. I can’t imagine wanting to carry a baby in a bucket seat around past the 22lb URBN limit personally.
