"I used it many times flying solo with my little one all the way up to the gate. ... I could hold him and still fold the stroller one handed."

"the one-hand fold mechanism is a life-saver"

"The onw-handed fold ... were life savers multiple times when I had to take the stairs somewhere unexpectedly"

"MAN can that thing handle all the bumps and crazy tree roots in our neighborhood. ... We can take it on trails even."

"Big wheels ... It has served me well on cobblestone streets, forest trails, beaches and everything in between."

"We rolled it right up to the place, gate checked it, and then picked it up on the other side. ... then you get a solid stroller to use on your trip."

"It’s not precious because it was only $50 and it is very sturdy. We’ve gate checked it about 10 times with no damage."

"the basket underneath was completely inaccessible from the back. I thought there would at least be some give in the back but there wasn’t lol. Like 2 inches of space to get in the back."

"I walk to the grocery store with my babe often and the basket on it is way too small."

"The aer doesn’t even hold my daily diaper bag. ... The basket is so small."

"The handlebar is at a fixed height and cannot be adjusted up and down, and the canopy when pulled back rubs up against it and it is NOT a pleasant sensation on your hands. There’s no avoiding it."

"The Babyzen and City brands don’t really have much adjustment capacity for the the steering handle, so if you’re too tall or too short it may be extremely uncomfortable for you to use something if you need to constantly hunch over."

"the handlebars ... were wobbly"

"It was way too big for Europe. ... Didn’t fit in elevators. ... Couldn’t navigate between cafe tables."

"It’s not small or lightweight"

"I just switched to a minu v2 because the gt2 is just a tiny bit too bulky to easily maneuver in and out of our house with an injured back."

"There is one caveat: it does not do parent facing. ... My guy has outgrown the bassinet/car seat but is not quite ready for world facing. So the City Mini GT is now waiting for him to get a bit bigger. ... If it had a reversible seat it would be the perfect stroller for every situation."

"My only con is that it can’t parent face"

"I expect the city mini *could* be used for an infant. The real issue is that their body wouldn’t be big enough to secure in the straps, and they can’t just be free in the seat to lay down bc they’d fall out with any slight bump."

I love my city mini gt, one handed fold and it was great for my off the charts tall toddler

Absolutely agree with the City Mini GT. Folds very flat, seat lays back and has mesh that allows for ventilation (great in Florida heat!), and you can fold and steer it with one hand. It’s an absolute dream to push around Disney. It’s a VERY popular stroller rental choice and for good reason.

The stroller use will last a lot longer than the infant carseat use. Prioritize a stroller that will work for your needs over a compatible travel system that meets your criteria. There is ALWAYS babywearing rather than stroller. I have a friend with a Graco Modes travel system and I absolutely hate the stroller. It rattles SO MUCH and steering is stiff and clunky. BabyJogger City Mini GT bare minimum. We live in a rural village with gravel streets and no sidewalks, so we are no stranger to rougher terrain. My family is also on the farm and we walk the dogs in the pastures sometimes. The City Mini GT can manage the gravel and pastures ok, but there are definitely better options. You can get adapters to click many carseat options into it. BabyJogger City Elite. The bigger, beefier sibling of the City Mini GT. Handles better on gravel for sure. Phil & Ted’s Sport. I had this for the double stroller option and loved it so much. Has the option of carseat adapters and a bassinet. Bumbleride is another great option to consider, and Mountain Buggy.

Another vote for the City Mini GT. I’m a nanny and have pushed everything on the market; City Mini is my absolute favorite.

We brought ours last week, city mini GT. It fit perfectly under the bed. Definitely liked having it for the airport. IT was also nice at Castaway Cay since we did the 5k and my son was able to take a nap while we walked.

I love the Baby Jogger City Mini GT (the old version). Big wheels, extremely manoeuvrable, easy to fold, and comfortable for a tall child (and a tall parent). It has served me well on cobblestone streets, forest trails, beaches and everything in between. The newest model GT3 has just been released.

Are two single strollers an option? I regret not getting two single strollers - it seems much more compact than any double “compact” stroller out there. We have the donkey which is a nightmare to transport and the city jogger gt for travel/car use but I still kind of hate it and am considering getting two single compact strollers.. but I already have 2 double strollers and I just feel like this is first world problems 🙃

GT city mini! Got mine used for $90 with snack tray & it was perfect for Disney. My son was almost 2 but he’s 38lb so he’s huge!

Totally agree. City mini or GT but the GT lasts longer (higher weight limit). After a few trips renting, I bought the GT on Facebook market because it had all the features I wanted. One handed fold is way more necessary than you realize!
