"One of my favorite features: it fits behind the driver’s seat of my Prius! That was a big deal because our main stroller—the Cybex Gazelle—takes up the entire trunk."
"It’s been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great."

"And the seat doesn’t sit all the way upright so she was always slouching and looked uncomfortable."
"It’s not newborn compatible, it doesn’t recline nearly enough for that."
"less comfortable for baby (in particular the butterfly doesn’t let him sit up that straight and also doesn’t recline as far)"

"Finally, you need two hands to unlatch and unfold it. ... While, these may sound like minor inconveniences, imagine doing that while holding a baby in one arm - impossible! Because of this, I have no faith in being able to travel alone with baby."
"There is no one someone can hold their baby and unfold this easily at the same time. ... It’s a 2 person or put down your baby job"
"In a hurry, closing the Minu took forever and if it closed wrong, it would be all messed up."

"Unfortunately the brake jammed the one wheel and now is constantly doing it. ... Have to take wheel off and fiddle with it to get it to release."
"The brake, the brake sucks, pretty sure I broke the brake on the first stroller that I had to have Amazon ship me another 😂 not sure what happened but this new one, it works fine though, my first one wouldn’t release the wheels and yeah I dragged that bitch until I realized something was up. So now I don’t fold it with wheels locked up."
"We have the Ergobaby metro 3 and had the brake issue. ... The brake actually got stuck when we were traveling and it was super frustrating. ... Once it gets stuck, it starts happening a lot more often."

"Travel stroller in general don’t do well on hikes and trails as they have smaller wheels. ... We love ours, but wouldn’t take it on a hike."
"Ergobaby metro 3 or uppababy mini v3 are good options to hit most of your needs, just know the limitation like they’re not gonna be the best for outside walks outside smooth road and sidewalk"
"There is a few travel stroller that’s are but they won’t be great for walks. One the wheels are tiny"

"No snack track. ... I bought a universal one and had to return it since the seat is too far back baby couldn’t reach it."
"My ONLY gripe is it does not come with a snack tray. ... I hate that I would have to buy the separate bar and then buy a janky clip on snack tray."
"My only want is a snack tray to hold his drink and snacks"
Yep, I use the Metro 3 as my primary stroller and I love it for my 3 month old. You can set it and fold it in any position. It is also pretty light for when you need to carry it around. I do agree that my son looks pretty small in the seat but he has fit the harness fine since birth and loves being in it.
I live in Montreal and have the Metro 3 for my 6 month old since birth. It isn't the best with bumps and I find that it is very easy to accidentally slam it into even the smallest curb edge. That said, I absolutely love that stroller. It folds down to nothing and I can easily store it in my coat closet of a tiny apartment. My son also loves bumps so the minimal shocks is a non issue for us. One con - I'm not sure if this is normal for other strollers but the basket gets soaked when it is raining, even with their rain shield. There is also the Metro 3 deluxe that was released after I bought mine. I wish I had it. Other than including some accessories, the main differences are a magnetic buckle and a carry strap. I really wish I had the strap since I live near a metro stop without an elevator and the idea of being able to toss it on my shoulder and free up a hand sounds amazing. I haven't been able to test it out in the snow yet but I don't expect it to do well beyond an inch or so, but I think that can be said for the majority of travel strollers. For accessories: I love the rain shield and bumper bar. I fold the rain shield into a packing cube and throw it into the basket whenever it looks a little grey outside. The bumper bar is great for attaching toys. My son is also small enough to use it as a footrest lol. I have the snack tray and bug net too but haven't used them yet. The backpack is also nice for when we are out and choose to swap to baby carrying. It is easier for my partner to throw it on his back and have both hands while I carry the baby.

We have the Uppababy vista v2 and absolutely love it! I will say though, while it is amazing for walks and longer excursions, it’s definitely not a put in the car because you’re going shopping kind of stroller, it’s big, bulky and heavy. I have a RAV4 and it takes up half my trunk lol We purchased a Ergobaby Metro3 (I think?) to keep in the car for short outings like that since it’s compact and a one hand fold and close!
Ergobaby metro
You aren’t going to get a travel friendly jogging stroller. I would just baby wear for hikes while travelling. For a car seat friendly travel stroller, I would recommend the ergobaby metro 3. It is newborn friendly even without the car seat as it has a bassinet mode. You would have to get a car seat that works with the adaptors. I have the older version (Metro+) and love it. It’s been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great.
Good with winter weather and easy to travel are going to be hard to find. The vista does everything but is bulky and I wouldn’t travel with it. I know people who have though. The ergobaby metro 3 is a great travel size stroller. It would probably manage a little bit of snow on the ground, but not snow drifts. It doesn’t have a detachable bassinet, but the seat does go all the way flat and the footrest flips up to create a bassinet. It is car seat compatible, but double check which ones. I would also look into babywearing, because not all babies nap nicely in the bassinet, haha (mine didn’t at 4 months).
The ergobaby metro is a great travel stroller!
Yeah, I’ve taken mine to Ireland, Mexico, and a number of trips in Canada. Been great every time!
There’s a new one, the metro 3
I love my Ergobaby Metro and it can be used from newborn.
I second the ergobaby metro. I have the metro 3 and though I haven’t flown with it yet it folds down so small. I bought the carrying case for it and we’ll be taking it on our first flight with him in a few weeks. It’s also comfy for him and has good size storage underneath. My only want is a snack tray to hold his drink and snacks
I have 2: a travel (ergobaby metro 3) and full size (mocking bird single). I bought the mockingbird second hand from fb marketplace and it’s amazing for walks in the neighborhood which I do almost every day. It’s heavy duty but turns and moves very easily. Also car seat adaptable if we want to haul it into the car and take it with us. The metrobaby 3 was a gift and has a newborn nest so can also be used from birth and is lightweight and folds very easily, so it lives in the car trunk.
I have this stroller and used it for a month with my then 5.5mo baby traveling around Europe. The recline is just a strap you tighten/loosen and the angle depends on how much you that. It's a good stroller! And if you buy on Amazon don't forget to use a baby registry for 10-15% discount
Is the metro + one hand fold/unfold? I saw some videos of it where it looked like they needed two hands to fold it which is why I got the metro 3 for our month long trip. It was so convenient to be able to hold the baby and fold up the stroller to go up escalators etc lol
Ya I think that was the only reason I went with the metro 3. The metro+ looks like it folds smaller and I was so tempted.
Metro city 3: light, easily collapsible, near flat recline with “bassinet” type feature for resting in the airport, multiple vents for air circulation - was an easy choice for us!
I purchased the Ergobaby Metro 3 yesterday after doing a lot of research and trying out a few options in store. Tbh most of the travel strollers on the market are pretty comparable. At some point you end up debating between very minor differences so it’s fully up to you what you value most. The super compact ones tend to be a little worse on the stability and suspension and are more “flimsy” if it makes sense. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Bugaboo butterfly for this reason.
Sadly you can either have: A. Bulky, heavier, good suspension, good for mixed terrain OR B. Lightweight, smaller wheels, more bumpy, not good on mixed terrain, small fold I have done so much research and tried so many and they just do not exist all in one. I do firmly believe that the top "best of both worlds" strollers with a bassinet/pramette attachment option are the Joolz Aer 2 and the Uppababy Minu V3. However, both of these are more expensive. For a more budget option, bombi bebee V2 or Ergo Metro 3. Once you pick a stroller, just look what car seats they are compatible with and just get the most affordable one. All car seats are held to the same safety standards.
With the amount of cobbles you will encounter in Italy you need something with good suspension. It was as good as non existent on the metro plus so if it's ergobaby you are keen on you should definitely consider the metro 3 over the older versions. Joolz aer also has great suspension but is also too expensive for a compact stroller IMO.
There were quite a few complaints with the old metro that seemed to be resolved in the new one. I was in your boat too but I've ordered the metro 3. I suppose you can always order them both and return the one you don't like
