"fits in overhead compartment of plane"

"the size being approved for overhead compartments in airplanes was the real deal maker. ... Not having to gate check the stroller and all the damage they typically get when doing so is well worth the price difference in our opinion."

"I also have the vista v3 and use the minu as my secondary. ... I have both in my trunk and tend to reach more for the minu just because it’s lighter and easier since I am on the smaller side 😅"

"uppababy has amazing customer service ... if you buy the travel bag and use it while flying, they will overnight you a new stroller if it breaks."

"if you use Uppababy’s travel bag and the bag or stroller are damaged, Uppababy will cover the repairs. ... Uppababy sent us a new bag as well as a new Minu frame and canopy. We just had to put the soft/fabric parts on the new frame and we were good to go! ... Their customer service is excellent."

"I have an uppababy minu and a part broke within the first year and they replaced it. ... The brakes broke 4 years later and they still replaced it."

"LOVE the one handed collapse."

"one hand compact fold"

"How it folds down and it’s fit into overhead airline bins really the main reason we bought it."

"Overall, we are very happy with the stroller and love that the undercarriage can carry 20 pounds as well. ... What drew us towards minu was the weight capacity of the under basket storage. It’s significantly higher at 20lb on minu vs the others."

"the basket is HUGE for a travel stoller ... the basket on the minu v3 is amazing (I am an overpacker)"

"My oldest and our dog will climb into the basket, putting over 70 lbs in it when it lists not to exceed 30. Still going strong!"

"The minu is basically a janky doll stroller in comparison lol. ... I can take the vista across gravel or grass with no issue. The minu is so uncomfortable for my kid and the steering is so stiff and the wheels are tiny. I never use it and wish I hadn’t ever bought it honestly!"

"Minu sucks. Almost topples over when there is strong wind or terrain that isn't a smooth sidewalk."

"It doesn’t roll through sand, dirt, non-smooth surfaces"

"I cannot fit library books, my bags, or much really in my yoyo basket. ... by library books, I mean the large children’s books. I have to unhook the basket and squeeze to get them in. I usually end of carrying them in a tote because of that hassle. ... Also, I can’t put a med sized pizza box down there."

"The basket is also tiny. ... I have to pack a different diaper bag when I use this stroller."

"The basket on the Minu is pretty small - that is something that makes it tricky for daily use. ... I’ll use the Vista at the store and not use a cart, but I can’t do that with the Minu."

"The minu v3 is technically infant compatible but I personally would not use it with an infant. ... You can’t make them parent facing and it’s not fully flat"

"I originally got a Minu V2 bc I wanted just one stroller, but that only faces out. ... my kid would want to face me instead of look outward. She would just cry and get overwhelmed. Still likes seeing me at 18 months."

"we had it with her car seat which is what we used in the early days (don't recommend). I dont like it at all."

"Great for 5months+ but not ideal prior to that. The recline isn’t enough for many parents to be comfortable with newborn floppy neck/no bassinet."

"Another downside is that I have a hard time steering it with one hand (like if I am holding a coffee)."

"the steering is so stiff"

"It’s very hard to turn one handed in comparison to the Joolz which is effortless one handed."

Then I’d lean towards the Minu V3 1) fits in overhead bin so a true travel stroller 2) UPPAbaby’s customer service is way better than Nuna’s

I wonder if the strollers are different in different markets (or regulated differently). In the US, the V3 is considered safe for infants. I got an old V2 anyway bc I wanted to use the bassinet.

What car seat do you have? Get the Minu if you already have an uppababy car seat. Otherwise I’d get something cheaper. FWIW you can usually get a V2 for 150-200 used.

The new uppababy Minu v3 is totally capable of travel and daily suburban strolls. Then when baby is 6 months old you can decide if you want a jogging stroller. But you don’t need that from newborn stage so i wouldn’t worry about it for now. Only drawback for you is the handle does not extend. It’s at an average height so see if you can check it in person.

I also have the Joolz Aer Plus and just tried out the minu v3. I had a hard time opening the minu V3. It is definitely not as smooth as the joolz. I don’t know if I got a defective one or if that’s the way it is on all. Is anyone having trouble with squeeza and fold/ unfold on minu v3? I absolutely love the one-handed fold, and the light weight of the Joolz. I hate the useless recline and the tiny under basket. The minu has a huge and capable basket and a great recline. It’s a tough choice, but it is 3 pounds heavier also

Update…. I also bought from Nordstrom and went ahead and bought a second one just to compare. it didn’t seem right. The fold on my second one so far seems flawless. I think some of the early ones that came out of the minu, V3 have this issue. Luckily I bought this before the enormous price increase.. wow $550!!!

I just bought a minu v3 and I’m having trouble getting it open. It opens like two out of three times but I find the squeeze and open mechanism to be not smooth as i hd hoped . Is anyone else having this problem?

Also, the Minu V3, at least in the US version, has a wrap around attachment thing to make it newborn ready with side protectors like a bassinet!

Oo I didn’t know the V3 was different! Exciting, the stability/suspension of the Minu combined with a smaller fold is HUGE.

I was so excited about the minu V3 and went to Nordstrom to try it out and the fold was so awkward, clunky and hard. It felt like it never locked in place when folding down either. I’m still confused on why so many are raving about it. I feel like Nordstrom wouldn’t have a defective one as their floor model so assumed all were that way.

We use the Uppababy Minu and love it. It had the easiest compact mechanism I found and it feels like it will fit my baby for a long time. It doesn't come with the snack tray but you can buy one separately!

I use the Uppababy Minu but was thissss close to getting the Bugaboo. For us we just don't travel enough to justify the extra cost of the Bugaboo even though it can go in overhead storage. We got the travel bag gifted to us so our stroller is protected on planes (if any damage happens- uppababy pays for replacement/ repairs). We also like the travel bag is backpack style. From what you listed though I would definitely go Bugaboo. And make sure to go somewhere that you can test them out! Some fold in word ways you didn't expect lol

We love the Uppababy Minu for our 25 pounder! We ended up selling our Vista once we got the Minu just because it's so much easier to handle and carry

The V3 definitely is infant compatible…and parent facing. It requires dropping the car seat in with mounted adapters

We love the Minu v3. You can buy car seat adapters for $70 or so new — cheaper used/open box. How it folds down and it’s fit into overhead airline bins really the main reason we bought it. It is great for us in NYC; good in small spaces and easy for one parent to manage if going out solo

The minu v3 is technically infant compatible but I personally would not use it with an infant. They did a better job with the infant capabilities for the Cruz V3

I have the minu v3 and the Yoyo Babyzen 2. Honestly can’t really go wrong with either of those for travel strollers. They both fold very compact. I still use my regular stroller 90 percent of the time though because travel strollers are never going to have great suspension and you do feel all the cracks and bumps of the sidewalk.

We have the minu v3. It fits in the overhead compartment of a plane, is smooth for the city and has decent storage space.

Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.

We were also looking for a overhead storable, newborn-friendly travel stroller and decided on the uppababy minu3 which also has a one-hand fold. (Unfortunately there are recent pricing increases from tariffs, but you can find several online stores that give 20% rebates/ store credit back) I know it's not one of the two you listed, but it may be a contender as it meets all three criteria.
