Redsbaby skip! They’ve just released a new model and if it was in the budget I would upgrade from the skip2 to the skip3 in a heartbeat! Compact, light, fits overhead (have flown with it many times with virgin and never been denied). Lays flat for infants too.

I took the skip3 overseas recently and honestly can’t fault it. It went on 6 different planes, was gate checked for some and carried on for others. The hood also folds down very far for when Bub is napping. Make sure you get the bar accessory. Very helpful for feeling more secure with younger Bub in the pram + it’s somewhere to loop a fan if you’re going somewhere warm (baby was also 6 months when we went on holidays). Let me know if you have any questions!

The seat sits all the way up. There’s a strap in the back that you pull to tighten to sit up and can slowly release to recline to whatever angle you want. Very simple and very easy system!

Sorry I know it’s been a while but we’ve been using it for a couple of months now. The verdict from us is that we really like it. Ultimately, most of these compact prams really are quite similar so I don’t think you can go wrong w most of them. That said, I like the size of the basket under the skip3, I find the trigger for the fold one of the easiest out of the travel prams we tried, and the material is really easy to clean/doesn’t seem like it will pill. The canopy is also fantastic for coverage and very satisfying in how it pops out. Most importantly, my son (4mo) is very comfortable in this pram. We have also used the Cybex Gazelle S and the Bugaboo Bee 6 for lengthy periods and his favourite is absolutely the Skip (he will sit in it happily for up to 1.5 hours where the others we are lucky to get 30 minutes). The downsides to this pram as an every day pram is that because it is so light you can’t really hook too much onto the handlebar without it tipping. When we use it, we can only just fit our (admittedly, large) nappy bag in the basket (or we just wear it as a backpack). This downside is presumably true for any of these travel prams, though. We would probably have bought the bassinet attachment if he was an infant just so that we can see him in the early months also. Otherwise, definitely recommend!

The skip3 is one handed fold though. I got one for $400 on sale the other week from their website. It’s pretty good. Small basket etc but totally doable. I think I’ll start using as the main pram for my 11 month old now.

Just bought the Redsbaby skip! Can't wait to use it. Felt sturdier than the buggagoo and joelaer.

Yes. Love it.! Love everything about it. We bought out skip 2 brand new whole set and then sold it for a decent price and then put the money into skip 3. We love the... The one hand fold. The bigger basket ( it is substantially bigger than the skip 2) The bumper bar ( my little one loves putting his leg on it like he is some kindda big thug) lol. The safety seatbelts it is super sturdy and thick. The suspension wheels. ( If U check out the butterfly and joolz aer the wheels are both small all 4 of them) The hood. If u look on the second hand like fb marketplace so many people are selling their butterly and joolz aer... I feel like everyone wants the skip 3. Lol. Oh and the price point. Can't complain at all. And ohhhh you can buy the newborn bassinet that you can use on the skip 3... And you can fold the skip 3 with the baseinet in it... The only thinggg is you can't attach the buggy board on the skip 3 given how compact and light it is.. but that's ok. If we need to attach a buggy board we rather go to our main strollers jive 5 which we absolutely love as well.

I also liked the fact that the rear wheels are wider than the front wheels in skip2, so felt more sturdy and less prone to tip. Not sure why bugaboo butterfly, joolz and yoyo all have narrow rear wheels.

Love my SKIP 3. No complaints at all. Canopy is great. Has a foot rest. A handle bar. One hand fold. The buckles are sturdy. The rear wheels are bigger compared to the butterfly and Joel's Aer ( if I'm not wrong). ..the onlyyyy thing you can't do with the skip 3 is you can't attach a buggy board on it.).

We got the skip 3 recently and am loving it so far. Had the yoyo 2 previously that I got second hand off fb marketplace and so many little things annoyed me so I wanted to replace it. Also liked the Joolz aer bt the price was a bit steep and skip was just a bit cheaper. Bugaboo looks good too (sister has it) but it didn’t have a bassinet option that I wanted in case for bubs coming in November.

We got a single to double (Cybex gazelle) and like it as a single. Our second is due in November so yet to know what it’s like as a double. But honestly if I was to do it all over again, I would get a travel pram that comes with a bassinet option (Redsbaby Skip 3, Yoyo or Joolz Aer+) and then use that as the primary pram. It’s small compact, you won’t need to buy another thing if you travel and it’s so easy to put in and out of car etc. If you then become pregnant with a second and realise you’ll benefit from a double pram- then get the big double pram. The reality is you never know when you might fall pregnant with a second. And so you don’t know what the age gap might be. You might even be able to just use a single pram + toddler board if it’s a large enough age gap. For reference, we got the skip 3 and it’s great. We had the yoyo - don’t love it. The Joolz aer looks really good and I sort of wish I got that when i was picking between Joolz and yoyo. But skip 3 is new and more reasonable price than Joolz.

Hey, glad to find you asked the question - we have been tossing up between butterfly and skip3 also. We have ordered the skip 3 after demo day but not 100% sure it will arrive before our trip - we are considering butterfly on lay-by as a backup. Worth skip 3 if you have time as can do 30 day indoor trial and return if you don't like it. The skip 3 edged on the butterfly bc 1. better sunshade protection (I think one of the Australian designed aspects that is important) 2. cheaper 3. lie flat seat 4. sub 7kg - can take on plane. We paid extra around $30 for bumper bar and $25 for express shipping (10$ more than standard) and got free rain cover and sunshade extension. Butterfly - slightly easier 1 handed fold down - but both equally easy to pull up. Also slightly better manoeuvrability and quality of fabric. We did note the one in store had quite pulled fabric as you mentioned but I assumed it had been used and tested A LOT. Butterfly also has a slightly wider seat (don't think necessarily than much longer although unable to do side by side comparison). Sadly the memo used to stock both pram brands but no longer do reds baby. I think reds baby keep their prices lower by not succumbing to price gouging by the likes of baby bunting etc just MHO. Have found deals to get Butterly at similar price to reds baby and if it wasn't for the weight butterfly might win. Had a quick look at other well rated ones - Joolz has a short seat and no foot rest and small basket and city jogger doesn't have as good suspension so probably fine in airport but not on bumpy European streets for example. Yoyo also quite a bumpy experience have heard.

I’ve done international travel with the Skip2 and it was easy to use. The Skip3 has a bigger basket and better fold function and I’m considering upgrading for the next overseas trip but that’ll likely be the last time I need it, so I probably won’t.

The Redsbaby Skip2 is not a one hand fold either. It has a very small basket but I fit a surprising amount of small things (water bottles, lunchboxes, light jackets) in it when travelling. It is lightweight and very compact when packed. I use it for travel (fits in the overhead on a plane and has a travel bag) and in my small second car, with our full size pram being in the main car.
