I found a really great workaround that practically solved my PPI issue with text. I just bought the LG 39" OLED WQHD Curved Monitor (39GS96QB, deal from Costco) and immediately noticed the fuzzy text issue. I asked ChatGPT and it prompted me to search "`Adjust ClearType text`" This worked amazingly well and now I am not struggling to read things on a white backdrop. Exact steps: * **Search**: `Adjust ClearType text` in Windows search * Go through the wizard and choose the clearest text in each step. * This helps Windows adapt to the subpixel layout of your OLED.

I like my new 39" UW over my 32", but it's not all about pure size. The refresh rate is better and it's OLED. It's also lower resolution, so there are trade-offs. Deco Gear makes a 40" 4K UW, but it's only 60 or 75 hz. There aren't really any UWs bigger than 34" that are budget-friendly, so if cost is an issue you might just wanna go with a 34" UW to give yourself a ton more buying options.

my current desk is 55.1" x 23.6", a bit off from your dimensions i used to run dual 32" for content consumption and gaming(both console and PC), i did run dual monitor arms for the displays and to me it didn't feel like they both were too wide for my desk with them going over a bit on each side. gaming and web browsing were the priority for that setup. next setup was with an 49" Samsung(for gaming and productivity), the dual 32s' mounted to the wall atop the 49" were for things like discord, emails and web browsing. though i enjoyed all the screen real estate, it didn't last long and thoughts of sizing down became paramount. i thought "how about" an single 34" but having 32" displays it didn't feel right, then i thought 45" LG Ultragear OLED but after owning the 49" (to me) that was still a tad bit wide for what i wanted. i ended up with an newly purchased(earlier this month) 39" LG Ultragear OLED. FOR ME it checks all the things i was looking for as far as size, specs and use. I use it for photo/video editing via my new mac mini m4 and def for FPS gaming(again console and PC). HDR when gaming has been an eye opener and game changer on this display. in my opinion, the 39" compliments MY desk's dimensions. On an monitor arm and positioned directly in the middle of the desk at arms length. haha, sorry for the looong read. good luck with whatever you decide.

I had a LCD Alienware 4k 38". I decided to go down to 2k with the LG 39 OLED and I love it. I will mever go back down the size of a monitot noe, the nrxt shpuld be 45" which I believr is the sweet spot for my gaming. Ngl you are gonna like itz and text is easily readable

For immersion in adventure games or racing get the 39. If PPI matters get the 34. What made me return the 39 and get the 34 was the fringing and how everything looks stretched. In competitive games you will noticed a bunch of artifacts, jagged edges, and text fringing. Dota 2 for example, after a match I was so exhausted that I couldn't even look at the screen anymore. Same for Age of Empires.

If you can get the older 39" without the smart features at a good discount, and have a newer nvidia GPU and run dldsr, you can run 5120x2160 on the 1440p model.

I have a 39" LG W-OLED 240Hz and I love it, if they had the 45" in stock at the time I would have taken it.

I've got an LG 39" 3440x1440 monitor now. I've been contemplating getting that around black Friday when there are sales at my local microcenter

I got mine Friday to replace my 39" 3440x1440 Ultragear and I have zero regrets. It's incredible and makes for the best gaming experience I've had hands down.
