MSI - MAG 341CQP QD-OLED

The 341CQP is decent. The reality is basically every OLED is excellent, and the difference between the MSI model with a particular spec and another is what the plastic around it looks like because they're exactly the same monitors inside. Its using a first gen QD-OLED desktop panel, which means the text & desktop rendering will be a little fuzzy due to a peculiar subpixel layout, and blacks look kind of purple in ambient light (an issue all QD-OLEDs have, but was especially pronounced on the first gen models). But otherwise, it'll be an amazing gaming and movie watching monitor, especially in a dim or dark room. I noticed that link has you searching for the 341CQP**X**, which is the 240hz version of that monitor. It's a little curious that Amazon France doesn't have it, but that's fine, it's more like 800 euros at the moment.

I have the MSI one and their OLED care features are great. Build quality is great, software is easy to use and update. Had to use their RMA for something related to the power and they sent a new monitor in a week, no questions asked. My only problem with it is that there's no option to see total use hours.

I got a few months old 2nd handed MSI mag 341cqpx QD oled for 521 pounds(new one 600-700), that one I mentioned without an "x" MSI mag 341cqp QD oled even cheaper, so the market in Norway is very bad though.

I had the same Alienware and switched to a C3 42” but I just couldn’t cope with the size. Ended up going back to the Alienware, but once I had 4K, I couldn’t live without it. Eventually I bought an MSI 4K 34” OLED and I love it. I hope you really enjoy the C4. I have one in the living room and it’s great.

MSi mag341cqp - 650. You really shouldn’t spend a lot for a 34” qd-oled.

Go for the MSi 341cqp. It uses dp 1.4a and hdmi 2.1 which is better compared to dwf dp 1.4 and hdmi 2.0. The MSi also has usb c so you can easily connect a laptop to it. I got the dwf and have no complaints but … I would choose the MSi now with what I know and need compared to when I got the dwf.

You really can’t get better at this time. 34” oled - 165/175hz to 240hz, many solid options here from lg, Samsung, MSi, Dell, asus….currently, I think the 341cqp and 341cqpx are the best of this category. 49” oled - 144hz to 240hz, same as the above. MSi has the 491cqp and 491cqpx which I am interested in. The new lg 45” 5k2k oled … it’s nice but I’m really waiting for a 40” 5k2k oled. I think that size to resolution would be amazing.

Aw3423dwf is a fine option but there are some better options. -dwf has hdmi 2.0 and dp 1.4. 341cqp - same panel as dwf but it has hdmi 2.1 and dp 1.4a and usb c dp alt support. 341cqpx - updated version so 240hz and usb c has enough power to charge a laptop and connect to monitor -one cable for both charging and connecting.

Go for the Dell aw3425dw or MSi 341cqpx for oled. If your in the us and want something cheaper, check out m34wq from Best Buy.. it’s a solid low cost IPs ultrawide.

Not sure if you've made any decisions yet, but anyway, I've used this monitor (MAG341CQP) for the past 10 months for gaming (CS2 and indie games mostly) and I'm a full time software engineer so I spend all day writing in a text editor. This is my WFH monitor fyi. Text quality looks basically the same as my 27inch 1440p IPS monitor (Acer Nitro KGB271U bmiipx), and it's a significant step up from the 1080p 240hz 24inch monitor I used in the past (Zowie XL 2546), but it's also significantly worse than my 4k 28inch that I use in the office (Nitro XV282K V3bmiiprx). Also for competitive gaming, the MAG341CQP absolutely destroys the Zowie 240hz I mentioned earlier. sure it's a slower refresh rate, but the perceived motion clarity is amazing with OLED because there is absolutely no image ghosting that I can see.

Random luck getting both at end of 2024 and early 2025 Original plan was the Intel Arc B580 and was going to use an extra AMD 5700X for CPU I had lying around. Ordered B580 via New Egg and got it in late December 2024. This all white build for my bedroom so I wanted to go SFF. I need a mini-ITX motherboard but none were in stock at the time. Got random alert about Amazon having 9800X3d in stock early Jan 2025, I figured I'd try but assumed it would just be out of stock and the order ended up going through and I got the CPU at MRSP mid Jan. As for the games I play, a bit of everything Main games FFXIV - max settings and I get 70-100 FPS depending on area and amount of stuff going on Overwatch: max settings I can get 160-200 FPS FF 7 Remake/Rebirth - mid settings I can get low 50's to 60's Cyberpunk 2077 high settings with RT low and I get 60-70ish FPS Black Myth Wukong is rough though. low settings with upscaling and I get high 40's to low 50's FPS Now I know I am leaving performance on the table with the GPU + CPU pairing I am running and some people heads are exploding, I don't care. Tried of NGreedia and AMD dominating the GPU market, We need competition and a 3rd option for a healthy GPU gaming market overall.
