"Suction wise I think it's even better than S9+. ... I think it's great. ... because I feel this cleans better than S9+. ... 705 I find does a better job of vacuuming carpets than even the beast that was S9+."

"did a fantastic job of vacuuming pet hair ... happily being busy getting up the pet hair ... I love this thing despite its flaws."

"I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge."

"being cordless and effective for what I need. ... For some the tradeoff for cordless, no bags, good suction, etal means we vacuum more than we otherwise would. ... I never would have thought I'd defend a near $1,000 cordless vacuum but I got one as a gift and will never buy anything different now."

"One thing I really love is how it came with two batteries. ... Never have I ran out of a charge."

"price of replacement parts is a huge reason i recommend sebo vacuums."

"If you buy a Sebo, the manual comes with an exploded parts diagram where you can buy each and every part."

Hab seit 4 Jahren einen Dyson V10 Absolute und bin total zufrieden. Akku hält bis heute um auf hoher Stufe bei haarendem Hund Zuhause über 100qm zu saugen - und habe immernoch genug Kapazität

this is a great review and I share similar sentiments. I missed out on a lightly used Felix in white (even though I have a minty one in Onyx as one of our daily drivers). The vacuum albeit heavy and not very stable when using the hose (tends to tip over) that it is a crazy powerful vacuum cleaner that gets the job done and you can just FEEL the quality built into this thing. I would have ZERO hesitations recommendation Sebo vacuums and I'm not even a vacuum sales person - just someone that really enjoys the fine high quality engineering and build quality of their vacuums. While I admit that we also like our Dyson V10 absolute a lot for the day to day light cleanups that for the deep cleaning of the shag rug and hardwood floors that the Felix or his canister brother the D4 is always used to give everything a very very VERY deep cleaning. My spouse has suggested I get rid of one of our Sebos is "never in a million years will I give up the units we currently own".

You won’t be able to buy a corded Dyson with power head but the rationale behind them discontinuing them because 1. They don’t make as much with a corded vac and 2. By popular demand people want portability and convenience. Sell what people mostly want and mark it up like crazy. Why anyone would pay $1000+ for a Dyson cordless stick vac goes beyond me. Rather than thinking that seeing the dust in the clear bin and then having to deal with the gnarly dust in the dust bin every time you vacuum focus on a vacuum that can really get the dirt out. Brands like sebo and Miele are constantly recommended here because they have incredible cleaning capabilities and the long term quality to boot. While you won’t be able to see the dirt that you certainly will feel it and the quality of the vacuum will be LIGHT years ahead of Dyson. Alternatively you can start hoarding some Dyson vacs now while they’re still kicking around but that takes up space and requires effort to find a good working example that you can store for future use. I have a Dyson V10 and mostly like it for its battery life and general suction power. What I loathe is the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. So much cheap plastic and non interchangeable parts between pretty much every generation of vacuum! Why can’t I use my DC35 accessory kit with my V10? Pretty much have to consistently repurchase everything over and over which seems quite wasteful. Let your tactile feel be your new psychological motivator. You CAN feel the difference with a high vacuum. I’d hold off until your Dyson completely does as sebo and Miele will be around for a long long time…. But when you really need one or keep you eyes open for a gently used one and save some money.

r/VacuumCleanersAre cordless vacuums really useless at picking up dust and dog hair?

No that’s not true at all. I have a Dyson v10 and it picks up sorts of things. Will it suck nearly as hard as my Sebo or central vac? Nope but it does a decent job of maintence cleaning. A relative of mine has two cats and two dogs and he has a v11 and it works fine there too in conjunction with his central vac.

I'm not sure if I agree that there isn't suction (there is indeed a decent amount of suction) and as a V10 and V11 user that while I actually dislike Dyson A LOT that their vacuums have their place. Permitted you got them on a deep discount then they're alright for light clean up jobs. I never agreed with their marketing to say they can replace a full sized vacuum or have more suction. They're cheaply built, have rather pricey consumable and worst of all they have the gross bin that puffs out a nasty dust cloud every time you empty them. I'm very much a SEBO user (have 3 + central vac) but the Dyson and even roombas are used for the quick pick ups and maintenance vacs.

I bought a V10 absolute on Black Friday back in 2018 and it was used almost daily up until a few months ago. Battery is starting to show its age, but still holds at least 3/4 its original capacity. I’ve replaced the washable filter and the top canister gasket once each, and done a partial tear down to blow it out with compressed air twice. I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth out of it

Our Dyson V10 with anti hair brush head seems to work well at not tangling up long hair. Check out vacuum wars on YouTube.

Hab nen Dyson V10 Absolut. Hab den in 2020 gekauft. Läuft noch wie am 1. Tag.

r/VacuumCleanersIve been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom.

My Dyson V10 Absolute dates from Dec, 2019, and is still working with the original battery. True, the batter doesn't last as long now. But, overall, the vacuum works well on our hard surfaces (most of the house) picking up German Shepherd Dog hair. I have been, and still am, considering a bagged canister, but each time I start looking, my brain gets tired.

r/VacuumCleanersThoughts on the Dyson V10 Animal+ for $400?

Just picked one up on fb market place with a boat load of attachments for $120. SV27 which should be the v10 animal or absolute. I know batteries so I plan to rebuild the pack or run an adapter for m18 batteries like i’ve done on older models (not advised) once the cells wear

r/HomeImprovementSmall apartment + pet hair, is a cordless vacuum actually worth it or should I stick to a regular one?

I would absolutely recommend one. I lived in a small apartment with my boyfriend when we got 2 cats, and our vacuum was also corded and bulky, which definitely made us dread vacuuming and not doing it quite as often as we should. We ended up getting a Dyson v10 (Woot has sales on Dyson vacuums all the time, so it was <$300) and LOVE it. It worked so much better than the older vacuum we were using at the time, and it makes getting it out and using it *so* incredibly easy, so I was vacuuming all the time. My only concern was that it might not cut it once I bought a house, which I did 3 years ago, but I'm still using it as my vacuum! It honestly works great, and it has enough charge to vacuum both of the two stories of my house. I actually got a hard floor vacuum head for the downstairs since the floor is vinyl there, and it works fantastic on that as well. **Edit**: I'll add that my parents, who would always have the most ridiculous and hard to use vacuums ended up getting a cordless one as well - the Wyze cordless one, which is a lot cheaper than a Dyson - and they love theirs as well (and they even have a fairly large house to vacuum, plus 2 dogs - 3 when they initially bought it).

r/VacuumCleanersDO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this)

I’ve had two. The Dyson v8 absolute. And the 10. Both are spectacular batteries have never had an issue. Have dogs and 4 girls. If you take care of them they take care of you. Clean them out once or twice a year. Sorry to hear about everyone’s bad luck. Maybe I got two well made ones not sure. But we used both daily and never had a single issue. Going on 8 yrs and they both still run great. Still same factory batteries. Old one went up to our camp when we bought the new one. Used the one at camp 3 weeks ago not a single issue. Sorry you all hate Dyson so bad but I’m on the other side on this one
