"battery lasts me forever, I charge it once a week and I game every day."

"especially because of the battery life. ... The mouse I had right before this was the steelseries super light one, that was an every other day charge at minimum. Whereas this one is like once a week at most - and I work from home and game all night."

"Oh, and the battery lasts days even when exercising a lot (weeks without excercise)."

"I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge."

"being cordless and effective for what I need. ... For some the tradeoff for cordless, no bags, good suction, etal means we vacuum more than we otherwise would. ... I never would have thought I'd defend a near $1,000 cordless vacuum but I got one as a gift and will never buy anything different now."

"One thing I really love is how it came with two batteries. ... Never have I ran out of a charge."

"if you also regularly use Bluetooth on the go, then Astro isn for you as the Bluetooth is on the dock and not on the headset ... Astro is definitely not worth the price when the Bluetooth is on the dock. That was a stupid thing to do, because anyone who buys a headset with Bluetooth would want to use the headset away from their set up and Bluetooth on the go"

"The Aqua10 clogged with dog hair even with the high-frequency emptying setting enabled—which was one of my main reasons for wanting this robot in the first place. ... Clogged again the following day. It really doesn't like dog hair. ... The Aqua10 has now clogged for the second time with dog hair after being run multiple times a day over the last few days. ... I woke up to a other dog hair clog. In the weeks with the Flow I never had a clog. I know I mentioned it a lot, but I don’t have that much dog hair that it should be clogging a robot vacuum. ... I would be highly cautious with the Aqua10/MOVA Z60 if you have pets. It's just a poor dust bin design all around."

"the amount of dog hair / ETC it can get out of the carpet vs the Dyson Cordless cannot be compared."

"the Aqua10 clogged twice in 3 days running the same floors daily as the Flow"

I got the Dyson animal v10 for my second stick vacuum, it gets my wife's hair without jamming the beater bar so it should handle the pet fur that it's designed for. They will eventually die, but I'll get another dyson stick in 5+ years when that happens, for my 2200 sq ft home

I had a Dyson v10 animal and used it twice a day for about 7 years then the trigger got stuck, I fixed it. Then the battery died, bought a new one. Then the trigger got stuck again and a friend did it for me… and it stopped working. lol Anyway, would love the Dyson v15 detect but too expensive when there are so many other options. Over 6 months I was given 3 sharks. ALL OF THEM HORRIBLE! lol Spit litter out and all over the place, some wasn’t picked up at all. On Amazon, was between Smoture, Unicell, rendow, and Jellypig. Took time to search the reviews about comparisons to a Dyson vs wanting a Dyson but not affording it and trying whichever one. Your review pushed me over! Thanks!!! And I got it for $132!! You still liking it? What made you choose that one?

r/CleaningTipsAre Dyson vacuums really worth it? V11 is now under $400 and I'm tempted

I had a Dyson v10 animal from Costco and used it twice a day for well, every day! lol carpet, stairs, tile and a 1700 square foot house with two cats. It gave out after many moves (a friend broke I think) and I was given three sharks. All horrible. Spit litter back OUT. lol Got a cheap Amazon jellypig/ way better than the shark, not even close to Dyson. But it was only $132 from $229. I hear smoture and dsorpa or fieety are good but I bet they’re the same. Will try one more and then if it’s not good, getting a refurbed v11 or v12. My friend’s v8 Dyson is still going strong at a decade. :)

r/VacuumCleanersThoughts on the Dyson V10 Animal+ for $400?

I have this vacuum. I got it cheaper than this several years ago from Costco- I think around Christmas. If you have a pet with coarse hair, do not get this. I have a corgi and the way this vacuum is made, everything it sucks up is forced through an awkward rectangle that is less than an inch wide. My corgis fur clogs it up almost immediately and I have to pry his fur out of it with my fingers/butter knives/chopsticks/whatever I can angrily find. I spend way more time unclogging the thing than actually using it. I did not mount mine and therefore do not leave it charging 24/7, I only charge it when it dies, but two of my friends had the same vacuums and had them mounted and the batteries died within a year or two. Dyson told one of them that they aren’t meant to be charging all the time and it affects how long the battery will last.

Yo. I like my Dyson wireless vacuum. But, I only like the V10 animal. We got the newer model and it’s shit. They fucked it all up. I returned it. The v10 (without the worthless graphic/dust screen display) has a switch for 3 settings and on Medium it is perfect. The new ones just don’t do “medium” as strong. Here’s the kicker, I get mine on EBay refurbished from the Dyson store for like $200. I’m telling you, it’s the best loop hole for an excellent vacuum. To be clear, if you look for a v10, it needs to be without the display screen. The ones with the screen fucked up the suction settings.

r/AskUKWhat cordless vacuum cleaners are actually worth buying, but don’t break the bank?

Breaking the bank is subjective but my Dyson v10 animal lives up to the name. Does the whole house in a full charge (might need emptying more than once) but it’s so small and light and comes with great attachments such as the hard floor attachment with a green laser to show up all the dust and hairs. I believe you can pick up a refurbished one (mine came with a brand new battery) for in the £2-300 range. Just saw the end of your post. Mate just save a bit extra and get a Dyson. Bite whatever bit of pride you have against them and just get the superior product for a cleaner house.

r/CatAdviceCan someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?!

I bought the Dyson V10 Animal back in 2019. It really helps with all the cat hair. Pricey but works great and is still going strong 6 years later.

Yeah they do have great support and warranty is 2 years so I appreciate that about Dyson. I do really love Dyson stick vacuums. I also have a v10 pet and it has been issue free for 2 years. It doesn't have the detect feature.

Maybe check out the Bissell Powerclean Furguard Deluxe. Paid about $150 for it at Costco, on sale (normally about $200). We also have a Dyson V10 Animal. Although the Dyson is lighter, I honestly prefer the Bissell. Quieter, does a great job on floors and with the furballs and dirt, easy to empty, and comes with 2 batteries, so double the runtime. I like the LED lights which illuminate dirt on the floor you may miss. A battery seems to last about 30-40 min on low (and most of the time, low is all we need on the hardwood). Not really running it in carpet much (our downstairs is all hardwood and tile and that is where both the Dyson and this sucker live). 5 yr warranty and from what I read when researching before purchase, Bissell also has good customer support. Have only had it for a few weeks, so can’t give long-term review yet, but so far, so good.
