"battery lasts me forever, I charge it once a week and I game every day."
"especially because of the battery life. ... The mouse I had right before this was the steelseries super light one, that was an every other day charge at minimum. Whereas this one is like once a week at most - and I work from home and game all night."
"Oh, and the battery lasts days even when exercising a lot (weeks without excercise)."

"it's a dream/works so well. ... I am shocked (kinda disgusted at times!) at how much it picks up."
"Numatic (the ones with the faces on them) have fantastic suction power"
"then I have a Henry for the big dirty jobs - those things are tanks. ... then a Henry for the big jobs."

"I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge."
"being cordless and effective for what I need. ... For some the tradeoff for cordless, no bags, good suction, etal means we vacuum more than we otherwise would. ... I never would have thought I'd defend a near $1,000 cordless vacuum but I got one as a gift and will never buy anything different now."
"One thing I really love is how it came with two batteries. ... Never have I ran out of a charge."

"The no bag is a feature for some of us not a defect. ... I dont make a mess emptying it vs making a mess swapping bags - cause I overfill it. That's a me thing but it's a consistent me thing and I dont have to worry about it with the Dyson."
"it doesn’t have a bag"
"Why is no bags a bad thing? ... if you have an easy way to go outside like the garage, then emptying a cannister isn't hard at all. ... You don't have to replace bags or worry about them running out. ... I don't like the thought of having an additional part to replace constantly and don't want to go through the effort of stocking up bags. ... God forbid you're out of bags unexpectedly when vacuuming."

"you can buy replacement parts for under $40ish dollars. ... I have replaced battery, brush attachment, stick attachment, etc. - they are amazing."
"My beater moondrop space travels. If they break, I can replace them for less than the price of [this] clif kid z bar variety pack at costco."
"If it breaks its only $20-30 for a new one, or just get it replaced with warranty."

"The usb doesn’t work anymore. ... It just makes a nonstop sound screeching sounds whenever a sound it played through them. ... That happened within the first month of having them."
"The out of warranty repair cost was 75% of what a new one would cost so I chucked it."
"battery died just months after warranty expired."

"The dust bin broke 3 times. ... The wand broke 3 times. ... The red clip button broke 4 times. ... The battery broke once."
"My seventh Fitbit died last week (from Luxe to Versa to Charge 5 and 6, this was my second in-warranty replacement), white line on the screen to no screen at all within 24 hours."

"the amount of dog hair / ETC it can get out of the carpet vs the Dyson Cordless cannot be compared."
"the cordless Dyson isn’t that great for carpet/rugs ... I have the old school Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner and it’s sooo much better for rugs"
"The other head without the spinner is fucking ridiculously strong. ... I cannot vacuum a rug with it because it sucks so hard. ... I have to hold one side down with my foot and pull away and it's still hard haha."

"I hate to hold pressing the power button all the time."
"I couldn’t get over having to press the button down the entire time vacuuming."
"My v15 detect has been nothing but problems. ... I was having an issue where I would start the vacuum and it would cut power. Repress the trigger it would run for another few seconds then cut power. ... the first time they sent a new battery. It made the problem even worse."

"The Dyson battery was internal so you can't swap out a battery if it dies on you."
"replacing a vacuum that died (Dyson) ... I will have probably bought 2-3 dysons in that time period"
I used to use a ShopVac wet and dry unit, but when I got to try a Dyson for my cars, I just had to get one for them.
I use my Dyson on eco mode for the washable rugs and it works! I can't use it on auto/regular or heavy mode or it sucks them up.
I have a Dyson V8 and a V11 Torque handheld on fake wood floors right now. They were good for the hair but TRASH at picking up litter. Probably would be better picking it up off carpet.
I just returned the Dyson V11 despite the fact that it had the strongest suction power of any cordless vacuum we've tried, and it's because of the trigger, which also makes it difficult to maneuver. The fact that they haven't created a vacuum with an on and off button is pretty ridiculous. Not worth $400+.
I just got the v11 plus for $399 on sale. It definitely has better suction power than the v10. So I wouldn't pay that price for the 10 whatsoever. Either way, I'm returning mine. Even though the suction power is fantastic, it's hard to maneuver (likely because it suctions so well) and hate that it doesn't have an on and off button like other cordless vacuums. Instead, you have to press the button the entire time as you're vacuuming. That, combined with it being top heavy, makes it a no-go for me. Search Vacuum Wars videos on YT for recommendations.

I like mine a lot, but the biggest thing that bothers me is the battery. It doesn’t last quite long enough to vacuum my living room, kitchen, and back room. And it takes like 5 hours to charge. So vacuuming takes planning and I can’t get it all done at once anymore. My next vacuum will be a ryobi cordless.
Mine is definitely over 5 years at this point and the only issue is some battery degradation on max power mode. Ive used it almost daily this whole time.
I bought a Dyson v11 a few years ago. Used it for a good few years consistently. One day found a crack in the top cannister - that quickly became larger and became a hole. At which point suction dropped significantly. When calling up Dyson I’m not covered by warranty any longer - fine, I just want a working Vacuum. When asked for the replacement part, it would cost $200-300 dollars to replace. Annoying - fine, I just want a working Vacuum, asap. They don’t have the replacement part in stock, and I’d need to call back when they do. When I asked, how would I know when they have it in stock to know when to callback, I just got a blank response from the customer service rep saying that’s the process all their other customers have to go through to. 1) why do they have so many customers with broken Dyson devices 2) If this is a common fault in the V11, that they’ve run out of stock of this part, why the hell not keep more inventory. It was this day I decided I am an avid-Dyson hater, and will not buy another one of their overpriced, plastic, made in China products.
Bought a V11 too. It’s so fucking good.
My Dyson v11 is 3 years old. Broker trigger, then staying on, then the canister latch broke. Plus various cracks in the handle close to the battery. The performance is great, the quality is shit, customer support is just a L on the forehead, a raspberry and a middle finger. I already have a miele c3, I love the dyson's washable filters and performance, but such shitty plastic and generally low quality for that price is unacceptable. I'm also looking for a good stick vac that doesn't tangle with long hairs and has decent washable filters but am trying my best to avoid Dyson.
Wife and I have a Dyson V11 cordless and been using it with no problem for almost a decade now. Are we just incredibly lucky? Reading the hate in this sub makes it seem as if we won the lottery with our personal experience lol Albeit we clean ours periodically.
