"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."
"With three they can just make it to a full week for emptying. ... Life changing."
"I have one teenager who’s messy and a dog who sheds like it’s her job. It’s been a game changer."

"They always miss the entire point of a dyson, which is completely convenience. ... I don't want to lug around a bagged vacuum, I don't want to have to plug it in, dyson retains the build & performance but makes it cordless and quiet."
"I love how light this thing Is you can flick it to next week! ... it's only 59g, so it's super light ... at first it was weird and I didn't lime it but it soon swooned me and I can't even use another mouse they're too heavy haha."
"after shifting to deathadder 59g feel much better."

"the most convenient, literally able to reload the headset battery (2 come with box) and charge in DAC or just USB C to headset"
"the inter-changeable batteries is a very nice feature that has saved my gaming sessions a good few times."
"the cherry on top is the swapable batteries. ... If swapping batteries is too hard for you, you probably struggle with a lot of things lol"

"I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge."
"being cordless and effective for what I need. ... For some the tradeoff for cordless, no bags, good suction, etal means we vacuum more than we otherwise would. ... I never would have thought I'd defend a near $1,000 cordless vacuum but I got one as a gift and will never buy anything different now."
"One thing I really love is how it came with two batteries. ... Never have I ran out of a charge."

"I couldn’t get over having to press the button down the entire time vacuuming."
"My v15 detect has been nothing but problems. ... I was having an issue where I would start the vacuum and it would cut power. Repress the trigger it would run for another few seconds then cut power. ... the first time they sent a new battery. It made the problem even worse."

I have the v8 slim for almost 4 years and it's still going strong.
For me, with three long-haired cats, my Dyson stick saves my life. I got the one at Costco-V something. On full strength I use it on my few rugs , but I keep it on the middle strength for all my other floors. The battery life at full power is pretty short (20 mins) but at least 30-40 mins in the middle setting. I live on a single floor condo so it works perfectly for me.
Dyson V8 slim. Been using for past 4 years. Tineco S5 pro. Using for the past 1 years. Also got a robot vacuum S5 from roborock but experience with it was terrible.
Dyson v12 detect slim (the one with laser). Bought last year 7.7 sale. Before that was using Dyson v8 slim.
We have a German Shepherd Collie mix, and he sheds so much! We also had a white cat that shed a lot of visible hair. The hair becomes tumbleweeds on the floor. We purchased a robot vacuum that runs once a day, and we also have a Dyson with a special, fluffy brush designed to pick up pet hair. It's amazing! We also have a big lint roller brush that is not the plastic one, it's like velcro and picks up any fur on you or furniture. The dog sleeps on the bed with us, so I lint roll it once a day! If you have carpets, get a soapy bucket and rubber gloves and scrape the glove over the carpets or use a brush, it's amazing for getting rid of a lot of inbedded hair. Try that at least once a month. I hope this all helps you x
Shark Detect Pro or Dyson V8 (Fluffy head) are solid picks. No beater bar, good for hard floors. Both usually in that price range if on sale. EU stockists have ’em!
Han den Dyson Slim und bin damit zufrieden
We have 1 dog and hardwoods: dyson v8.
If I’m being 100% honest I used to be a Dyson hater (I’ve used $1200 Miele vacuums my entire life) but my Dyson v8 cordless slaps. We have a husky who sheds like crazy. I run it on turbo all the time and it does a great job. It’s on the top end of your budget but sometimes there’s deals
All the time. My gf is a sucker for fluffy rugs, you know, the ones that look like you skinned a Wooly mammoth? The Dyson does really well on it surprisingly. I just measured it for you, the carpet has like 1.25” tall strands, so pretty fluffy. Even though I love my Miele, the Dyson beater bar is hands down the best I’ve seen for keeping hair from getting tangled in it. Their little spiral thing is amazingly designed. My ONLY gripe on that vacuum is lack of suction on low mode. I wish they would have bumped that up a notch or two, as I really don’t need 30 minutes of runtime or whatever it lasts.
Honestly it’s not bad all all. It’s got that annoying high pitched Dyson whine, but that’s just the nature of the beast. Turbo gets loud but certainly not earplugs territory lol. It still irritates me that I’m recommending this thing. I want to hate Dyson so bad 😂
Avoid the V15 - repeated power/motor issues. From what I can tell, only the V8 is still recommended here.
