r/VacuumCleanersWhy such high vacuum requirements but want to pay under $150-$200 USD?

There is no such thing as a “self cleaning brushroll” without compromising something. Hair still wraps in the bearings and that’s where the damage really happens. Most self cleaning brushrolls compromise on deep cleaning. The best brushroll for hair wrap is the SEBO cassette design With the variety of flooring and needs, I’m thinking a Kenmore 200 or 400 series might be your best bet. Bagged vacuums have more airflow, lower maintenance, better filtration, etc. pet hair compacts in the bags. With so many different needs, I think this might be the best bet for $200. The difference between the 200 and 400 are an adjustable wand, the power switch is on the handle, adjustable suction, and better filtration.

r/VacuumCleanersBest Vacuum <$200 (Cordless or cord, hopefully good on carpet)

Kenmore is your best bet. I’m not a fan of the 200 series (although it cleans well) it’s very compromised (short cord and hose). Look at the 400 series or 600 series if you can catch it on a sale. Or a Kenmore Intuition BU4050 if you like uprights.

Yep you’re on the right track. If you can get the carpet out first, you could do a simplicity Jill (it’s better built than the mighty mite) neither of these will do carpet well. Or if not grab a Kenmore 200/400 series.

The Kenmore 400 is a solid model.

r/VacuumCleanersQuality vacuum I can pick up in person?

Kenmores may be available in some Kohls. They aren’t BIFL, however they ARE going to last for awhile (treat it nicely). Kenmore 400/600 series.

r/VacuumCleanersBest vacuum for 50/50 floors, 4000 sq feet
12 months ago

If you can manage the $800ish mark a Sebo E3 Premium or Miele C1 Cat Dog are some of the best options you have. They are BIFL models and should last you 10-20 years as long as you treat them nicely and use genuine filters and bags. Understandably, if you can’t hit that price point the Kenmore 400/600 series canisters are good and around $300ish. The build quality isn’t as good as their German counterparts but they still perform quite well and again, if treated nicely, should last awhile. If you have a local Miele/Sebo dealer and want to go that route, check them out and take them for a spin. A canister is definitely the best option for you based on a 50/50 split.

I always recommend the 400 over the 600. The parts are all the same from the older kenmores so it makes finding parts way easier if ever need be. That said the 600 should still have the spot on the back of the canister where you can hang / dock the power head for storage with the hose and wand attached.

What I was just going to suggest. It's a huge part of the reason I love them.

r/CatAdviceCan someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?!

i've explored r/VacuumCleaners a lot for this exact reason and the bare minimum for carpet is the kenmore 400 canister vacuum. you might be able to get away with the kenmore bu4050 upright for low pile, but i can't guarantee you're ever going to actually get any carpet clean without the power head. if you can go a little further than the kenmore, i strongly recommend a henry!

r/VacuumCleanersWhich vacuum cleaner, what’s the difference?

Ignore the purple one from walmart, its the same price as the orange one on amazon, but comes with fewer and worse small attachments. It's not a good deal. The main difference between the two on Amazon is the blue one has a variable suction adjustment built into the handle. This let's you lower the suction motor down, for cleaning throw rugs, dusting drapes, etc. Or allows it to vacuum really dense rugs. Really underrated feature imo. The orange one on Amazon is mostly the same minus the suction adjustment. Personally I'd get the blue one off Amazon but if you don't think the suction adjustment would be useful, the orange one is fine.

Ah sorry, the purple one on Amazon is the 600 series. It's a bit larger and more capable, with more attachments than the 200. It sort of goes like this, 200 orange is most basic, then the 200 series blue, then the purple 600, then the silver top of the line one. What kinds of floors are you looking to clean? This will determine how much a miele or sebo would run you for your situation.

First of all, your dog is so cute. This [Kenmore Intuition](https://a.co/d/iQJvWFv) would work well. This [Kenmore Canister](https://a.co/d/90JfCNM) would do well, too. It cleans carpets, it has attachments, and it’s under budget. These two vacuums are for cleaning carpets only (no attachments) but they’re under budget and would work well. [Oreck XL](https://a.co/d/9aA1IX6) [Kaercher Ranger](https://www.kaercher.com/us/commercial/vacuum-cleaners/upright/ranger-10129000.html) Between those two, I would choose the Kaercher because the brushroll pops out easily to clean it. Just noting that a difference between bagged and bagless vacuums is that bagless vacuums volumize dirt and debris, so you have to empty the bin after every clean. A bagged vacuum compacts the dirty and hair so you don’t need to change the bags until after a few months, most likely.

I have an old Kenmore canister (I don’t know the model) bought in 1977 that we still use and still works pretty well (47 years later!) Just bought a Kenmore 400 series as a gift and I hope it lasts half as long!

400 series is a slightly better version of the 200, I think the main upgrades are controls on the handle vs on the canister and a longer cord. If you can move up to the 600 though I’d highly recommend it. Longer hose, better hard floor tool, and mini power brush which is really useful if you have carpeted stairs. I used a 400 for a while and eventually sold it and bought a 600. They’re both good machines though

Kenmore 400-series canister is what I'd recommend.

r/VacuumCleanersAffordable bagged corded vacuums that would be good for pets?

Kenmore 400-series, I'd say, but I like canisters better.

Best you can get is probably the Lindhaus HF6, but it's rather expensive. For cheaper, the Kenmore 400-series.
